Alright, so you're here for one of two reasons, either you are new to Lake Kindred and want to see what this whole "Sycamorte/Phantom Sycamorte" deal is about, or you just wanna see where any of the kin you currently own place in their abilities. Don't worry, I've got you covered! Below you're going to find many things and I'm going to try to simplify them as much as possible. This guide will be text heavy! Expect text walls that cover everything I can possibly think of!
Useful Notes and Tips for Using This Guide!
❀Looking for a certain Kin? Click the "Show Spoiler" button and use "ctrl+f" and type the Kin's name in to search for it. ❀Kin with a ✦ beside the name in their description have a chance to be OHKO'd in their respective area! ❀Couldn't find the Kin you were looking for? Don't worry, if it is a new release, I'm probably working on it myself or working with someone to get it. ❀When it comes to the damage ranges listed with the Kin's strongest move, please remember that I know these numbers are not at their highest and lowest points. About 90% of that information was obtained by myself, Sinfulcraft, His Kuren testing the kin's moves a certain number of times. While some of them were tested by us, not all of them were, and I had to solely rely on word of mouth for those numbers. I'd really appreciate if you didn't nitpick about these if possible.
Bug/Glitches
❀If your Kin has poisoned a Sycamorte and you use a healing item (Small Heal, Mega Heal, Antidote, Refresh, Magic Restore), Sycamorte will seem to have gained back roughly about 5% of it's total HP. This is purely a graphical glitch in the HP bar the Sycamorte has not actually gained anything back.
❀There seems to be a conflict between your Kin being Poisoned and an enemy Kin being Confused. The enemy will attack and then said attack will miss; however in the case of Sycamorte, it will not take any damage or gain back any health. After this, when the poison damage goes off on your kin, it will take the full force of an attack instead of whatever the Kin's usual Poison damage is.

I've had a few times before where I've been asked how I determine if a Kin goes into Stage 4 or Stage 5. Hopefully I can give you a little insight to this process to help you better understand my placements.
❀First off, I only judge a Kin by the level 50 stats. Why is that? Simply because at this point, the Kin is at it's full potential. It has the most HP it is ever going to have, the moves hit as hard as they possibly can, and it has all of the moves it will ever learn. Am I saying a Kin cannot kill before 50? Certainly not! I just prefer to judge the Kin by the strongest it can possibly be. This also leads into another point, if a Kin evolves, I only include the final evolution for judging. This is done for the same reasons of why I only use a level 50 for judging.
❀Another factor in a Kin's placement, is the HP stat. If it has below 500 HP at level 50, it is automatically out of the running for being a Stage 5. Why does the HP matter? The reason for that is that Sycamorte can hit extremely hard in Stage 5, and this guide is meant to give all Kin a chance, but it's also meant to help players efficiently earn their gold.
❀Damage ranges also play a part in a Kin's placement. This is a big part of the consideration for me. Some of the Kin I have in Stage 4 can have more HP than a Kin that shows up in Stage 5, but if you look at the damage ranges of the strongest moves, that is usually where the difference shows. Most Kin I have put into Stage 5 have about 700+ damage results. Again, this guide is meant to help everyone be efficient, not make it frustrating and annoying to earn.
❀See a Kin that isn't in here? Well, there's two things of done to help make life a little easier. If a Kin at level 50 had below 350 health, I did not consider it at all to include in this guide simply because even the lower leveled Stage 4 Sycamortes would be a struggle. The other thing I've done is look at the damage stat. If a Kin's damage stat was below 150 at level 50, this also excluded it from being considered since fights would draw out way too long. If you're curious as to what Kin I've excluded, please check the below list.

