PROLOG
It began several thousand years ago. In an Eastern land lived a youth called Lotsuan. It is said that he bore certain features of all the human races. One day Lotsuan absorbed all of the powers of life in this universe. Then he took these powers of might and holiness and placed them into words, "Na Sadaru Lotis Ran." To enable people to understand the words fully and easily, Lotsuan divided them into 24 characters. The sacred words were called "Lotis," and awakened people to their own inner powers. Then as Lotsuan continued his travels the people revered him and called him "our master." Lotsuan charged ten disciples with the task of teaching Lotis to the world.
However, as darkness is born wherever there is light, discord arose. Lotsuan's best disciple betrayed him and created a darker set of powerful words. Those words drew on humanity's negative energies. The evil words spread througout the world like a plague. and so began the eternal battle between Maram and Lotis. Mara currupted men's souls and their negativity could someday destroy the world. But Lotsuan left a prophecy bheind. It stated thus: "If Mara should run rampant, if men's souls become courrupt and my word can no longer reach them, the time will come for the true power of Lotis to awaken. Masters who recive the "Lost Word" will surely appear."
The time for the Neomasters came, and so they did. Helped by several young Lotis masters and Nyozeka, a rabbit guide left by Lotsuan himself, Alice and Kyo were able to find the lost word and drive Darva back, though not without casulties. Nyozeka sacrificed herself to provide them with time. She was later reborn close to the Neomasters as she had wished all along. The other masters returned home to spread the lost word and the Neomasters visited various temples to help in this. Time went by in peace, those involved with the final battle faded away due to old age or other reasons until only Chris and the reborn Nyozeka were left to remember. The rest of the Lotis masters grew relaxed and the society soon crumbled.
Now, two gnerations after the defeat of the darkness, only a few Lotis masters exsit, and they are few and far between. Darva has returned and once more it is time for the Neomasters to appear... But this time, the lost word will not be enough. This time, they must find the core and destry the darkness once and for all. Knowing this would one day happen, Alice and Kyo left behind a guide for the new Neomasters, just as Nyozeku had been a guide for them...

Char> ::a fresh new day, a freash new start to a freash new life... again... yup, she'd been expelled from that ritzy boarding school in london, and her grandfather had moved them again... this time to a summer home in Japan... it was.... cozy... she was looking forward to this, to be honest, and had even told her grandfather she wanted to walk to school today. he had agreed, reluctantly. she knew the way, having been shown the school the week before, and her grandfather knew that her trusty bodyguard/butler would be with her every step of the way.... hidden more than likely, but there nonetheless. and so she finds herself waiting at an intersection for the light to change, hair pulled up into a ponytail and school uniform on, all neat and ready for her first day....::
Torin> He crept out of the house silently, both his parents worked late at night and were usually sleeping when he got up. He was always quiet and careful in moving around the house and that projected how he lived outside his home as well. He kept to himself mostly and tried not to gain any attentions from others. He was 'invisible' and he liked it that way. As he walked the familiar path to school he noticed some of his school mates... they were all laughing and greeting each other. No one noticed Torin walk by.. and he smiled. He wasn't anything special so why would he try to merge with all those taleted students at school. He would never be "good" at anything especially sports! His grandfather was well known for being a great archer and everyone had assumed Torin would be equally as good. He wasn't. He was clumsy and awkward and would rather sit in a corner and read than have people stare at him waiting for an accomplishment! But oh well.. those dreams died with his grandfather. He now stood at the crosswalk waiting for the light to change and wondering if anything exciting would happen today. Sometimes being invisible (though enjoyable) was boring!
::traffics at a temporary fourway stop as the lights are chaning.in the crosswalks, between all the cars is a small blue creature. itshuddders a bit in the road. the one decended of alice would hear people thinking, not relizing thats what it is::
what is it?
its gross
its gonna get hit
ewwwww
roadkill?
its such a shame...
