Al Ta'itha is a desert and city bathed in magic. Life here is easy, or so it seemed so on the surface. The rulers of this land are god-kins. There is an underground city that many don't even know. This desert is near impossible to find, it is stumbled upon.
This RP is between Mambo La Siren and ShadowStream-chan.

OOC||Hope this is alright xD With the newest addition to the work team, the sand skaters (guards), returned to the palace, quite quickly. As they were given permission to use the portals to transport goods... and people. The person they picked up was strangely covered, and they didn't ask. Once through the portal, they kept this new person guarded, not that the person needed it. One guard made sure that the delivery could not see where they were going until the portal had closed, and even then the guard hissed "Keep your head down." The speech was in a language that was foreign to all outsiders, a language exclusive to the area alone. Along with a few other skaters, the group made it through the city and up to the palace. The air was cooler in the palace than in the city, and sandstone roads turned to marble. one of the skaters pulled off Sohrab's blindfold. Around Sohrab was all of the goods that had been traded along the route the other guards took, as well as two other people and a few bandits that were captured on the way. All of this was overseen by a young barefooted man sitting lazily in a golden throne. Well, he was there, her wasn't particularly watching. When his attention was caught by someone calling for him, he turned his head towards all the goods, and to Sohrab, that stood out like a sore thumb, as most everyone here rather lax in their clothing, even the guy on the throne. The man, suppository the 'ruler' here got off his lazy bum and walked towards the goods. It took a few minutes of shouting and organization before everything was put into place, including the bandits, that were taken away. Most of what remained was spice, and the three people, one including Sohrab. The ruler, with eyes of blue and purple, started to speak in that foreign tongue to the outsiders. He seemed happy and welcoming though. He clapped his hands together and sparks flew, literally, his hands were sparking, and he ever so carefully poked Sohrab and the other two before stepping back. "Now, if i have done that correctly... You should be able to understand me..." He didn't wait to figure out if it was the case or not, but he stood straight and smiled, wiping his hands on his long jeweled skirt, as that is all he had. "I am Dingi. First son of Aisha and Ehsan, the king and queen here. I want to welcome you to Al Ta'itha. I am hoping for many good things from you all." He said with a bright, happy smile.

What is up with this blindfold?! THIS BETTER NOT BE A SCAM! The young boy thought, well...he had to be the 'young girl' because of his disguise. Yeah, he was disguised as a Muslim woman because it was the only way he would be able to hide, and had a good excuse for as Muslim woman do not present them to any man in the household. And since his face was slightly Asian, it made his face almost feminine like and that was something he was thankful for. He had no idea what other people were saying as it was of a language he could not understand, even though he had studied in the prison he was kept in for awhile. He was able to get the thing out of his eyes to see that he was in some....foreign...place...."Where in the...?" He was flabbergasted as this did not look like the area he lived in. He was confused on what kind of joke was this.
Before this had all happened, he found a letter that offered to help him get out of prison early and pay the bond, but he would need to take a job. Not even thinking about, he accepted it and was out before his fourth year. However, the job was that he needed to work for someone...disguised as a woman...as that was what the 'family' was looking for. He felt unnerved but he knew he had no choice, and the only thing he could do was become a Muslim woman named 'Abira'. He hated the stares he got as he walked down the street to where his job began, he was just lucky no one cursed at him and told him to go back to where 'she' came from. I would've punched someone for the ignorance
He did suddenly see someone coming in, only wearing pants and not a shirt. Yeah...this is some sort of Arabic household...or mob....yeah....mob is closer He thought again as he could see the person's eyes were heterochromia and that amazed Sohrab in a way. Then he felt the man touch him after the hands sparked which made the boy wonder what kind of scientific thing he had done. "Now, if i have done that correctly... You should be able to understand me..."
"Excuse me?" Sohrab asked as the man kept on going. "I am Dingi. First son of Aisha and Ehsan, the king and queen here. I want to welcome you to Al Ta'itha. I am hoping for many good things from you all." Sohrab had to blink and think about it. "Dingi....King and Queen....Al Ta'itha...." He then had his hand turn into a fist and land softly on the open palm of his hand. "I have been dupped." He concluded as he then shook his head. "Let me know where we actually are, the whole 'blindfolding' thing is causing me suspicious...is this some sort of human trafficking scheme?!" He had to ask because he was very skeptical, and unlikely to believe he was in some sort of land where the gods had lived.

