Nasir was finally making good on what he should have done at least a couple weeks ago. It had taken some time for him to start to feel comfortable again, to lessen his worries about safety and security. By the time his own injuries had healed to a fresh pink scarring, he was there.

Which obviously meant that he was going by Equinox, a basket on his arm and smelling like he had just come from a bakery.

He pushed open the door, pausing right on the inside to adjust his glasses as they had fallen down his nose. Nasir hoped that Eve was in, if only because he had not thoughtfully called in advance to see if she was.

Nasir visibly perked up when Eve greeted him, some of his uneasiness immediately disappearing and the young man relaxing.

"Yeah, ah ... Olive oil apparently does wonders to help get makeup." A finger scratched at his jaw, not quite as scruffy as he had been but working back towards it. "Had to shave too but it was worth it." Everyone had gotten out and Eve and Lily were kept safe (along with others but those two had been the most important).

"Hi," he said finally, realizing he was kind of rambling, and gave Eve a happy smile. "I just ... was wanting to come by and talk a little." Then remembering the basket on his arm. "Oh and bring you some of these muffins I baked." A pause. "... there's also a small cake in there too."

Always going overboard with the baking, Nasir, always. A hand was raised to fiddle with one of the barrettes in his hair, unclipping a lock of wavy hair and then clipping it back into place so that it was not in his eyes.

It turned out to be an assortment of muffins. Blueberry, banana nut, honey, lemon crumb, nutella swirl, chocolate ... Nasir really had gone overboard because he was not quite sure what she would have liked to try (and they would be left with her regardless).

The small cake was a carrot cake with rich, delicious icing.

"Cook too," he said with a grin. "If I know what you like then I can make you something specific." His head ducked a moment, scratching at the back of it before he was looking back up at her with a shy smile. "I really just enjoy cooking for others, especially if they enjoy what I made."

"Just don't touch the lemon ones," Eve grinned at her de-facto daughter, "those are going to go to my wife." Leila was going to be thrilled and frustrated, as always -- they'd playfully fought about how much they enabled each other to eat too many sweets for years, though admittedly Eve was usually the one on the guilty end. "Other than that, of course you can help yourself, darling. But I think you should take some pictures, and..."

She backed away from the counter and rolled over to one of her shelves neatly stocked with airtight canisters. "...these treats are putting me in the mood for something floral. How about some hibiscus? I could even put some on ice."

"You two are spoiling me, ugh," Autumn mock-teased, grinning from ear to ear at the two of them. She watched as Eve headed off to make the tea, and god bless she had fantastic ******** taste, then turned back to Nasir.

"No worries there! I'm not a super lemon-y person, anyway. Florals and stuff, though? That is my s**t," she replied, with a rather serious nod. Overtly sweet and tart- especially sweetarts, heh- had never really been her scene. But a good lavender cake? s**t, Autumn could put the entire thing away herself. She pulled up another chair to the table, and sat down.

"I'd love to try some, yeah! Unless you need me to do something? I mean, since I am still technically on the clock!" She called to Eve, leaning back in the chair to make sure pseudo-mom heard her offer.
