It had been a while and he had not heard from Sabine in some time. After the battle, he grew more and more concerned about her the more and more he saw how poorly Delilah had been handling things. During the day, he set out to search a few laundry mats and collects some change to use a vending machine and collects the candies and chips into a paper bag. Holding that between his teeth, he walked along the streets towards her house. Delilah had been nice enough to give him her address.
Jumping up on a window sill, he set the bag down and then waited, giving out a few meows in hopes she would hear her.

Mercy was so glad it was summer. It meant that she could be back in her actual room and not at her Crystal dorm... A Dorm she knew she would probably be moving from now that her roommate had graduated. All the same, the meowing at the window was unexpected, and she sat up in her bed, and moved to check the door. Good, it sounded like her mother hadn't come home with Nathaniel yet. Closing her door to give her a bit more privacy, she moved over to the window where the meows were coming from and opened the blinds. Spying Arthur through the window she smiled, and quickly opened up the glass. "Come in, come in... It is so good to see you!" Mercy said softly, motioning for the cat to slip into her room, before closing the window behind him and closing the blind to keep the cool air inside the house. "I wasn't expecting a visit, though I am glad to see you are doing okay!"

Grabbing the paper bag once again, he jumped inside and moved over to her bed before dropping the bag beside him. "I haven't seen you since the battle. I thought it would be nice to visit. I haven't been to your place before anyways." He looked around the room and smelled around as he walked around the bed from one corner to the other before stopping and racing back to the bag.
"I brought you some snacks. I didn't know what you liked, so I kinda got a few things." Using his teeth, he pulled the bag open and bite one corner of the bag and walked backwards to dump out the contents. It was a mix of cookies, chips, gum, and candy.
"How are you holding up?"

Mercy just wanted to scoop Arthur up and hug him, so she did. Scooping him into her lap, she smiled and began to pet the top of his head with her open hand, shaking it slowly. "Oh Arthur, you didn't need to bring snacks! I mean thank you, I will definitely have to have some of them, but this is my house, so I'm the host... It's my job to provide for you, the guest..." Oh this was so backward! Shaking her head she gave the cat a smile. Anyone who knew Mercy long enough, would have been able to make sense of her room. Three of the walls were covered, pretty much floor to ceiling, with shelves. These shelves did not hold books, but instead, every possible kind of Unicorn collectable imaginable. Some were plush, others were pewter, there were some porcelain figures as well as spun glass. In one way or another, every single item in her collection screamed Unicorn. At his question though she sighed. "I'm... doing a little better..." She said finally. "The nightmares have... mostly... stopped... And I'm not having as many... well... moments of panic..." She didn't want to call them panic attacks... Mainly because she didn't want to admit she had a problem.

Curled in her lap, he kneaded her lap as he purred but had his ears slowly go back when a shelf of unicorns looked as if they were staring at him. In fact, they were a multitude of eyes all about the room that seemed to be looking at the bed. It was unsettling to say the least.
"Are you taking a break for now and getting plenty of rest in the meantime?" He asked, before looking back at a pink unicorn that seemed like it was focused the most on him.
"Do you like....unicorns?"

Mercy nodded. "After the battle I had... a few fights that went poorly... But Delilah gave me a hand with that, she gave me the number of her cousin, I can't work with him again for a few more weeks, but he taught me a few basics, so I have been taking a small break in the meantime." She giggled a bit at his next question and shook her head. "I don't like Unicorns, I love them." She said with a grin. "They're my absolute favorite animal." She added with a nod. "They're the best."

"She is good for helping. I wish she would get some help herself. She hasn't been sleeping well either. I'm glad her cousin can help you get better, but you shouldn't push yourself to fight so soon. If anything, you should bring someone with you. I'd hate to think you out there alone if something happened."
He tilted his head at the unicorns. "....and....what is great about unicorns?" He didn't get it.