OOC||Hope this is alright xD Dingi tilted his head, hearing the woman speak to him. "Pardon?" He asked. Dingi tilted his head to an odd angel before he stood straight and smiled again. "Yes, the blindfold is just precautionary. The skaters's way of traveling is damaging to the human's eyesight. As well as, if you ever get out of the castle, you'd be hopelessly loss and be returned." Dingi seemed to be very happy despite what he was saying. The other two wern't talking so he dismissed then, keeping Sohrab there with him. "It is. Very much so. But we offer so much to the people who are brought here. A home, a place to live and raise a family, riches, good food, love, a quite a bit of freedom." The young prince wrapped his arm around what he thinks is a Muslim woman. He didn't know their religion, customs, or anything as the such, so the bold move didn't phase him. He started to walk with the woman. "What is your name, lady?" He asked kindly. He started to bring the woman to a small corrode off the main room. "If you don't like being with the common maids, that is alright. The family can always use more warm bodies." He stoped, pulling at the garb the woman was wearing and he tried to pull it open a bit. "Is this just somethig you do? Do you want to keep it?" Letting it go he sighed a little. "Do I need to have more of these made for you?" He asked, walking again. Dingi jingled as he walked too, thanks to the jewels on his puffy skirt/pants. ALl the while he was winding the woman through the halls It was a giant maze, but they would come to a large room that was most obviously the harem. Or what you'd think to be one. That or a room just filled with half naked women and 'maids' running around, generally having fun and relaxing. "This shall be your home. Someplace, there should be a room for you... we dont make the girls share rooms. I know how fickle you things can be."

"Pardon?"
You heard me Sohrab raised an eyebrow at him as he could see that the guards were dismissed. Sohrab could only see Dingi have a smile on his face. "Yes, the blindfold is just precautionary. The skaters's way of traveling is damaging to the human's eyesight. As well as, if you ever get out of the castle, you'd be hopelessly lost and be returned." "What?" Sohrab was literally confused on what he talked about. "Very much so. But we offer so much to the people who are brought here. A home, a place to live and raise a family, riches, good food, love, a quite a bit of freedom." Sohrab could not even fathom what Dingi was trying to say as he felt arms around him. Sohrab now tried to remember the social interactions in Muslim religion and culture. But it definitely was not something someone would just do. "Hey....let's not do that." He had the guy get the arms off him. "What is your name, lady?"
"Abira.....Abira Hedgewood." He lied, as his real name was Sohrab. His mother's name was Abira though. As they walked down, Dingi continued to talk. "If you don't like being with the common maids, that is alright. The family can always use more warm bodies." "Excuse me?" Sohrab jabbed, now daring him to repeat what he was saying as he saw Dingi turned around and pulled the head scarf that Sohrab was wearing. Sohrab backed off immediately. "Is this just something you do? Do you want to keep it? Do I need to have more of these made for you?"
"Let's understand something. One, do not touch the hijab. Second, this is what we do. We believe in modesty so we hide our bodies including out hair to prevent any sexual attacks. It's in the Quran." Sohrab had no idea if it was even true or not, but since Dingi didn't know....it would be good to stretch it. "We wear this only if we are out in public until I consider myself safe in the house...then yeah the thing will be removed. So for now, this stays on! Otherwise, we don't believe in well...'warming' random people's bodies!" He did take note of the jewels that Dingi was wearing, twirling with the puffy skirt....pants.... What are they?
What he saw in the room after going through the maze of the hallways horrified him. He saw which obviously looked like a harem from the books he had read. But then he had to remember something....Wait...harems are where children were raised too...it's not really sexual....it's just stupid western interpretation. He stared at it in pure confusion as Dingi talked. "This shall be your home. Someplace, there should be a room for you... we don't make the girls share rooms. I know how fickle you things can be."
"Uhhhh...well...yeah...we can be fickle because this was not in the Job Description!" He was just in shock with the naked ladies and such, causing him to blush out of embarrassment as this was not normal for him. "Alright, tell it to me. What is the job description that is required of me?" He turned to him and crossed his arms. "I feel like I haven't been told everything, what exactly what am I doing? What is the expectation that is placed on me? And where are we?"