::though she didn't hear the voices, she did see the blue... thing, and realized it was an animal. seeing that no one was going to help it and it's coming death, she reacted... her grandfather would often say she had no sense, but she had never been one to think much before she acted... most of the time anyway. dropping her bag, she rushes out into the street, eyes locked on the blue creature::
Torin> Lookks out and see's the creature then looks around in confusion at the voices. Why didn't anyone help it? What was wrong with these people?? He didn't bother to think of why he was suddenly hearing voices.. that would be delt with later. Right now his concern was for the creature! So without hesitation he ran out into the street intent on saving it, eyes never straying from his target!
::it looks up as them as they both hear the cars start, and honk angerly::
::she falls to her knees slightly, skinning both of them as she reaches out her arms and scoops the creature up and holds it against her, she wasn't aware of the boy that had been running to rescue the creature, or that by skidding on her knees as she had, she would slide right into him and cause him to fall ontop of her, leaving them traped in the middle of the traffic::
He felt rather than saw the collision. One moment he was trying to save a animal the next hes sprawled on top of a... girl? In the middle of the street... that was not a good thing. He gets up carefully and holds out a hand to help. "I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where i was going. I just wanted to help that creature" He pauses and looks around "Where did it go.. I hope its ok!" He looks back at the girl and winces and the skinned knees "Was that my fault?" he asked in a timid voice. He hated causing others pain.
::it was in her arms. the cars start moving and a voicefrom...somewhere...somewhere close yells SAMA and the cars all go, butgo around them::
::she looks up at him and shifts the creature to one arm to take his hand:; i'm fine... we should get out of... this... ::looking around in confusion. why were they still alive? she winces when a sudden, deep voice calls out::
YOUNG MISS GET YOUR BUT OUT OF THERE THIS INSTANT!
eh.... ::still holding his hand, she doesn't question their luck and, dodging cars, drags Torin with her back to the side she had come from then, safely out of the street, collapses, panting::
::she would almsot...see the clear path to safty as if it was painted like a crosswalk::
He blinked and let himself be dragged just noticing the traffic around them. He wondered who yelled but brought his attention back to the girls knees and quickly knelt down next to her and opened his bag pulling out a first aide kit. "We need to bandage those... they might get infected..." As he's rumaging a small cake wrapped in plastic falls out but he quickly picks it up and stuffs it back in his bag. He needed to make up for what he did... not giveout sweets!
::seeing him starting to fuss over her, she says:: oh, don't bother, i'm fine rea.... ::trails off, eyes going wide as she sees the cake:; is that.... a... cake? :;softly, awed, eyes following it::

He couldn't help it, he laughed. The way she went from one topic to another without stopping AND she seemed genuine in wanting to be his friend (something that still puzzeled him). But being so quiet and keeping to himself left little laughter in Torins life. Charli (and joseph) had now become the first eople to hear Torin REALLY laugh in years!! He calmned down and bit and nodded and grinned "Ok I'll help... I want to make sure its ok too!"
::she smiles slightly, a soft smile:: wonderful! with the three of us, there's no way we won't be able to find it! and you simply MUST come over for tea when we've found it! so that i can thank you :;quickly, and yup, her foot's still bouncing::
He sighed "If you still feel that way after school then sure. We can stop at my house and I can pick up some things to bring along to eat with tea. *thoughtfully to himself* I think I have some cookies left..."
::her eyes go sparkly and she leans in close:: cookies?!
He leans backa bit to get his 'comfort space' back. "yeah... I have cookies, muffins, cakes... all kinds of stuff at home. I had a baking binge yesterday so the house if full of stuff and my mom always says its rude not to bring anything when you visit someones home so..." He trails off and shrugs
::eyes still sparkling, she clasps her hands over her heart:: cookies.... cakes... this is truely heaven ::wistfully, foot still bouncing. the car stops and Joe gets out to open the door for them. since Torin's closer to the door than she is, she waits for him to get out then follows, bag in hand and smiles at Joe:: thank you, tell Papa that we'll have company
He gives a polite bow to Joe and smiles "Thank you for the ride!" Then turns to Charli "Do you have to go to the principal first? Are you alright to walk around? Didn't he have to carry you before? You ARE ok right? I didn't hurt you badly did i?"
