Run by a smaller branch of the Unova region's famous ice cream franchise, the Casteliacone Ice Cream Cart is one King Town's major tourist attractions. Every day the streets are packed with huge lines of people wanting to get their hands on the delicious ice cream, regardless of how long the wait is. We all know it's good, but please try to be civil about it and be respectful to others waiting in line. After numerous complaints, cutting in said line is now punishable by a night's stay in the town prison, so PLEASE be polite and wait your turn!

Laram found the cart relatively quickly and whistled at the line in front of it. He wondered why the treat was so popular, but shrugged it off and walked up to the cart, bypassing the line."Sorry to bother you, but I'm here to pick up the radio tower's order."The cart owner nodded and handed the trainer a bag that looked insulated. Luckily it had a strap, that he slung over his shoulder."Make sure you get that back as quick as possible. That bag is insulated, but it's not gonna last forever. You probably have about two hours before all those cones melt.""I understand. Thank you."Laram nodded, and ignored the death stares from the patrons waiting in line. It had only taken him fifteen minutes to find the cart, so he assumed it would only take another ten to get back to the radio tower. He walked off in the direction of the tower, but he didn't get far before he was ambushed.
Two Pokemon ran out from an alley and blocked the trainer's path forward. By their body language, they were looking for a fight. His suspicions were confirmed when their trainers appeared and stood behind their Pokemon. Laram sighed. "Drop the cones and we won't hurt you." "You tell him Katherine!""Shut up Peter! Don't tell him my name!""Don't tell me to shut up!"The pair continued to bicker with each other. So much so, that they didn't seem to notice when Laram pulled out his Pokedex and scanned their Pokemon. The device revealed them to be a Scraggy and Glameow. While he kept an eye on his would-be muggers, Laram pocketed his encyclopedia and released Shadow and Firnen out in front of him. This seemed to catch Peter and Katherine's attention. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!? We're not going to let you fight back! Glameow, get that bag!"Laram wasn't about to give up his delivery. So it looked like he was in for a battle.

Laram sighed as he turned his body to avoid the cat Pokemon lunging toward him. He didn't want to fight them, but they weren't giving much of a choice. Normally, he would just run for it, but he wasn't too familiar with the city, and he didn't want to risk the cones melting by getting lost."You know what? Fine."Laram retrieved two pokeballs from his pack and released two of his team in front of him. Thor, in front of the Glameow that had darted past him, and Firnen in front of his would-be muggers."You want to do this? Then let's do this. Firnen, Fire Spin, Thor, Thunder Wave."Laram noted the look of surprise on the child duo's faces. It was as if they never considered that he might resist them. Perhaps they didn't know that he was a trainer. Either way, he had a job to do, and they were in his way. Thor began twirling his arms in a circular fashion, building a ball of electricity between the horns on his head. At the same time, Firnen belched a stream of fire that swirled clockwise as it was hurled towards his opponent. Thor released the electricity towards Glameow in the form of yellow rings that surrounded and struck their target. Simultaneously, the flames from Firnen engulfed the Scraggy, blocking his movement.
"We should end it here. There's no reason to get your Pokemon hurt. It's just ice cream.""You wouldn't understand! You don't know what it's like growing up poor; barely having enough money to scrape by! We sleep on mattresses that are older than us! We've worn the same shoes for two years now! What would some privileged trainer who has had everything given to him understand?!? I bet even your Pokemon were handed to you on a silver platter!"Laram's eyes widened over the whole accusatory monologue. He wanted to scream and laugh all at the same time. But all he ended up doing was sigh again. He realized, that they were just thinking like children. Children shouldn't have to go through the hardships he had when he was younger. They felt like they were having a hard time. So he felt compassion, even if they didn't fully understand how hard it could be. They were kids, they shouldn't have to bear that burden."I'll make you two a deal. If you promise to stop attacking people, and take your Pokemon to the center, I'll give you each a castelia cone. How does that sound?"Their eyes lit up, and Peter vigorously nodded in agreement. Katherine hesitated, but after seeing her Glameow struggling to move, also agreed."Good. Firnen, release his Scraggy."Laram watched as the flames dissipated around Peter's Pokemon and he reached into the insulated bag on his back as he walked up to his ex-muggers. He handed them each a cone."Here."The duo eagerly began devouring their spoils, and Laram strode off towards the radio tower. However, he had Firnen and Thor walk with him. He didn't feel like getting jumped again.