OOC|| Dingi was blissfully ignoring half the things the woman was saying. While it was common to disregard a woman's musings, Dingi was just an air head most of the time. When he was told what to do by the sassy master in front of him he chucked. "Right, not touching the heebies." Of course he meant hijab, but he wasn't really paying attention to the conversation. It was in the Quran though. "Quarantine... Is that a duck? Is your God a duck? Sounds like a duck." Dingi seemed to hold himself like a 12 year old, lighthearted and gay.he was a bit slow in picking up on the language difference in 'warming' as well and when it hit him? The prince grew a slight blush. "That's not what I mean Lady Abroa, was it?" He asked and continued to the Riom. The girls were having a good old time, part of the room outside with fountains and gorgeous flowers, and women as well. They're were only a few naked, taking baths that is. He was going to explain why the woman's voice spoke up. He listened to the questions and hummed. "Hmm. Chores mostly. Very few of the herem girls are ever used for bed mates, and they're normally only used by visiting royals. So you have no worries about that. Your chastity is preserved, for as long as you will, as the freedom of your religion. The girls here work as a group to raise the children. I help once in a while, but I am a busy man." He shrugged, letting Soharb go as a wee little girl ran between them, clutching a scrap of bundled and styled cloth that was her baby doll. "Is chores too much? Chamber maids are always welcome. It does get cold at night." He paused, quickly adding to the statement in an almost stutter. "To keep the fires warm and going, I mean!" Dinginess a natural, still awkward around the fairer sex. "And as I said, Al Ta'itha. Um... It's hidden from every map, no one knows it exists unless we bring them, or are truly lost and hoping for the best oasis. It's a place where gods visit, godkin rule, and the people live longer and better."

Sohrab soon realized what it felt like to be a woman, this guy was not even listening!!!! "You know, you need to listen sometimes. If you're going to be a King, listening is key." He spoke right there and then as Dingi responded, "Right, no touching the heebies." "It's Hijab....He job." He pronounced it so the boy could understand. "Quarantine... Is that a duck? Is your God a duck? Sounds like a duck." That made Sohrab facepalm himself, even groaning. "Oh god, too much lunacy from one person." He now wished he didn't take this job, not because of the job description. It seemed like Dinji did realize what Sohrab was talking about by the way his face blushed, "That's not what I mean Lady Abroa, was it?" Sohrab sighed, it was close. "Abira...anyway...Job description?"
"Hmm. Chores mostly. Very few of the harem girls are ever used for bed mates, and they're normally only used by visiting royals. So you have no worries about that. Your chastity is preserved, for as long as you will, as the freedom of your religion. The girls here work as a group to raise the children. I help once in a while, but I am a busy man."
"I figured, I studied Harems before. But I had to make sure it was that. Westerners think of Harems are brothels, not the way you said it." He then saw a little girl running between them, holding a doll. It only made his eyes look sad as he remembered his sister. Dinji must've seen those eyes. "Is chores too much? Chamber maids are always welcome. It does get cold at night. To keep the fires warm and going, I mean!"
"No....I expected that." He stared at the women as since he was gay, he had the advantage of not being perverted or anything. "Busy are you? So Busy you forget things?" He had a snicker on his face as he then rolled his shoulders. Before Sohrab could ask where are places such as the kitchen and library, Dingi gave him this answer: "And as I said, Al Ta'itha. Um... It's hidden from every map, no one knows it exists unless we bring them, or are truly lost and hoping for the best oasis. It's a place where gods visit, godkin rule, and the people live longer and better." That made Sohrab almost lose it.
"Hahaha....haha....ok, good joke." He tried to laugh it off, but something told him something was off. He then gave him a look. "Prove it then, in a non-hurtful and scary way." He raised an eyebrow with a smirk, kind of challenging him to do something.

OOC||I had so many typos in that last post... was trying to do it from my phone lol Dingi didn't care if he wasn't listening well. His father still had quite a bit of time on the throne before he took over. He didn't need to take advice from a woman. While Dingi was a passive sort of man, the way that this woman spoke to him but the other women in the large area were starting to give Abria glares, daring her to continue to speak as that. It wasnt the grown women who were most upset, it was the half pints. Hearing Abria laugh, Dingi turned his head to the female in guise and gave him back a smile, going right to the begining of their conversation. "My father has a lot of time, I listen to more than what you hear. I shall remember it is Abria. And no, I don't forget things on purpose. I'm just not all here." Bada bing bada boom. Everything answered, quick, simple, and in a way Dingi didn't find it threatening. "I have no need to prove it to you. It would put your unexistent 'god' to shame. What does yours do? turn water into whine, make blind people see? These are simple things that are done without notice around here." Dingi said. The little girl with the doll approached again, standing in front of the woman in the black outfit and glared. Dingi put away his almost damning tone and traded it in for a sweeter one. "Kaela, this is Abria, she will be staying here with us for a while. How do you greet someone?" The four year old stared at Abria, stuck out her tongue with a look of disgust, and ran way. Little Kaela was sent back by her grandmother and stood in front of Abria, still pouting. "i dont like you. Your mean to Didi." She huffed, cringing when she heard her grandmother shout at her. Kaela pouted, looked down, but reached out, took Sohrab's left hand into hers, shook it, and gave the crossdressing man a hug. "Welcome to Al'taitha, may the gods smile on you. Welcome to the family."