::giggles a bit and sets her bag down:: i'm fine, really see? ::as she does a cartwheel, seeming to have forgotten she's wearing a skirt, and lands, rather than flat on her feet, on her toes in a ballet pose:: perfectly fine! he only had to carry me before because KYA! :;yelped as she looses her balance and falls back on her bottom. grinning, cheeks red:: because you had given me a cake... i LOVE sweets and they always have my full attention when i'm eating them
He chuckled a bit and shook his head "I see... *teasingly* perhaps I shouldn't bring anymore since they seem to grab your attention so. *nonchalantly* Oh by the way unless you want the entire heterosexual male population to follow you I suggest you don't do a cart wheel in a skirt on school grounds again.." He nods towards a groups of guys practically drooling over the scene they just witnessed "They tend to latch on and follow girls aorund like dogs... drool and all"
::she looks to where he nods and blinks, standing carefully and dusting herself off:: hmm... very good advice ::nods a bit;: it would be such a shame to get expelled again because of a few unrulely boys... a shame and a waste, don't you think? ::trying to calm her blush as she gives him a bright smile and waves to Joe as he drives away, shaking his head slightly:: i'd much rather get into trouble for something i did myself, not for something that i had to do because of them... now... where are our classrooms again? ::practically bouncing on the balls of her feet::
He sighed and led her in the school "Do you have to talk to the principal or anything first? Cause you class is next to mine."
mm, no, we handled everything last week, all i have to do is give my homeroom teacher this note ::pulling it out of her pocket:: and i'm set... supposedly... do we have lunch at the same time? :;curiously:: because i really would like to spend it with you ... but if you'd rather not then that's fine as well ::unware of the dirty looks she's getting from the girls simply by walking with the cute Torin::
Nodding he replied "Yeah.. all the same years have the same lunch. I don't care really... you can spend it with me if you like. I usually eat outside by my favorite tree." He wouldn't notice the looks either and those guy who were interested in Charli wouldn't even bother to glare at Torin b/c they didn't view him as competiton.. though they were surprised the normally quiet boy was talking to someone!
oh? where's this tree so i can meet you there... ::swinging her ba lightly as she walks beside him, seeming to give him her undivided attention. she walked with a somewhat unusual bounce to her step as though she had almost too much energy to contain::
He gives her directions not really expecting her to come. Once she got into class he was positive she'd find better people to hang out and have lunch with. He led them to her classroom and gestured toward the door "Well here it is. I'm right next door in the other class. See ya later... have fun." He gives a half-smile (to the shock of the girls who had never seen him smile at school before) and a wave before heading to his own class.
buh bye! ::cheerfully as she goes into her classroom.... after more or less floating through her classes and ignoring the curious looks she gets from her classmates, the moment lunch comes, she's out of the classroom and goes to meet Torin at the tree, where she presents him, quite happily, with properly made tea and drifts into her little cloud of bliss if she has anything sweet, and when she's not eating something sweet, talking out how to find the hedgehog after school. througout lunch, the only time she stops moving is when she's sipping her tea or eating something sweet. when she drinks her tea a serene calmness comes over her, and when she's eating the sweets... well... pure bliss is the only description::
Torin had been beyond shocked when Charli actually showed up at lunch but welcomed her and offered her another cake (much to his amusment). They discussed how to find the hedgehog and for the rest of the day those plans were on his mind. Since he had no aftershool activities he went straight for the meeting place he had arranged with Charli and waited for her to arrive so they could start searching.

::she meets him as soon as she could and, swinging her bag slightly, waves to Joe and fills him in on the plans as he hands out hedgehog bait.. i mean food:: well, shall we?
He nods and they head out and start to search for the missing hedgehog.
::they would find nothing...untill they get to tokyo tower wherepeople are staring, some one seems to be standing on top of it., butall that anyone can see from the ground is dark blue, like the tipo ofthe hedghog thing's head::
::following everyone's gazes, she looks up then grabs both Torin and Joe's arms:: that COULDN'T be..... could it? ::seeing blue and spiky and thinking their missing hedgehog, she's still bouncing slightly::
He stared up in wonder "I have no idea.... it looks too big to be a hedgehog... Mabye we should check and make sure!"
