Ninati hadn't slept all night. She was too excited for this moment. Her whole cub life had lead to this, where she would wander from the Haven to the Roguelands. She wasn't going to visit mommy. No, Daddy was taking her down to meet some mortals, to give her knowledge she'd need later in life.

Even though Ninati was a cub, she was a god. She was larger than most cubs. The pair of gods didn't bother putting themselves in their mortal forms, which meant Ninati was free to rub her wings together and flap them rather impatiently.

"Daddy, when are we going to see something? Someone?"


The large male sighed at the question. He had been waiting for it. Ekundayo knew Ninati hadn't slept despite his best efforts. So that's why they had headed down at first light. The little cub wouldn't have left him alone otherwise. She would have tugged on his wings, his ears, nipped at his tail, headbutted him... just whatever she could do to jostle him out of sleep. The brown male stretched his wings out above him before folding them carefully against his side.

"Well," he started, brows knitting. "Sometimes it takes a long time to find someone out here." Too bad he told her they'd find someone in no time right before they left.

The cub's ears picked up when she heard a female's voice close by. She whipped around and spun in a circle before pouncing off in the direction it came. "Hellllllooooo?" She called out, practically frolicking in the grass. She looked like a little deer this way. Nina's wings fluttered as she did, giggles escaping her throat.

Finally! She could meet someone! "Hello? Hi! I'm Ninati!"

Then she found the dark lioness with the star pelt and gasped. "You're so pretty!"

The larger god followed his daughter in despair. There was no wrangling her in! She was a hyper active little cub who really needed to, "Stick close, Ninati!" He had called out after her and just put a paw on her tail when she finally stopped. He was huffy and almost panting by the time Ninati found the female voice's owner.

"Sorry, sorry," he said, a little flustered. He grabbed hold of his daughter by the scruff of her neck and dragged her back to him, putting her firmly between his front two legs. Now she couldn't escape. "I'm sorry about her. She's a pawful..."

He picked up on her blindness before his daughter did. "My name is Ekundayo... I.. am a god. Contradiction, is uhm.. my domain. My daughter, Ninati... Chimerism." He moved to fuss with her bow. "Ninati, be less spastic? I don't think this female can see. So don't be mean." He let his daughter go of the 'cage' he put her in of her legs around her hips. The brown male huffed and sat down before flapping his wings a few times and then curled them against his back.

Ninati darted off to the female again, put her paw on the other's to compare sizes. "My feet... are really big." Ninati pouted and then looked up at her again. "So you can't see at all? Not even blobs of colors? .....Have you always been blind...?"

"Ninati, just... slow down with the questions, hm? If she gets to be a problem, miss... Just.. Give her a gentle cuff on the ear." He looked down at the godling and licked at her head and back, between her wings. That usually calmed her down a bit. Ekundayo settled on his stomach now, getting ready for Ninati to ask a billion questions.

"Oh... How do you see if you can't see with your eyes? Did a god bless you with something special?" She figured two questions would be good enough. Ninati circled the other now, taking in her starry pelt and sighed. So pretty! Why couldn't she have glowing spots? She looked at her own legs, the mismatched fur and then back up at the female. "...You never did tell us your name, did you?"

Ninati's eyes widened as the lioness described how she was able to 'see'. "Woah," she murmured, laughing. She bounced on her paws a bit and circled her. Lani was a pretty lioness, but now she was an interesting, pretty lioness. Her wings ruffled and she giggled again as she jumped over to her dad and tugged on his mane.

"You're so cool, Lani! Right, Pa?"

Ekun just sighed and dropped his head, shaking it slowly. "It's very.. cool," he said, a little awkwardly. Children were a new experience for him and he wasn't sure he was doing this whole parenting thing right.

"Unfortunately, we're on our way to see her mother and sister." He put a hand on Nina's head and tried to get her to sit still. "My mate doesn't like when we're late..."
