 She had separated from her father and mother when she had become an adolescent and had just continued roaming around. One of these times she hoped to run back into her mother and father and siblings too. It felt lonely now though without the sounds of her family. It had been a long arduous journey for her and she had spent enough time alone that she wanted to come back and maybe find another soul to speak to. Honing her senses so that she could see the way her mother did. Her disability had made her feel weak but now she excepted it. Although she'd never see like another, see colors or beauty she could see someone's soul by the way they moved the way they talked.
Coming to a slow she came towards what she knew was a tree and laid herself down needing a moment to catch her breath from the long walk. She had walked all night and if she could see, she would have seen the beautiful sunrise that was going on now. It was quite alright though. It would soon be getting hot but right now it was just at a perfect cool temperature.

 Sauda pattered about enjoying the cool morning and the beautiful sunrise that came with it. She was an early riser and today had been no different for her when she got up, though she had gotten up before the sun came out. She liked to enjoy these parts of the day, nothing bad seemed to go on at sunrise and sunset. All seemed peaceful.
But that didn’t mean she was content. No, she was quite bored. She had only run into a lone lion a bit earlier and hadn’t really met up with anyone else, at least no one who could stand having a hyena around for a bit. Most of them just chased her off, even if she just wanted some company. She couldn’t even find any other hyenas to hang out with.
So right now she was just jogging along a bit, enjoying the air and trying to decide where to go next. But then she spotted something under a tree. Sauda was hesitant to approach at first, going somewhat slowly towards whatever it was, but upon approaching saw that not only was it a lioness, but that she was awake too! Perhaps Sauda had found someone to talk to today?
She quickly trotted over to the lioness, slowly down as she approached, as she wasn’t sure if she would be attacked or not. Still, a smile was on her face as she addressed the lioness. “Isn’t it a great morning?” Depending on the lionesses’ answer, she would know whether she was being a bother or not.

The blind female had been so focused on the calm that she visibly jumped a little when the other spoke. Startled she turned her head in the direction of the sound and gave a few long blinks. Hyena? Interesting. Feeling like she was being rude the golden female stood up and dipped her head to the other before sitting down again.
"It is a great morning." She answered back to the other. Oh how she wanted to know what the other may look like. By the sound of the other she guessed female but there was a possibility she was wrong on that, however smell she could tell not male. "Out for a stroll?" The female asked.
Did this hyena like to take walks like her? Although she loved both the sunrise and the sunset, night time was her favorite part of the day.

Sauda felt bad for startling the female lioness. She didn’t know that she had been surprised the other. Perhaps the lioness had just been lost in thought. She smiled at the lioness anyway and nodded. “Yes, I love this time of the day and couldn’t help but want to get up and move about to enjoy it. Well this time and sunset. It’s always interesting how everything seems to change once the sun goes up or down.”
She walked closer to the other, figuring that now she probably wouldn’t be attacked considering the lioness did not seem angered or showing signs of getting up. “I’m Saudasubira, but you can just call me Sauda. May I ask what your name is?”

The female gave a nod in agreement to the time of day. She enjoyed them a lot but the day time wasn't that bad either. If only she could see how everyone else saw the world she'd make a comment on color variations but alas she did not. Though the name was a mouthful and she was happy for the shortened version.
"Sauda, I am Eryxa." This time she turned her head towards the other, her milky white eyes looking in the hyena's general direction but not quite at the other. "I agree though the warmth of the sun makes me want to get up and move, although sometimes to get up and move into the shade." She said with a chuckle.

When the lioness turned her head Sauda could tell there was something wrong with her eyes. However, she wasn’t focused on that. Just because someone couldn’t see that well didn’t mean that they couldn’t have a conversation! And there was just no point in focusing on it anyway. What good would it do?
Sauda laughed a bit in return, though not in the high-pitched ways that hyenas were known for. “Yeah sometimes it just gets way too hot to stay out in the sun for long, especially if there isn’t any water nearby. But that sort of makes it fun traveling at night, as long as there is some sort of moon out.” She liked nighttime too. She didn’t really have any set sleeping schedule, considering she needed to keep an eye out in case of any possible predators that would take advantage of a lone hyena out here.

After hearing the others laugh she now knew for sure that the other was a hyena. Although the laugh wasn't as high as normal she could hear the distinction that it carried. Well that was a nice change of pace from her normally solitude travels. Good to have someone else to share a day with, even if they weren't the same species as her.
"I quite agree." The female responded. "So what brings you out here? You taking in sights? Looking for a hunting partner? Just needing to get out?" Flinging a few questions in the dark females direction. "I don't hear anyone else, a bit nerve racking to be traveling alone." Now a lone lioness wasn't all to strange a hyena on the other hand did seem weird. Maybe she was setting out to find others like herself or going to meet with others like herself. The female didn't know.