Sohrab was able to see the glares, which to Sohrab did not make sense...did he say something wrong? Either way, Dingi's smile returned, "My father has a lot of time, I listen to more than what you hear. I shall remember it is Abria. And no, I don't forget things on purpose. I'm just not all here." "Abira." Sohrab commented back. "Not all the way there huh?" He asked as he then could see Dingi spoke up again, "I have no need to prove it to you. It would put your unexistent 'god' to shame. What does yours do? turn water into whine, make blind people see? These are simple things that are done without notice around here."
"Jesus Christ? Why would I believe in a god that had his people almost destroy an entire culture and made innocent people suffer under him?" He raised an eyebrow as he then could see the little girl had returned, but this time the little girl glared at him. He found it weird but he ignored it until Dingi brought the little girl in, "Kaela, this is Abria, she will be staying here with us for a while. How do you greet someone?" He's doing that on purpose now Sohrab shook his head as he just decided to forget about it. He was not amused when the little girl stuck his tongue at him with disgust before running off. So brash....guess that's good. He thought as he was just going to ignore it until the little girl had to come back to them with what seemed to be the grandmother.
"i dont like you. Your mean to Didi."
If you were in my position, you would understand. He thought as he heard the grandmother lecturing the little girl. With the lecture over, the girl had to reach out and shake his hand, before giving him a hug. "Welcome to Al'taitha, may the gods smile on you. Welcome to the family." Sohrab let her do this until she let go. He didn't speak up, only to give a glance at Dingi. "Just let me know if you need anything, I'll set everything up for my stay." He just decided to wait until he was dismissed to set everything up and get ready.
He already knew he would never belong here, since the women were already whispering about 'him' (or her). He brushed it off as he was used to being isolated and treated like crap, i.e. his Father and the Justice System. So he didn't care, as long as he was left alone then everything will be better off anyways. He would rather read books anyways than deal with people that lie and 'pretend' they like you....like the little girl was forced to do.

OOC|| "Why would you believe in a god that would bring agony to any who reject faith and urge all of their believer to fight for their god?" Dingi tilted his head towards Sohrab. "I'm not as ignorant as I look, little doll." He shrugged, watching the little girl run off to play with the other children. Dingi loved the children here, and he knows each of them at a personal level. THat was just the person Dingi was, but something about this woman nest to him was rubbing him the wrong way. She, though Muslim in style, didn't act like the submissive woman as he had pictured in his mind. He quietly shrugged it off and sighed, reaching behind Sohrab and touched her back very gently, ignoring what she had to say about her stay and started walking her into a small gaggle of females and pointed out the one pretty man in the middle. "Sabih is the one in charge in the harem. He's a very kind man. So be nice. He'll show you the ropes." Dingi said. Sabih bowed his head and Dingi leaned towards Sohrab. "Gotta tell ya, he's my favorite dancer. Ya should make him dance sometime." He stood straight and to Sabih, dingi said; "This is Abira." He chuckled, removing his hand from Sohrab and turning to leave. Sabih watched dingi go and the females aorund him started to wander off, leaving Sohrab and Sabih together. "Welcome, lady." He said. Sabih had a wonderful smile, dark skin, long white hair and beautiful golden eyes. "You're just in time for dinner. Come come. You shall help." Sabih didn't touch Abira, just started walking out. There was a line of people who were holding plates being piled with food. "Over there, wash your hands, then get in line." Sabih said, pointing to where to wash. He washed his hands in another area and got in line, looking back to Abira. "Hurry up, bahar!" THe line was already moving. "There's an important meeting today! We cant be slow about this!"