❀Lastly, Sycamorte's and Phantom Sycamorte's HP and damage ranges are another part of my inner debates. I've even compiled a chart for everyone to see, and hopefully help you judge what your kin can handle as you level it a well! It's never going to be 100% accurate, but these are numbers I've obtained during my own personal grinding.
❀I seriously wanna point out though, that my word is by far not law. I've had people tell me something I have placed in Stage 4 has worked fairly well for them in Stage 5. That's great! If it works for you, by all means, go for it! I'm just here to give a general consensus on a Kin's ability. I am not here to judge how you play your game, and neither is anyone else!
❀What does "Sycamorte grinding" or "tree farming" mean?
These both mean the exact same thing, and it's simply defined by constantly seeking out Sycamorte/Phantom Sycamorte to beat them and earn their rewards.
❀What is a "tree killer"?
"Tree killers" are what a lot of people in the Lake Kindred community use to refer to a Kin that can handle going against a Sycamorte.
❀What is a Sycamorte and Phantom Sycamorte?
Sycamorte and Phantom Sycamorte are boss Kin found in Lake Kindred that are commonly beaten by players as a way of making money.
❀Where can I find Sycamorte and Phantom Sycamorte?
Sycamorte starts appearing in Stage 4 of Kindred Wilds and will be between level 10 and level 20. Sycamorte also appears in Stage 5 of Kindred Wilds, along with its new partner in crime, Phantom Sycamorte. In Stage 5, both will be between level 25 and level 35. Let me go ahead and tell you, just because Stage 4 Sycamorte have lower levels, that does not mean that they are easy!
❀What is an appropriate level for a Kin to start going against Sycamorte?
It all depends. Some Kin can start taking on Stage 4 Sycamorte as early as level 30. Other Kin simply cannot do it at all until they are level 50. You'll have to be that judge of that yourself based upon the Kin's stats. All I can do is provide you with the means to be the judge of that.
❀My Kin keeps missing, is there any way to improve the Kin's accuracy?
As far as we know, no. There doesn't seem to be an "accuracy" stat at all and it's all simply down to random chance.
❀Why did my Kin do less damage than what you have listed in the damage ranges of the move?
There's two possibilities of this, either the Sycamorte healed itself, or you actually found a new low that I never personally achieved. Depending on how much lower you got would determine the answer. I highly suggest paying attention when Sycamorte attacks, since it's healing move just looks like a missed attack and the health bar does not update accordingly. If Sycamorte has missed, and you're unsure if it was truly a miss or it healing, just use a Singe, it updates the health bar like it should.
❀I'm out of Mega Potions/Antidotes. Where is the best place to farm for more?
Looking for Mega Potions? Kindred Wilds gives them off fairly easily from killing other kin. Antidotes? I've personally gotten a ton from Zen Gardens, so that area is my go to for them. Zen Gardens also gives off Small Heals a lot, too. Those can be very useful to use on a Kin that has a high HP stat!
❀I'm not seeing many Sycamortes. Have they changed the encounter rates or is it just luck?
It depends on the stage you are in. If you are in Stage 4 of Kindred Wilds you will notice Sycamorte has what may as well be considered a "rare" encounter rate. IF you are in Stage 5 of Kindred Wilds, Sycamorte will show up rather frequently. Regardless of the stage you are in it is still possible to have moments where you go a good little bit without seeing a single Sycamorte and this is simply because it all boils down to luck with your encounters.
❀What are the strongest or best Sycamorte killers?
I honestly don't know. I didn't set up this guide with the intentions of rating them from best to worst. Choosing a Sycamorte killer all comes down to preference. One Kin can work amazing for one person, but terribly for another. I will not be making a list of the "Top 5" or "Best Killers" since this guide was made soley for the purpose of people choosing what they like and what works for them.

This section is for anyone who is just getting into or is interested in using Sycamorte as a source of income. Honestly, I recommend starting out on Stage 4 Sycamorte and slowly moving up the ranks to reach Stage 5. It may take awhile, but it's worth it in the long run, trust me. I will note, if you're looking to make this a normal way to earn gold, Lake Kindred is an investment game in a sense. Want to make money? You've got to spend some first. Again, it's worth it, trust me!
❀What are some good starting Kin?
Any of the Kin you pick when you start the game are not bad choices at all! I got my start using Echo's fully evolved version, Myotistrike. After that we worked our way to saving for some of the well known Stage 5 Sycamorte killers. Other than that, the most I can say is look through my Stage 4 section and do some price comparisons and see what fits in your budget.
❀Leveling up a Kin is taking too long, how can I make this go faster?
Ally 50% and Ally 100% potions are a common way players quickly level their Kin. You can earn these potions from increasing your Skill Level, voting in Runway for 8 days straight, or buying them from the marketplace.
❀If I can't kill Sycamorte yet, how can I earn money to afford a Kin or Ally Potions to start?
In my personal opinion, one of the best ways would be to take your Kin into Zen Gardens and start killing things in there. Sometimes you'll get chance items as a reward that you can sell off to start funding your Sycamorte goals. Plus you can get some experience towards a Kin's next level. Two birds with one stone, right?
❀What should I have before I start?
A Kin that you think is appropriately leveled, a nice stock of Mega Heals, Small Heals, and Antidotes. Stamina potions are not a bad idea either if you want to avoid the wait time of a Kin needing to sleep to regain Stamina.

