▶ ADVENTUROUS — Ibarra doesn't define 'adventure' necessarily as 'outdoor activities'. He's down for anything awesome ranging from sports, rollercoasters, and even multiplayer videogames. He's brave to volunteer on anything that would spice up his life, might as well with company- no matter how wild the ride could be. He believes in the saying "You only live once" and he cherishes the adventurous memories for him tell people about, whether they like it or not. If anything, he's willing to take any opportunity to make his life colorful, vibrant, and a great journey without any regrets.
▶ ASSERTIVE — Bold, decisive, and confident-- Ibarra is capable to standing up for himself and for the other people he cared about. He apparently has the want to get people to perk up and be like him, trying with his ability to encourage people to be confident with anything. He's bold to know what he is doing, but he's not being careless. He may be confident to take the credit he deserves but not boastful. But being decisive ended up with him being stubborn, especially to people who doesn't gain trust from him.
▶ TALKATIVE — Ibarra is the type to ramble about something he is interested about, even if the people he was talking to probably won't care. His brain probably likes to run around, and generally doesn't see the issue of spouting interesting topics and fun facts. A budding extrovert, he would gladly talk to everyone who is willing especially those with good vibes. However, that gives him the chance to put his foot down to mouth and making really awkward situations.
▶ SENSITIVE — An emotional kid, Ibarra could be easily angered just like her sister- but it was not just that. He has a lot of empathy going on to the people around him that he sometimes has a heart on his sleeve. He's really sensitive to the people close to him and would detect if they were down or anything like that, as well as being easily offended. Well, sure, he does has the ability to suppress his emotions if need be, but doing so would only make him feel worse- that's why he has to express it before it implodes on him.
▶ CLEVER — He may be bold, brave, and adventurous- but he has a brain to boot. Ibarra loves solving puzzles just as how he loves playing mystery video games, which is basically why he's a fan of RPG Adventure Games and mystery television series- because it involves adventure and solving the unknown, then he gets to proceed into new quests after succeeding. He loves putting gears together and doing anything that has something to do with computers, just anything that makes him think.
▶ LOYAL — Ibarra, no matter how tired he can be towards his loved ones, is the one you'd count on being fiercely loyal. He will always have you back and will fight alongside you in a fight even if he still thinks that it's a bad idea. Sometimes, he can even sneak and deal someone else's matters by himself after gathering the reasons why he has the right to do so. This sense of loyalty wasn't blind of course: If you're his friend, expect him to question your schemes or scold you from the trouble you start.

➥ Background History
▶ CHILDHOOD — Ibarra was born to two supportive Filipino parents- a half-blood squib mother and a muggleborn wizard father in St. Ottery Cathpole. He grew up with technology around the house, and so it started his love for video games when he played games that involved him putting the pieces together to advance to the next chapter. He grew up watching TV Series of people using technology like hacking and the like to save the world- much like, say, the tv series of The Flash. However, he was fairly convinced that he was probably a squib like their mother- but it wasn't like it affected him when it meant that he could do technology! Though, when it was discovered that Clara was a witch and went to Hogwarts, he couldn't help the feeling of missing her except the winter holidays- as well as two months of summertime. Also, he sometimes wondered if he was going to be a wizard too, just like the majority of his family- which meant that he might kiss that Hacker dream job goodbye.
His fears came true when he was ten years old at summer, as he was showing signs of magic at home and at school that his parents immediately recognize. Sadly, Ibarra didn't take this well and his family tried to console him as possible. How was he ever going to indulge to computers when his magic was going to break them up? While he was trying to embrace his magic, at least for his parents' sake, it left him sad that he won't be a squib like his mother. Wizards would call Ibarra 'weird' for not wanting to be a wizard, but it happened. Now he was expected to go to this tech-free school and he was not looking forward for it.
▶ SCHOOL LIFE — Ibarra went to school, meeting Akira Yamazaki and Callista Hargrave since they have met before in the Diagon Alley. Ibarra strangely warmed up to Akira no matter how many times he knew about how Akira was being a smartarse, while at the same time they were on the same page that they bonded. Callista, on the other hand, was someone Ibarra never liked even since she called him a 'payaso' as if he didn't know what it mean. His point was that, in his perspective, Callista acted like an arrogant princess. Other than that, Ibarra didn't like the school that much due to lack of technology, though he cannot deny that he liked wandwork classes. His second year on the other hand was pretty much uneventful, though he did met one of Clara's name by the name of Jim Ottosen and it was clear that Ibarra didn't like him. Mainly because Jim came off as condescending and obnoxious when around Barry due to him being younger, and also seemed to be the type to generalize things.
Coming third year, Ibarra felt a bad feeling towards Jim especially when he was having a hunch that the older guy clearly didn't want him around. He learned to ignore it, trying to shrug it off as overreacting. Then he happened to hear Clara ranting to their cousin Kenji about how she was growing exasperated at Jim when they visit Kenji one day. So Ibarra decided to take a risky move and tell Jim to leave Clara alone... only that it backfired horribly. It affect him not because he was punched, but because Jim drilled on his head that he was living under the delusion that he was smart- and the reason why Ibarra was in Gryffindor was "because he cannot match the smartness of Ravenclaws and Slytherins". Additionally, Jim also told Ibarra that he will be wolf anyway if he tried telling the others because of how benevolent Jim was, and thus Barry kept himself quiet. It took so many months until Clara immediately picked it up and interrogated Barry about what happened and much to Barry's surprised, she believed him. Even heard from the rumor mill that she broke in a fight with Jim. That didn't change Barry's doubt about this skills, though, and as a result he downplayed his abilities than he usually did.
His fourth year was pretty much Barry struggling to get back on his feet, with Akira trying to assure him that he wasn't what Jim had told him over the summer. It was also the year of trying to avoid his sister being protective towards him, and trying to fight himself from being awfully awkward towards girls. Speaking of girls, Barry was starting to think that Akira and Callista were being tense to each other, wondering if they were trying way too hard to sabotage their feelings at each other. And if that's the case, they're probably crazy.
