Nessiaing
Nodin let out a long yawn, he had slipped away from the family to take an afternoon nap. It felt wonderfully sneaky to get away and lounge in the sunlight. He knew that most likely most of his family wouldn't care if he was napping but the sneaking away added a level of thrill to it for him.

The black fur on his back had warmed a great deal in the sunlight while he slept. Blinking a few times and looking around he decided now would be a good time for a swim. He moved towards a local stream.

Seaki
Latta was laughing. That wasn't unusual, though, because Latta was always laughing. A small giggle after sentences or breathy laughter after a particularly good chase. The point was, Latta loved to laugh. It was in her nature. Today she was particularly giggly. Her front toes were pressed into the sand on the bank of a steam and small fish were darting against her legs and it tickled against her skin.

Nessiaing
Nodin moved quickly and smoothly into the water. He quickly ducked his under the water and swam a few strokes before popping back up to the surface. He was instantly cooled by the refreshing water. It was shaping up to be a perfect day. First a nap now a swim he wondered what else the gods might have in store for him.

As he blinked the water out of his eyes he noticed a colourful hyena not far from where he was, her laughter filling in the air. He moved towards her drawn to her at once. "Hello there." he said a smile on his maw. He was a flirtatious boy and this female just had something about her.

Seaki
Latta ' s laughter tapered off to small giggles when another hyena popped out of the water. Most of the fish that were nipping at her legs fled, but a few of the braver fish lingered. "Hello," she greeted in turn. "What brings you here? Are you a water hyena?" She asked with a laugh.

Nessiaing
Nodin smiled seeing the female hyena. She seemed friendly and kind. He was happy to have stumbled upon her. "Not a water hyena just a hot one." he answered as he swam to the shore and pulled himself up on it.

"My name is Nodin, who are you?" he asked giving himself a shake to get rid of the excess water that clung to his pelt. He eyed the female trying to make sure she was as nice and friendly as she seemed.

Seaki
"It is quite warm out here," She agreed easily. She didn't feel it so much, though, with her white fur. It reflected the sun away from her, though she could still feel the heat on her fur. She watched him swim closer and pull himself out of the cooler water, a smile remaining on her face.

"I'm called Latta!" She chirped cheerfully. "Nice to meet you Nodin." The white hyena hadn't been from around the area, but she had lingered the last while. The stream was convenient and easy and no one really tried to drive her away. "What brings you here?" She asked, eyes glittering in amusement.

Nessiaing
Deciding that he was likely dry enough and that the sun would do the rest of his drying he settled himself next to the lighter coloured female. "I live not far from here.. my whole family does." Nodin said shaking his head a little to get the water that seemed to have settled in his ears. "My parents are there and my four siblings." he said with a smile. He loved his family especially his twin.. even though there were days and times he needed his space.

"What about you do you live around here? I've never seen you before what about you do you have a big family." Nodin was full of energy now that he had cooled down a little and was becoming a chatter box.

Seaki
"I've been hanging around a bit, but this isn't my home," Latta answered with a kind smile. "My family's pretty small, but we've all gone our separate ways by now! We used to be part of a pack, but it wasn't big or anything, more of a group." She was uncertain as to what to call it, besides a pack. Even so, it had kind of crumbled and she had gone to explore.

Still, though, the splotchy hyena was glad she had someone to talk to! There was no need to be sad about her past, she thought, when the present was so fun and the future held a promise of unpredictability! She gave a small laugh. "I may head out soon," She stated, "there's much of the world to still see!"

Nessiaing
Nodin smiled the female hyena didn't seem to mind being without her family but Nodin couldn't imagine it, as much as he liked alone time his twin was his lifeline.

WIth all of that in mind Nodin was surprised by the next words that came out of his mouth "Would you like to have a travel companion for a little while?" he asked her. He did his best to hide the shock from his face. Although he knew he would miss his family he also felt excitement growing with the idea of getting out there and seeing the world, and this female seemed like a great candidate to travel with. He would be able to find his family once he got out there a little bit

Latta gave a small surprised laugh. That was just absolutely delightful! “I would love a travel companion!” She said, enthused. She wasn’t quite sure how long he would stay with her, but that didn’t matter.

It would be so fun having someone to travel with, even if it was just for a short time. “Well, what are we waiting for?” She started. “Let’s Go!”