Level 50 Kin vs. Stage 4 Sycamorte (Levels 10-20)

Myotistrike
Myotistrike's strongest attack is Fire Egg Bomb. Fire Egg Bomb deals 400HP-600HP per attack and has a chance to inflict wither. While using this Kin, you might experience a long battle. Mega Heals will be needed due to the lower HP stat. Magic Restores might be needed as well, it simply depends on how long the fight goes on for.
Stoke's strongest attack is Twice Slice. Twice Slice deals 247HP-312HP per attack and has a chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin, you will experience long fights, but if Stoke can confuse a Sycamorte, it will damage itself. If a Sycamorte hits itself while confused, it has a chance to poison itself. This combination together can make fights go by a little faster. Mega Heals or Small Heals may be needed depending on how the fight goes.
Coral's strongest attack is Twice Cut. Twice Cut deals 253HP-331HP per attack and has a chance to put an enemy to sleep. While using this Kin you will experience a long battle. Mega Heals or Small Heals will be needed occasionally due to the long battles. Magic Restores will also be a must due to Coral's lower MP stat.
Night's strongest attack is Fire Egg Bomb. Fire Egg Bomb deals 400HP-600HP per attack and has a chance to inflict wither. While using this Kin, you might experience a long battle. Mega Heals will be needed occasionally. Magic Restores might be needed as well, it simply depends on how long the fight goes on for.
Furious Stoke is a little bit of a special case. It can inflict different status ailments rather than one set type. Twice Cut deals 300HP-350HP per attack and has a chance to put the enemy to sleep. Egg Bomb deals 230HP-300HP per attack and has a chance to poison the enemy. Paralysis Tide deals 170HP-210HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. Psychosis deals 170HP-210HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. As you can see, there are a lot of options to go with. Your best bet is to mix and match status ailments. Suggested pairings are Paralysis/Poison, Poison/Sleep, and Confusion/Poison as these maximize the damage a Sycamorte can take when together. Despite the lower damage range, battle should be decently paced while using this Kin due to the status pairings you can attempt. Mega Heals or Small Heals may be needed every so often.
Autumn's strongest attack is Rake. Rake deals 218HP-278HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be pretty lengthy due to the low damage output, but if you can poison the enemy, it will go by a bit quicker. Small Heals and Mega Heals may be needed every so often as well as Magic Restores due to the lower MP stat.
Stagony's strongest attack is Twice Slice is it's strongest attack. Twice Slice deals 250HP-350HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. while using this Kin, battles can be decently paced, especially if the combination of Poison/Confusion happens. When it comes to the use of heals, you can either go with the use of healing potions, or you can use Stagony's healing skill, Sap Drop. Sap Drop heals 30% of HP per use.
Phantom's strongest attack is Psychosis. Psychosis deals 232HP-294HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be either slow or decently paced, mainly because it all deals with seeing if you can get the enemy confused and poisoned at the same time. The use of Mega Heals may be needed, but they also might not be if you can time using Sap Drop well enough. Sap Drop heals 30% of HP per use. The use of Magic Restores may also be needed if the battle goes on for too long.
Pumpkin's strongest attack is Spirit Flare. Spirit Flares deals 476HP-844HP per attack and has the chance to inflict wither. While using this Kin battles will go by fairly quickly. When it comes to healing, you can go with the usual use of Small Heals or Mega Heals, or you can use the skill Healing Flame. Healing Flame heals 100% of HP per use.
Bloody's strongest attack is Earthly Grave. Earthly Grave deals 653HP-849HP per attack and has a chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles should go by fairly quick. The use of either Small Heals or Mega Heals ,ay be needed from time to time depending on how the fights go.
Dark's strongest attack is Stone Bomb. Stone Bomb deals 468HP-606HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles should be pretty average. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals will be needed as well as the use of Magic Restores if a battle goes on for too long.
Toxic's strongest attack is Contagion. Contagion deals 629HP-763HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be very well paced especially if you can poison the enemy. The use of Mega Heals may be needed as well as Magic Restores.
Oppososaurus' strongest attack is Viral Chomp. Viral Chomp deals 137HP-237HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will go a little slow, but poisoning the enemy will make the battle go a little faster. Small Heals and Mega Heals will be needed as well as the possibility of needing Magic Restores.
Fossil's strongest attack is Rake. Rake deals 214HP-269HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will go a little slow, but poisoning the enemy will make the battle go a little faster. Small Heals and Mega Heals will be needed as well as the possibility of needing Magic Restores.
Haunted's strongest attack is Earthly Grave. Earthly Grave deals 380HP-500HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles will go a little slow, but paralyzing the enemy will make the battle go a little faster. Small Heals and Mega Heals will be needed as well as the possibility of needing Magic Restores.
Blossoming Ember's strongest attack is Earthly Grave. Earthly Grave deals 490HP-675HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this kin battles should be pretty decently paced. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed. Make sure to watch your health since this Kin has a chance to be defeated by some Sycamortes in one hit.