::she nods and, letting go of them, jogs toward the tower, intending to take the elevator to the top. Joe follows behind them::
::the elvators say out of order but open assoon as the two of them draw near. no one else is looking that way,. sono one notices::
He nudges Charli "Look they opened... we should take it. It'll be faster to get to the top... and no ones looking."
::nodding, she slips inside quickly, and unless the doors close before he can get to them, Joe enters behind Torin::
When they get to the top Torin steps out quickly and looks around for the figure... not sure if he wants it to be the hedgehog or not.
::as soon as all three are in the doorsclose and the elvator rises to the top. the doors hesitae then open.there are three pedistals infront of the elvator. two of them have braclets, each with a single gem, the third has a box, its behind the others and to the side a bit::
::she blinks at the braclets and picks one up:: ooh, this is pretty.... who do you think they belong to? ::studying it before nuding the box curiously::
He shrugged inspecting the other bracelet "Dunno... who keeps jewlery on the top of Tokyo tower?" They were nice but not really his thing ... he wasn't big on jewelry and turned his attention to the box.
i think they're nice... ::absently slipping the bracelet she had picked up onto her wrist and opening the box::
::it wont open::

::she tries again and frowns a bit then hands it to Torin:: can you get it open?
"Here then" He hands her his bracelet and tries to open the box.
:;takes the bracelet and toys with it as she watches::
::it wont open::
He sighs "I can't get it either... guess we need a key or something"
::takes the box back and examines it for a keyhole::
::nothing obvious::
::bites her lower lip and hands it to Joe::
:;taking it, he calmly tries::
::nothing::
"maybe we should just leave it and see if that hedgehog is here!" He was getting a bad feeling about this
::sighs a bit and shrugs:: alright... ::accepting the box from Joe, she puts it back where they got it and places the braclets back where they were as well:: these looked like they were placed here... so someone probably left them here for a reason
He shrugged and walked around them to check the top of the tower... the sooner they found the hedgehog the sooner they could leave! He was getting creeped out.
::the thing that had been atop the tower is now gone, the crowsd dispersing::
::looking around:: nothing.... i wonder what it was... i couldn't have been the hedgehog i guess....
" Guess not... wonder what it was though.." He looks at the bracelets and box again "Should we leave those there... they look important... i think"
::hesitates, chewing on her thumbnail as her free hand twrils a strand of hair around her finger:: i think we should take them and try to find their owners or something.....
He nods though has no clue how they were going to do that. He was creeped out by them but at the same time something told him to take them. He handed Charli the bracelets and grabbed the box "Lets go.. we still have a hedgehog to find!"
::she nods, slipping the braclets on, one on each wrist, though one felt like it didn't belong::
He heads back into the elevator waiting for Charli (and Joe if hes out there) to follow.
::and they do::
::the doors close but the elvator dosnt move::
::frowinging, she hits the lobby button:: why aren't we moving?
He shrugs but looks a little worried "I don't know...should we try to walk down?"