Mercy gave a small sigh. "I know Arthur, I know... But I can't... let fear stop me from doing what I'm supposed to do, right?" She said, her fingers working behind his ears slowly as she let out a small huff of air. "I mean I know I should probably bring a patrol buddy but.. sometimes you gotta just put yourself out there..." At his question she shook her head. "They're powerful, and magical..." She said. "They're also predisposed to girls so all the more benefit to me."

Closing his eyes, he chuckled at her. "You're powerful and magical."
"I'm magical too." He said, and tended to lean in favor of ladies most times. "Seems to me your better than any horse."

Mercy giggled and made a face, before reaching down to scratch Arthur's chin with her fingers. "Oh Arthur, it's a girl thing, I don't expect you to understand." She said with a soft huff. "When you're a lady you just... have to love Unicorns, it's an unwritten rule." Well one of her unwritten ones anyway. "But, by and large, unicorns aren't real... Unless what Sir Caedus told me was true and such beings exist on other planets..." She hoped he was okay. She hadn't sought him out since their return from the moon, more out of fear of finding something horrible had happened. In any case. "But you're even more amazing because you came to check up on me, and I really appreciate that."

"Could be. Never know. Maybe there is a unicorn planet." He said as he turned over on his side, closing his eyes to let Sabine continue to scratch away. It was more like he came for a spa visit than his original intentions of making her feel better.
"What do you think about Caedus? A lot of people are thinking different things." He said, but wasn't sure bringing it up even mattered.
Then again, maybe they should.
"I don't ever mind checking up on you. I like spending time with you, Mercy, and mean a great deal to me."

"If there is, I'd give my eye-teeth to see it." Mercy said with a small giggle. Her fingers continued their work on Arthur's chin, making sure to scratch in the places he seemed to enjoy most. He was a good kitty and deserved the attention after all. His next question caused her to grow a bit quiet for awhile, before finally she let out a low sigh. "I trust that... Caedus was telling the truth. I don't think he intended for us to come to harm when he opened the door for us to attack. We all knew the risks, we all knew we might be walking willingly into hell and we did it anyway. I don't hold any ill will against him... Granted I am biased, and I will admit to that bias. I consider him a friend and I hope he is doing well. I haven't seen him since the night of the attack." She sighed a bit and shook her head. "To be honest I wouldn't even know where to look. I don't know if he managed to make it home or not. I hope he did though." Mercy smiled down at Arthur and pulled him up into her arms for a hug. "Oh, Arthur, you silly kitty you mean a lot to me too."

In response to the hug, he let out the loudest purr he could muster for the duration of however long she held him. "You spoil me." He said, rubbing his cheek against her.
"I don't know him very well, but I think maybe we should talk to him. Maybe talk to him ourselves. I don't know what to make of him. The lady on the moon doesn't seem to think much of him. He does have some power. I wanted to show him the crystal I got from the Negaverse castle. Just...to see it. Since he gave us a crystal before to charge up, I was wondering if it was the same."
"I mean, only if you think it's ok. I....kind of don't want to go alone."

Mercy held the hug for a long time before slowly loosening her grip and letting Arthur come to rest lightly in her lap again, her hands moving to stroke along the sides of his head, her thumbs working slow circles behind his ears as she thought about it for a moment. "I wouldn't mind trying to help you track him down if you wanted to talk to him... I would love to see him again." She said with a small smile down at the guardian cat. "If you remind me, the next time I'm powered up, I'll show you a gift he gave me, I was very surprised he would part with such a thing..." She said with a small sigh. "It's very, very pretty."

His eyes closed a moment, before he dismissed his glasses entirely, leaving him without. It was hard to keep himself from just rolling over and letting the sea of pets take him away.
Focus.
Eyes opening, his tail bristled as he woke himself back up. "I've very interested to see this secret gift. It sounds precious and important."
He wondered what it was and what a person like Caedus would give to her.
"I'm....actually hoping he could give me some advice. He seems to come from another planet too. I was wondering if he heard of any Mauvians too or.....could tell me how to be a better one." He said, nervously kneaded Mercy's lap as he looked down.
"...so I could help more."
Maybe he could be the Wizard of Oz and give him a bit of courage from his magic sleeves.
