User Image The lone senshi heaved a pretty heavy sigh. How did the song go? Alone again... Naturally. She looked down from her high perch on the roof of a building. Not that she was going to kill herself or anything. If Maenalus died it would be of old age or while fighting Chaos (because honestly she was still pretty shitty at fighting). But now that she got herself thinking about it...

Maenalus hopped down from her perch and straightened up. She was patrolling alone on a warm Friday night. Perfect weather for people to be out enjoying in the bustling little hub of Destiny City. Which meant it was perfect for Negaverse agents to be trying to drain some energy or steal some star seeds. Therefore, it was her noble duty to be protecting the vulnerable civilians. But god, she could really go for a ******** drink right about now.

Maenalus eyed the nearby bar. She had seen it plenty, people came out staggering drunk and oblivious, and, viola! Dinner was served - so to speak - for those agents of Chaos. Some literally, she mused, thinking of youma who so loved to eat star seeds. But the neon lights and air heavy with smoke and laughter beckoned to her. Just to take the edge off... She could power down, pound a couple of shots, then henshin back up, right? She chewed her lip. She deserved this, right? However, the angel on her shoulder gently reminded her, But Maenalus, you suck at fighting, and even a single drink might impair that!

She was still arguing with herself when she noticed a faint and malicious energy signature. Was it weak or far off? Or both? Her attention came back to the matter at hand and she narrowed her blue eyes. The drinks would have to wait until later...

Castor had recovered somewhat from his stay under Alkaid's care, yet he was still weak and rather sore in a variety of ways. Caution was key for him as of late, and the now once deep wounds had healed over to a nice faded pink. He was guessing three to five years before the scars would begin to fade. Until them the pale pink lines would eventually go white and act as nothing more than reminders that he was human still.

Despite what his soul might have said to the contrary.

It was not so often he flitted from area to area as royal any longer, but rather he kept it to distinct areas. Away from places where he'd draw too much attention to those who'd make easy prey. Nearer more active areas. A challenge to any who might have thought to hunt those who suspected the least. Perhaps a bit contrary in thought, it sounded sane when he'd initially thought of it.

So far, he was halfway to his starting location, not yet royal as he felt the dim hum of chaos encroaching upon what sounded like a pub of some sort. That- and something, someone else. Smaller than some, perhaps newer. Yet the youma he spotted as he rounded a corner was not the type a lower ranked order fighter might handle on their own. Serrated scales and a muscular frame like a cat was much more than just threatening to look at.

Whoever they were, they were the target most likely and Castor scowled as he drew power into himself, wings unfurling behind him in a soft haze of cold and ice.
"Hey now." He called out to the beast, who only then looked his direction.
"Why don't you come after something with a bit more metaphysical meat ya dumb freak." He looked up and around, hoping whoever was near would take the cue.

"If you're around- senshi or page, I'd suggest you book it; or get ready for a rumble."

As the senshi quickened her pace to get to the dark energy, she sensed it as larger and more dangerous than what she'd initially pegged it for. Also - she started a little bit - some kind of Order entity. She had never felt anything like it. To her it felt so pure and good, like safety or a sword against darkness. She'd been around super senshi before, but this must be an eternal. Her heart began to pound. A tough youma and an eternal.

In what took very little time, but felt like an eternity drawn out because of her excitement, she sprinted until she finally came upon them. Just in time to hear the senshi speak. She couldn't sit this one out, her thirst for adventure called to her and her inexperience didn't imbue with her the sense of caution she ought to have had.

"I can help!"

I think. As she had been approaching, she felt the senshi's energy begin to change and grow stronger. She had been a senshi for five years, but she had no idea what an eternal was truly capable of. Maenalus had barely caught his wings finish unfurling and could have almost shivered just looking at the misty ice and near-tangible cold. This, this was... different. She let herself get lost for a second, sizing him up. Hair, long and white. Scars, all over, and pink still. As impressed as she was with him, she shuddered to think what could have done that to someone with such power.

A wild snarl from the youma brought her attention back to it as much as she wanted to keep oogling her ally. Every inch of the thing seemed like it could cut you just by looking at it. She wasn't able to compare youma to senshi levels as effectively as others might, but this one was definitely like a super senshi, if not stronger. Maenalus didn't want to think of what it could be capable of doing to innocent civilians.

While keeping her eyes on the youma so she wouldn't get lost looking at her Order companion again, she spoke.

"I think I can distract it, since I'm the easier target."

As if it was agreeing, the youma watched her with the intensity of a mountain lion ready to pounce upon on a fawn. It was probably doomed, given the power of Maenalus' new fighting buddy, but the single-minded youma could still have a chance to take her out before it was dusted.

So why wasn't she more scared?

A senshi- He smiled to himself, glad that some were willing to fight even when faced with something that very clearly planned on making a meal out of them. "Bella, you do a fine job of distracting me so that'll do just fine. Be mindful that the youma has claws though." And fangs and abilities unknown. What they had to do was mitigate the damage and here while he could use his tiara, he was curious to see the newer senshi's skill.

Trials by fire were a tried and true method of senshi life anyway he reasoned. Plus she seemed confident.

"Alright, let's just even the odds then." Running forward, the youma spun getting ready to strike at the one coming near. It was when Castor got in range that wings went out, lifting his jump and sending him skyward for a moment.
"Heaven's Fury!" This was the thrill he craved. The types of battles he yearned for.
Ice covering his fist, Castor let gravity and his weight do the work for him, slamming the gauntlet of ice into the beast's back. A crack echoed in the air and it let out a piercing scream. He didn't land far off as he kicked himself away, letting the youma do what youma did- look for the nearest and most redily available source of energy- the normal senshi.

"You're up Bella!"
