Addy stuffed her Romano's jacket into her backpack and packed it down tightly along with her beret. Without that, her uniform could pass for a normal outfit, right? She slipped off her gloves and tucked them away safely in a side pouch before pulling out her compact. Hat hair. The girl worked to smooth out her bangs and the top of her head before opting to undo the braid and let her hair fall around her, a thick mess of sunset colored waves against her dark skin. She scrunched up the top a bit to make it match before following a group of students through the door. She didn't spend much time at DCU; after all, she had no reason to. She had taken a tour once a few months ago but the only thing she really remembered was the library. There had been so many rare books that she wanted to get her hands on and she was a bit sad that she couldn't take them home with her today but at least she could use them...Right? Make photocopies? Take pictures with her phone? Addy wanted something to give her paper some extra oomf. She wanted to impress the staff at Romano's by showing she was dedicated enough for the advanced degree and she was sure she was close. If she just worked a little harder... The girl scooted closer to the group in front of her to appear like she was one of them, though she obviously had a much younger face. No matter. If she kept her head downcast she could probably hide in her abundance of hair. Truthfully, she wasn't even sure why she was so nervous. It wasn't like a high school student being in a college library was a crime or anything. Still, she felt like she should be careful. Maybe it was just for the fun of it. The teen could pretend she was living a double life. Romano's student by day, dangerous spy girl by midafternoon. She scrunched up her face into her best James Bond impression, wondering what his next move would be. Except she was sure a spy would be able to find the index computers. Ummm. She had expected there to be signs. Addy let the group slip away and stood in place, unaware that the sign was hanging quite literally above her head. She tried her best not to look completely lost as she scanned the room, scratching her head. To ask the library staff would be to risk discovery. A secret agent could never do that. SSBrosB I tried to come up with some sort of reason to interact? I dunno. Hopefully looking like a lost dorky school girl can start some sort of interaction. v-v ALSO PLEASE FORGIVE THE HORRIBLE PUN NAME. I am not proud.

Tom sighed and rubbed his eyes a bit as he stared at the medical books before him. He considered himself lucky that not only had he been able to find them, but that there had been an empty table in the library that he could study them on. But that didn’t mean it was any easier. He wished he could have rented the books out, but unfortunately they were bound to the library as they were very specific books and they were required for one of his classes, which meant sharing them between 29 other classmates. So he could only rent them for a couple of hours.
He couldn’t make any photocopies either because he would be hogging one of the machines as practically every page needed to have notes taken off of them. So here he was, in the library studying when he could be outside doing… something else. He didn’t know what, but at least it would be more entertaining and easier on the eyes.
Sighing he stretched his arms above his head for a bit and looked around, noticing a girl in the library who seemed a bit lost. He wasn’t surprised; the library could be quite confusing, especially having multiple floors.
Well… he could always take a break. He had been studying for almost 2 hours already and would have to turn the book in soon. At least he had plenty of time to read over the notes again before they were required in class. So he quickly gathered his things and turned the book in before walking towards the girl. He hoped he wouldn’t scare her, though a strange guy going up to a girl in the library could be a little frightening, but that wouldn’t stop him. As he walked up to the girl he said, “Hey, you look a little lost. Need help finding anything?”Kallysto It's perfectly fine XD And I would add [Reg] to the title just so they know what it is.

Adelinde bit her bottom lip and ran her fingers through her hair, ruffling the sunset waves and scrunching up her nose. Going to the circulation desk was out of the question. They might realize she was a little young. She could always say she was on a tour but that might lead to fact checking. Anyways, why was she so worried? This wasn't a felony. She could always say she got lost. Bah. She spun around slowly in place looking for the sign before nearly jumping out of her skin at Tom's approach. Her backpack fell from her shoulder and her uniform hat popped out. She had not hear him come up and her back had been turned. She only half heard what he has said as she stooped down to scoop her uniform back into her bag, hoping he wouldn't catch on to the school symbol emblazoned on her hat. "Lost, um. No. No. Not at all. Why do you ask?" she blurted out, cheeks going pink at her little display. Some James Bond she was. Welp. Now the spy game was over. That took all the mysterious fun out of it. Now she was just an overachiever looking for some material on a dead Greek playwright. SSBrosB Short tag is short. v-v; Getting back into RPing. Sorreh.

Tom flinched a bit as the girl jumped and dropped her bag, letting what looked to be a Romano’s uniform hat. Huh, looks like it’s already starting then. He thought to himself as he watched the girl stuff it back in the bag. He wondered what she was doing here, though perhaps it was for materials she couldn’t get easily elsewhere.
He felt guilty for scaring her, though he had just wanted to help. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said, trying to apologize and reassure the girl. “It’s just that you looked… lost. Have you never been here before?” She probably hadn’t and was probably nervous but he might as well ask. Hopefully he could help her in some way, though he wondered if she had any sort of library card to be able to check books out. “You need help finding anything?”Kallysto Whoops, sorry if you wanted her to be a ninja a bit longer sweatdrop