maybe ::tries the open doors button:: ::the doors wont open:: okay... now i'm worried :;cheerfully as she searches for an emergancy button and, if finding it, pushes it:: His eyes widen "Greeeaaaatttt.. we're stuck.... stuck..." He has to stop talking at that point otherwise the other two would know he was starting to panic. NOW he remembers why he never takes elevators..he could feel the normal panic setting in and tried taking deep (but quiet) breathes to calm himself. ::she looks around, finger tapping the wall absently:: there has.... has to be way out....we just... you know.. .need to find it...::the hedgehog, hidden watches, frustrated::He backs against the wall and takes another deep breath "Any luck finding it?" ::a voice only he can hear::you proved your corange before. you must take it...and use it. she took hers. Claim your corage i'm looking ::seeing him growing more and more distressed, clarity dawns on her. he was claustrophobic.... working hard not to allow her worry for him to show, she keeps her expression more or less cheerful as she tries to find a way out, wishing more than anything at the moement, that she could just open those blasted doors...:: He looked around.. more voices? He whispers to himself "Huh? Claim my courage? What does that mean?" Glancing down at the box he wonders if it has something to do with it... You have all the corage you need :again only he can hear the female voice:: Getting fustrated he clenched his fists... why riddles?? Couldn't the strange voices just TELL him what he needed?? Why did he have to figure it out... this wasn't the ideal thinking situation... He paused maybe... "Hey Charli.. lemme see the other bracelet?" huh? oh.... :: without really thinking, she pulls off the one that just doesn't feel right. it was a little too big for her wrist anyway and she had been having trouble keeping it on. she hands it to him:: here He takes it and slips it on his wrist.. hoping this was what was needed. Don't tell me your that voice??" voice? what voice? ::confused, she steps out, followed by her faithful shadow, Joe:: Bin-go! ::she beams and takes their hands,the ones with the braclets and holds them up leading them out of theelvator happily:: I found not one but two! Zeki's gonna be so proud! Welcome! um... who's Zeki... and who're you? He groaned "You made me be stuck in an elevator just so I'd wear jewelry?? Here take it back!" He starts to take the bracelet off hey hey hey! don't take that off! youll need it. ::bops his nose, letting go of charli's hand but keeping his:: :;taking this oppertunity, she steps out of reach:: please explain what's going on He stares at her blankly "Why? *pause* Can I have my hand back?" bing-go! thats exactly my job! To tell youguys everything... welll...not everything...because theres a lot youhave to learn yourself.... but Ill teach you what I can. We are the newgeneration! new genreation of... what exac...::stops and looks closer at her bracelet:: hey.... Papa has a bracelet like this ::just realizing:: only his has more beads..... Pappa? your too young to say Pappa...arnt you?"New generation?" He was very confused he looked at Charli "He does? Maybe its a family thing.. but then why doI have one?" He really wanted his hand back... it was awkward having this.... girl? holding onto it! Papa... my grandfather, he raised me, and he does.... it's got this little cross thing and everything... he loves to tell me all sorts of stories about it like how each bead represents a diffrent magical word... it's not a family
thing though, because he was the only one to ever really have one.... and he never told me the truth of where he got it What did he tell you?::curious::

He raised and eyebrow ... words? represented by.. beads on a bracelet? He shook his head.. Now he was going crazy!! Along WITH the voices in his head!
um, well... ::twisting the braclet she tilts her head, thinking a moment and then:: basically there are twenty four words that have power... each word does something diffrent... and there were people, before i was born, that trained in the use of these words... umm... they were called Lo... Lo... ::taps her forehead lightly then snaps:: Lotis words.... that's it! and they were used to drive back darkness or something like that... i used to love hearing his stories when i was younger...
awwwww man... if you know everythingalready...whats the point of me? Shucks. ::a small poof and she goesback to looking like sonic, arms crossed and pouting::
::stares:; wh.... wha.... wha.... ::blinks then turns and walks away::
Looks at the others then at the bracelet, then back again... then jumps when the wierd girl turns into the hedgehog "I didn't know any of this... and now.. I'm going home so I can wake up from this dream" He looks over at Charli "where you going?"
I'm supposed to teach you all thay::grumped::
::glancing back at him:: home, none of this is real becaue Papa's stories are just stories and that ::points to the hedgehog:: is like five inches from being something out of his stories. if she was a rabbit i'd call her Nyozeka and jump off this freaking tower because obviously i would have been dreaming... as it is, i think i've simply gone insane
Zeki! shes the one who tought me what I amsupposed to teach you! She gave alice her first braclet...um...I dontremeber oif she told me she gave Kyo his...frei had his...
Torin nodded "Ah... me too. At least you didn't hear voices in your head.... wait a min *turns toward the hedgehog* Alice.. and Kyo? Those were my grandparents! How do you know them!!"

Zeki told me to keep a watch::nodding::she said if she had been more open she woulda known Kyo was one too, but she got so focused on alice.... so I checked you both when you helped me! So, let's get training!