Ember the Crimson Fox
Crimson Ember's strongest attack is Shadow Bite. Shadow Bite deals 845HP-1,130HP damage per hit and has the chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin battles should go by fairly quick. As for healing, Small Heals or Mega Heals should not be needed due to Crimson's higher HP. Crimson also has the move Dark Heal which restores 100% of HP per use.

Foxst's strongest attack is Stone Bomb. Stone Bomb deals 355HP-503HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles can be moderately paced. Small Heals or Mega Heals will be needed on occasion. Be sure to watch out for any of the Sycamortes that have the chance to defeat this Kin in one hit.
Luminous Kitsune's strongest attack is Blushing Nap. Blushing Nap deals 295HP-390HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. Wile using this Kin battles might go a little slow. Small Heals and Mega Heals may be needed on occasion as well as Magic Restores.
Golden Kitsuko's strongest attack is Gold Smash. Gold Smash deals 770HP-1027HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles will go by fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.

Cabochomp
Cabochomp's strongest attack is Paralyze Psychosis. Paralyze Psychosis deals 255HP-360HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles might go a little slow, but if the enemy can be paralyzed it will help out a little bit. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed as well as Magic Restores.
Brilliant's strongest attack is Strong Peal. Strong Peal deals 457HP-593HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced, but if the enemy gets poisoned they will go by a little quicker. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed from time to time.
Venomous' strongest attack is Poison Rush. Poison Rush deals 460HP-640HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced, but if the enemy gets poisoned they will go by a little quicker. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed from time to time.
Peridot's strongest attack is Blushing Nap. Blushing Nap deals 477HP-571HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced, but if the enemy can be paralyzed they might go a little quicker. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed every so often.
Tanzanite's strongest attack is Wolf's Turmoil. Wolf's Turmoil deals 476HP-630HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced, but if the enemy can be confused they might go a little quicker. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed as well as Magic Restores if a battle goes on for too long.
Celestial's strongest attack is Bloody Bite. Bloody Bite deals 740HP-875HP per attack and has the chance to put the enemy to sleep. While using this Kin battles will be a little quicker. Keep an eye on your health and make sure to watch out for the Sycamortes that can defeat this Kin in one hit. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals will be needed every so often.
Shadow's strongest attack is Spirit Flare. Spirit Flare deals 805HP-909HP per attack and has the chance to inflict wither. While using this Kin battles will be fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals might be needed. Shadow Barkhest also has Healing Flame which heals for 100% of HP per use.
Pumpkin's strongest attack is Twice Slice. Twice Slice deals 700HP-900HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals might be needed. Pumpkin Barkhest also has Dark Heal which heals for 100% of HP per use.
Radioactive's strongest attack is Spirit Flare. Spirit Flare deals 720HP-952HP per attack and has the chance to inflict wither. While using this Kin battles will be fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals might be needed.
Doge's strongest attack is Shadow Bite. Shadow Bite deals 904HP-1393HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
Kintaro's strongest attack is Infection. Infection deals 763HP-941HP per attack and has the chance to poison the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
Lykin's strongest attack is Diamond Scratch. Diamond Scratch deals 783HP-1050HP per attack and has the chance to put the enemy to sleep. While using this Kin battles will be fairly quick. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
Machia's strongest attack is Twice Slice. Twice Slice deals 300HP-450HP per attack and has the chance to confuse the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be kind of slow but confusing the enemy can help a little. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion as well as the use of Magic Restores if a battle goes on for too long.

Skulverine's strongest attack is Earthly Grave. Earthly Grave deals 582HP-776HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
Candy's strongest attack is Twice Cut. Twice Cut deals 654HP-813HP per attack and has the chance to put the enemy to sleep. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals will be needed.
Bunnykit's strongest attack is Diamond Scratch. Diamond Scratch deals 329HP-421HP per attack and has the chance to put the enemy to sleep. While using this Kin battles will be a little slow but putting the enemy to sleep can help some. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion as well as Magic Restores.
Sweet's strongest attack is Diamond Scratch. Diamond Scratch deals 590HP-817HP per attack and has the chance to put the enemy to sleep. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
Vibrant's strongest attack is Bubble Burst. Bubble Burst deals 653HP-889HP per attack and has the chance to put the enemy to sleep. While using this Kin battles will be decently paced. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
Candied's strongest attack is Stone Bomb. Stone Bomb deals 462HP-614HP per attack and has the chance to paralyze the enemy. While using this Kin battles will be a little slow but paralyzing the enemy will help some. The use of Small Heals or Mega Heals may be needed on occasion.