"Why would you believe in a god that would bring agony to any who reject faith and urge all of their believer to fight for their god?"
OH ******** ME! He gulped, completely forgotten that Muslims did follow Jesus Christ in a way. He didn't even try to make a comeback as it would've made things worse. "I just.....I just started......My mom was Muslim and....well...followed her footsteps after she died...she and my.....dad owned a mosque. I don't agree with most of them...." He tried to clarify but he had no idea if it made things even better. "I'm not as ignorant as I look, little doll." Sohrab gave a raised eyebrow...why did he call him 'little doll?'.
Before Sohrab could officially leave and be left alone, Sohrab was forced to go see a man named Sabih...who ran the harem....Let's just hope he has no crazy ideas... "Sabih is the one in charge in the harem. He's a very kind man. So be nice. He'll show you the ropes."
"Ok." That was all that needed to be said. He didn't really pay much attention to what else Dingi said to Sabih as he just preparing for orders. Once the man finally left, Sabih came to him. "Welcome, lady. You're just in time for dinner. Come come. You shall help."
Wow....check that out. Sohrab was infatuated with the man's looks...in all honestly if only he was an actual girl can he be allowed to have a crush on this guy. If he remembered correctly, though, the Muslim religion did not allow homosexuality. So he kept it to himself as he followed Sabih to go and wash his hands before getting in line. "hurry up, bahar! There's an important meeting today! We can't be slow about this!"
"I am going as fast as a human can go! Sohrab interjected as he washed his hands quickly before getting in line. He figured this meant that he was setting up dinner, so he cracked his knuckles and rolled his arms. "Prepping dinner huh? Alright let's go then. Give it to me." He was getting himself pumped so he can get some work done. Maybe after the whole thing was done can he go to the library and read a book or two.

OOC|| Dingi seemed to have accepted that excuse before he left Sohrab with Sabih. Sabih was chuckling at Abira's eagerness. "Being human is your problem then, bahar." It was just a line though, Sabih was just holding a platter. "Oh no, we don't get to cook. Too many attempts on the lives of the upperclassmen, only certain people can cook and carry. I'm looking after you, If you do anything, KashKash will gobble you down~" He teased and once the platter was filled, Sabih covered his hair with a veil and placed the large platter of brown rice on his head. Easily able to carry it without using his hands. "You can carry in your hands. Follow behind me, do as I do and place your food next to mine. Don't try to be gutsy and make eye contact with the guests. Their majesties it is fine, they encourage a level of connection between them and their people." Sabih smiled at the woman anyways and once her plate was full and the line started moving. Sabih kept an eye on Abira as they walked out. There were about twelve different people sitting in a semicircle on the ground, Dingi, his mother, and father sitting someplace in the middle. The food was alternating so no one needed to reach as each plate was set down around the inter part of the semicircle. Sabih set down his platter and backed off towards the wall, never making eye contacted or disturbing the conversations going on. He waited for Abira to come kneel next to him before he spoke to her quietly. "The man trying to hide in the shadows over there--" He nodded to a lithe young man with short black hair and pale skin. "Nobody knows his name. He's the prince's guard. A lot of people say they're lovers. I doubt it though. That person is a skilled assassin...fiercely loyal though. I've heard he refused a direct order from the Queen because it went against something the prince wanted." This was the gossip time around here. The other women who helped with the food were whispering and picking up information. it looked to be a trading meeting of some sort, not just a get together. It looked like Sabih was going to have a panic attack seeing another guest, a woman, dressed in only the best silk, dark skin, black eyes, curls down past her waist, flawless in her beauty. "That is Zmeya... She is the serpent Goddess... The king and queen wish her to wed the prince... She's tried to eat me before..." He mumbled, adverting his eyes when she looked his way with a hungry gaze.