Addy scrunched up her face at his first question. She wasn't overly fond of unnecessary lies. I mean, he didn't seem like someone who worked there; he just seemed like a nice guy trying to lend her a hand. And she, on the other hand, looked like a basket case. Ah well. Normal day then, she supposed. "No, it's fine, I was totally in my head," she responded, trying to fight the sheepish tone out of her voice and flashing him a quick smile, "I uh, don't come here often," she started before sighing and deciding to tell the truth. Couldn't hurt, right? "And by often I mean...never," she admitted glancing around to avoid his eyes and hide her own embarrassment at making a fool out of herself. "I um, I'm looking for the Bryn Mawr Aeschylus text. Prometheus Bound. I wanted some notes on their translation ideas. I've been working on one myself for analysis and I was hoping they'd be able to help me figure my way around a wonky verb form because ancient Greek is finicky and- Sorry. I'm rambling," She glanced around once more before shouldering her backpack and running her fingers through her hair. "Do you, um, know where I might find that? Oh. I'm Adelinde, by the way. Addy, even. You are?" Her dad would not have been amused that she didn't introduce herself sooner. She could hear his voice in her head. 'Manners, Adelinde. They separate us from the masses.' SSBrosB You are totally fine! Addy whining is not me whining. I set it up for you to be able to at least do something rather than just watch her, haha. I'm just sorry it is taking me so long to respond. Getting back into RPing people and it is different.

Tom had a small smile on his face as the girl admitted that it was her first time there. Well, everyone had been new at some point. Though what she had said jumbled up into his head a bit.
He may have been good in terms of medical terminology, but this sounded more like some sort of literature course problem, which he wasn’t the best at. Ah well, everyone had their strengths and weaknesses. He tried not to make it look as if he had just been totally confused.
“I’m Thomas but please, just call me Tom. It’s nice to meet you Addy.” He replied, smiling at her and hoping he was calming her nerves down a bit. “Unfortunately I’m not exactly sure where that would be located, but I can look it up on one of the computers. Then it’s just a matter of going to whichever section it’s located in.” He said this while shuffling his bag around trying to find his library card.
I just had the darn thing too… He thought to himself as he tried to remember which pocket he had put the card in.Kallysto You're fine, I think you are rping well.

"It's nice to meet you too, Tom. That would be super helpful. I was looking for one of those index computers but apparently I am blind so," she trailed off, "I mean, you would think there would be a sign or something. Anyways, thank you." Addy readjusted her backpack and glanced around, taking a look at the roof above her. Her cheeks splashed pink once more as she noticed the sign directing her to the computer she was seeking. Failed spot check on that one. "So Tom, what are you studying here?" she asked, trying to bury the embarrassment in small talk. Maybe if she distracted him from what a colossal dork she was being, he would not notice how blind she was. That would be ideal.

Tom shrugged one of his shoulders. “Don’t worry, everyone misses a sign eventually in their life. It’s how you act afterwards that determines whether you should be embarrassed or not.” He replied, winking a bit at her. There were plenty of people who would get angry with the workers just because they missed a sign.
“Going for my pre-med degree. Hoping to be a general practitioner. I want to work at a private practice more than a hospital but also serve as many people as I can, so I figured that was the best way.” He smiled at her a little.
“You have anything in particular that you want to be? Or just trying to do the best at school for right now?” Might as well continue the small talk.

Addy nodded and bit her lip at the same time when Tom mentioned the sign. She was not very good at this "hiding your emotions" thing, apparently. That was good to know. Her daddy always said she had her heart on her sleeve but she never quite got what he meant. Maybe this was it. It would explain why he always seemed to read her mind anyways. The twinge of loneliness at the thought of her father welled up in her gut but Addy forced it back down. She could worry about that later. "Pre-med eh? Sounds...Complicated. But it is nice that you want to help people. A lot of people only get into it for the money," she replied, considering his question. The teen had no real idea what she wanted to be just yet. I mean, she had a lot of options open to her, but when it came down to deciding her whole future right on the spot she felt overwhelmed. That was a lot of pressure for a 17 year old girl. "Right now I am pushing for an advanced degree at Romano's. It would knock a year of college off my docket so," she trailed off, deciding it best not to burden a stranger with the struggles of deciding your whole life when you were just a teen. Maybe he just got out of that himself. He couldn't be that much older than her. He probably understood that better than she did. Addy slowly scooted over to the computer and slid the mouse to wake up the screen before typing in the name of the book she was searching for. "I dunno, maybe I'll be pre-med too someday. Dr. Monroe has a nice ring to it," she joked with a snicker.

Tom nodded. “Well, it’s okay not to have everything figured out at your age. I just know what I’ve always wanted to be.” He had been too fed up with the health system of their country from an early age. His dad working in the health insurance business had introduced him to it.
“Romano’s eh? That’s that new sort of military school that just opened up right? How are you enjoying it?” He had only seen the models of the school at the meeting he had gone to and he wasn’t in any position to get a job there, nor did he really want to, but he was curious as to the type of students it attracted.
He followed her over to the computer and watched as she searched for her book. “Well, we could always use more doctors! And Dr. Monroe does have a nice ring to it.” He replied, laughing a bit. The name was at least a bit more serious that some of the other unfortunate last names some of his classmates had.Kallysto Sorry I took so long to reply!
