Quote: As the dates of Anthemusa approached, emails had been sent out to all interested parties, tailored specifically to the recipient and whether they had inquired about setting up a vendor station or if they'd applied to participate as a musical talent. Either way, they received a message: Dear Torgo,
Renegade Media would like to thank you for your interest in performing for Anthemusa and would like to welcome you at it's doors on Monday June 27, 2016 for a formal meeting at 4:30 PM.
Miss Jade Argent, of YouTube's Ally Argent, will meet you in the lobby and guide you to the designated conference room where your audition will take place. Please provide a set list for today's audition with two to three pieces as well as your proposed set list for Anthemusa. Please see the attached documents for a list of forms we required.
We look forward to seeing you.
Sincerely,
The Renegade Media Corporation. The attached files included disclosure statements, a list of required operating permits for the vendors, along with a small detailed contract entailing what type of proceeds were required from the vendors and how the performers would be paid, among other legal forms. Also included was the company's address and information on where they would be able to find parking, assuring that the front desk would validate as needed. On the date designated by the letter they would find Jade standing before the front desk in a simple pale colored blouse, dark skirt, and tights with a clipboard. Her white hair fell in soft, short waves and one side was tucked behind an ear. She was leaning against the counter, conversing with the receptionist behind it while waiting. The hand that wasn't holding the clipboard securely against her chest was waving about animatedly, a grin on her face as she recounted some sort of story.
Blue eyes kept glancing towards the door to make sure she didn't miss her guest.

Robin Attewood was nothing if not punctual. He was a professional, after all, and professionals had to behave in a professional manner. It wouldn't do to turn up late for a meeting regarding a potential gig. He was prepared, too -- he carried a folder containing the completed paperwork requested in the email he'd gotten from Renegade Media, all signed by him as the representative of Torgo. He'd even dressed in a more professional manner than he usually did; his typical baggy pants were eschewed for more closely-fitted black jeans, and his black t-shirt bore the Torgo logo. Yeah, he was representing himself well, he thought. He just wished the lads he'd hired to play bass and drums for him had been able to make it, but he wasn't worried. His time busking had proved he could go it alone if he needed to. And he knew they'd be there for the actual paying gig. The Dryve rideshare car stopped in front of the address, and as the driver opened the trunk Rob exited the vehicle and retrieved a portable guitar amp and a gig bag containing one of his Les Pauls and a couple of effects boxes. Slinging the gig bag over one shoulder, he paid the driver and made his way through the door of the building, looking around for Jade Argent. He'd done his research and watched some of Ally Argent's YouTube videos, so he had some idea of who he was looking for. Luckily she was easy to spot, conversing with the receptionist at the front desk. He checked the clock above the desk. 4.30 on the nose. Damn, he was good. "Jade Argent?" he asked with a smile, holding out his free hand. "I'm Robin Attewood of Torgo. I'm here for the audition for Anthemusa." The dreadlocked British punk made sure to lay it on just a touch thick with his accent, not to the point of parody but erasing any of the American notes he'd picked up from his time living in the States. Every little thing helped.

Jade had spotted him almost immediately after he stepped through the glass doors of the corporation's office, but waited until he address her to turn her attention fully toward him. She took the offered hand eagerly, a pleasant smile spreading across red painted lips.
"Ah, it's a pleasure," she chirped. "We've been eagerly awaiting your arrival," Jade informed him, pressing the clipboard against her chest. They'd had a few other appointments over the course of the day with another musical talent or two but that didn't take away any of the woman's enthusiasm or energy.
As a popular YouTuber, she was used to having to present the face her viewers had become used to. It was often authentic with extra effort only put in during her most strenuous time.
Right now? Everything was genuine. "We want to go over some documents before the formal audition, but can I get anything for you before I take you to meet Mr. Renegade? Water, coffee...?"

Rob shook his head lightly. "No thank you, I'm fine." In truth, he'd had a beer before he left the house, just to settle any residual jangly nerves. Auditions usually worked the other way -- typically it was him doing the auditioning and some other poor bloke sweating over getting the gig. This reversal of roles was not unwelcome, if it helped him get his music out there locally, but it was unusual for him, and a tad uncomfortable. Rob liked to be firmly in control of a situation, any situation. Not being in control of this one didn't make him happy at all, although he hid it well, a charming, genuine smile on his face and a relaxed demeanor. Oh well, he was still in control of himself, he decided. He held his fate in his own hands. All he had to do was blow Jade and Mr. Renegade away with his music and his talent. The gig was his to win or lose. And he was determined to win. "I believe I have all the documents you need right here." He held up the folder he carried. "Proposed set list, audition set list, legal forms, disclosure statements, contract… all the necessary evils," he grinned. "All signed, sealed and delivered."

"Well, if you change your mind don't hesitate to let me know," Jade replied cheerily. The woman understood nerves and how something like this - a large scale festival audition - could be nervewrecking, so she was mildly impressed at the composure of the man before her. He'd clearly done some of his homework, considering that he'd recognized her almost immediately.
She liked that, even if it was her own ego that preened a little whenever she was recognized.
Levi and Mr. Renegade wanted her to be the "face" of the branch, the company, and this helped.
"Perfect," she said, hands clasping together before she extended them to take the folder from Rob. "We'll look these over as you audition. Now, if you'd follow me. We've got some equipment set up for you. I'm not sure if you brought any accompanying music or if you're going more...acapella style today?"
Jade led him away from the front desk and towards the elevators more towards the center of the building. Upon reaching them, she pressed the triangle pointing up.