"Being human is your problem then, bahar." "What does bahar mean?" He asked confused, as he had a feeling it might be bad. as he saw that Sabih was holding a platter, "Oh no, we don't get to cook. Too many attempts on the lives of the upperclassmen, only certain people can cook and carry." Sohrab nodded as he followed Sabih's footsteps, carrying a platter. He took note that Sabih covered himself with a veil to carry something. Holy crap, I thought that was movie logic Sohrab stared, amazed as he then got the platter and went on forward.
"Follow behind me, do as I do and place your food next to mine. Don't try to be gutsy and make eye contact with the guests. Their majesties it is fine, they encourage a level of connection between them and their people."
LET ME PROCESS THAT ONE AT A TIME! Sohrab complained inside his head. They finally got to an area where twelve people sat in a semi-circle on the ground, one of them included Dingi. He had set the plate down and could see Sabih backing away so he did so as well. Sohrab sat on his knees next to Sabih, which Sohrab in all honestly wanted to back away as they were too close. "The man trying to hide in the shadows over there...nobody knows his name. He's the prince's guard. A lot of people say they're lovers. I doubt it, though. That person is a skilled assassin...fiercely loyal, though. I've heard he refused a direct order from the Queen because it went against something the prince wanted."
"That is dedication." He whispered back, although he was not the one for gossip. But he figured maybe he needed to know who that assassin is....they might meet after all. This might be good information after all...as in the 'insider' job description. "So...would that mean the Prince is....gay?" He asked quietly, making sure that no one heard. then suddenly Sabih appeared scared so it prompted Sohrab to take a look at a girl who was so flawless it made Sohrab narrow his eyes, one can assume he was jealous...but to Sohrab, it was just how he thought she was pathetic. "That is Zmeya...she is the Serpent goddess...the king and queen wish her to wed the prince...she's tried to eat me before." That made Sohrab be reminded of a certain snake character from the Jungle Book Movie. Suddenly he could see that the woman stared at him with hunger and Sohrab how to suppress the notion of lifting his arm to put in front of Sabih to protect him. "What happened?" He asked him in a whisper, he might as well figure it out. In the meantime, he could not wait until he was out of there and go to the library. For now though Sohrab, just make this day bearable.... Sohrab thought as he just sat there with Sabih. "Also...how long have you worked here?'

I will walk and I will dance, but flying's got to wait until I'm not the only one, and joy can never come too late! ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ S o b i h
OOC|| finally gotten around to doing layouts x3 Dingi has his own now too
Sobih didn't have the time to give a full explanation of what a bahar was before they were lined up and sent out, so he simply said; "Flower". If he had remembered later, he'd explain it to her before he left her for the night.
They were sitting a good seven or eight feet behind the businessmen, but they paid no attention to the gabbling of the lower class. "That shadow is strange..." The male mumbled, talking about Dingi's guard. Is the prince gay though. Now that was a question even Sobih had to word carefully. "The prince has never publicly announced any sort of conformation of being straight, or gay. But it would seem to me that he finds more comfort in a man than a woman, but he could possibly be free loving. He certainly gay in the happy way though." The male explained before the serpent goddess caught his eye.
"Um... I was her dal for the night, but for the wrong night. She was more interested in eating me than sharing the bed. God it was scary... I still l have the scars where her tail squeezed me and her scales burnt into my skin... Just because I'm smaller doesn't mean she can eat me!" Sobih visibly shivered as he got closer to Abira. He let out a breath and sighed, going to the next question. "I've been here since I was thrown out of the brothel... About twenty years or so. It has been a good life. Even if I was demoted to bal." That reminded him. "Lady Abira, ou asked before what bahar means. In the harem here, Bahar means flower. the pure, elderly, and those that are just restricted from comforting are called bahar. I am bal, honey. Which is unrestricted... there's ari as well, for the male unrestricted...But since I am a eunuch, I am considered Bal... I'm sorry I didn't mention it earlier... The prince didnt tell you anything?"
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ It's a strange place to be when you cannot spread your wings, but even bound as we are, we can do all sorts of things! So don't you dare be afraid. Just you hold your head up high. Never mind the ones who tell you you're too big and bold and bright!

Sohrab raised a brow when Sabih said it meant flower. "Flower..." He repeated as he then could see that Sabih was still nerve-wrecked about the snake girl being there. Sabih did explain that Dingi was more comfortable with male presence than female presences. So he is basically your average guy
Once fully explained about the snake girl and what he experienced, Sohrab had a comforting hand on his shoulders. "You're fine." Sohrab was not the one to be good at comforting people but by, he was trying. He did it again once explaining about where he was before coming here. "Well...if we're sharing sob stories...before I was in here...I was in jail for murdering my father. My father killed my mom and tried to attack my little sister...in a scary, sexual way. So my only defense was to end him with a sharp knife. I was found guilty of murder and sent to prison while my sister lived with relatives. I was able to get out after my fourth year because of a bond being paid before coming here."
He figured that if Sabih was sharing something personal, Sohrab can do so too. His face soon was of shock when he figured out the actual terms of the harem. So Sohrab belonged to the pure/elderly/restricted group while Sabih, the eunuch, was an unrestricted. Sohrab had to keep his jaw from falling down out of shock. "No....he never told me. Then again, he left out information that was essential to me...like where we were and what I was going to be doing job wise." He mumbled as now he wondered if they could leave, the legs were killing him! "Is there anything else that needs to be done after dinner?"