Sauda smiled at the lioness, slightly sad that it wouldn’t be seen. “Yes, it’s quite nice out here and I am looking for some others. So far I haven’t really found anyone to stay with or any real friends but that could change any day now! I just have to find some others who like me for being… well, me!” She laughed a bit. She wasn’t one to be brought down just because she was a bit lonely. She did have some positive interactions with strangers at least.
“So currently I’ve mostly spent my time surviving and enjoying the atmosphere out here, and exploring. Exploring is fun when I go somewhere new, though it can be kind of hard on an empty stomach and you don’t know how much food is going to be in those new places so I haven’t been traveling a lot lately. Did you just come into the area yourself?” She couldn’t help but ask, she had never seen the lioness before, even just passing by.

At least the other sounded happy and she got happy vibes from the female. Positivity was just as contagious as negativity and better to be positive than the latter. "I know what you mean about searching for others. I have no found myself a home yet either and I hope to not stay on my own forever. I left my family to look for other places but still haven't found one that fits for me."
She agreed about finding others that liked her for being her. Maybe a place where she could be a healer, caring for others she could do or a priestess like her mother. Either way, she hoped to find something. A blind lioness alone would attract unwanted attention and even though she could fend for herself she couldn't take on multiple attackers.
The female nodded at the question to her, "I just recently wandered here. Hoped to find something but I seem to still be coming up short. Food gets scarce sometimes and not being able to see my food... well makes it even more of a challenge. But I rise to it and usually don't go hungry."

Sauda hummed a bit in agreement. “Yeah not sure if I should still join a pack, just because you see so many different characters if you’re on your own, or at least out here in the rogue lands.” She padded next to the lioness and sat down, just trying to enjoy the morning.
It was good to talk to another, even if they weren’t the same species. And that’s all she had run into so far. She wouldn’t admit that she had never been able to talk to another hyena, as of yet, it was a bit embarrassing. Sometimes she felt like she was the only hyena out here.
“Well, I’ve managed to find plenty of food here myself. It might be harder to get if you can’t see, but there are plenty of opportunities!” She laughed a bit, thinking of the times where she would sometimes chase the gazelle for fun. “If you need some help, I’m always here! Though I’m not sure if I can be of much use to a lioness, I tend to be a scavenger after all.”

"You can meet all sorts of folks out here. But there is always the off chance that you meet someone who doesn't have your best interest in their mind or want to take advantage of you." She hadn't had that experience yet and she was glad for that. Hopefully she never would either.
The hyena hit it right on the nose. It was difficult but she did sometimes catch her prey. There were also times where she scavenged her food. "I can sometimes get a kill here and there. But I do scavenge sometimes too if I have to. I'm still pretty full from my last meal so I'm good for now." Grinning from ear to ear, "Thank you though for your consideration to help a blind girl like myself."
She hoped at least the hyena would find someone or a pack for herself. "Well Sauda, I hope that you find something. Always nice to roam with others of your kind. I have no qualms of who my travel companions may be though. As long as they are all friendly."
She'd soon need to move out though, the heat was starting to creep in. Maybe find a den of some kind to lay in away from the sweltering heat for a few hours before moving on to another area. Always on the move.SSBrosB I think we can finish this up. Sorry also for slow response.

Sauda grinned, glad that she could make the lioness feel a bit better, even if there was much she could do to help her. “Well, nothing wrong with scavenging! Something is going to eat it anyway so why not us?” Sauda figured it helped somewhat to eat what others had left behind. It was just a bit of recycling!
“Thanks! I hope you find some place too. I may complain but it might be better if we both joined somewhere where we’re more likely to get or find some food. Nothing wrong with teaming up with others after all. And I agree with you on that friendly part. I definitely don’t want to meet or stay in a group that’s mean. I wouldn’t be happy there.” They probably wouldn’t let her join in the first place and luckily she hadn’t met anyone who really wanted to hurt her.
She looked back at the rising sun and then to the lioness again. “Looks like the sun is really coming out now! I better get a move on! Though if you need any help looking for a place don’t hesitate to call out for me!” She said, prancing a bit away from the lion, ready to look around the area again. “Nice meeting you Eryxa!” She called out.
