                              ____________________________RACES

                                                NOCTGLAIVES

                                                    INSPIRATION
I couldn't help from creating noctglaives because of my Final Fantasy XV hype. This race is a thousand percent inspired by that game. As anyone should know, Noctis's abilities have to do with the power of a crystal allowing him to call forth any weapon. If you are unfamiliar you can look at any scene of him fighting (such as in here or here). I decided to give noctglaives an interesting backstory, so if your character is one they will certainly have an interesting family tree!

                                                    HOW THEY CAME TO BE
The noctglaives began inside of a kingdom dominated by humans. They were in war with their neighboring enemies, a strong military power filled with advespers and shapeshifters. The human's king ordered their alchemists to try and create a stronger weapon that would help them turn the tides. He wasn't quite ready to surrender yet. The alchemists tried, murdering dozens of test subjects as they tried to find ways to create the perfect war machine (as they were trying to meld weapons with soldiers mimicking the shapeshifters that were destroying them on the battlefields). But eventually, the kingdom fell. After their defeat and fall from power, many alchemists were enslaved to enemy troops where the new kingdom discovered quite enjoyed the idea of an all-powerful weapon. Feeling as though they had better races to work side-by-side with the alchemists, advespers and shapeshifters were used for the alchemists to study and attempt to help create the perfect weapon. Eventually, they created one. It took over 50 years and claimed thousands of lives before they were ready, but the alchemists created magic stolen from the Gods (what the people of Saxon call demons) and melded them in with weapons shaped from a rare gemstone that has long been mined to extinction by now.

Once the alchemists created what they set out to do, brave soldiers stepped forward attempting to wield them. The weapons were too powerful, quickly getting absorbed by the user and killing anyone who tried to learn to use them. To combat this, alchemists needed to start preparing people's bodies to be able to have that much magic running through their veins at once without destroying their organs and frying their brains. Humans turned out to be the only race that stood a chance at wielding these weapons. With help from the Gods, alchemists began to take human slaves and soak them in baths of crushed gemstone and enchanted pentacles. They began to burn enchanted jewelry into their flesh that would help their bodies be able to handle the volume of magic the weapon held. There were such few survivors, but the few who did survive... They had powers unlike anyone had ever seen. Over the years, the humans able to wield these weapons would still get worn down and deteriorate rather quickly. They were bright lights that got burnt out quickly. Their bodies couldn't handle it.

The few survivors were quickly put into a special division of the military called The Knight's Glaive. These beings quickly became royal guards that were used to protect the highest figures on the social ladder. They were seen as blessed by the Divines and any human able to survive wielding a weapon of this caliber was quickly thrown into this elite social status. As time passed alchemists found a way to increase the survival rate closer to 20% of humans who volunteered to try and become a part of The Knight's Glaive. It was discovered that children of Glaives had even a higher survival rate than random humans picked off the street, so every Glaive was required to mate and sacrifice their eldest child to the kingdom to be future Glaive members. Alchemists managed to turn the survival rate to zero when they began sacrificing Glaive members so The Gods could use their bodies. As it turned out, these 'spirits' who were willing to give their alliance to the military in exchange for a body lasted much longer than any human could wielding these weapons. This kingdom dominated like this for hundreds of years with their secret weapons gifted to them by the Gods.

As time passed and war was no longer an imminent threat, alchemists didn't focus so heavy on creating weapons that the Glaive wielded. However, tainted for generations the Glaives began to pass on the gemstones that had been infused with their bodies to their children. The Gods that had been borrowing the human bodies didn't birth normal humans. Each generation became more and more tainted. Eventually, it was normal for their children to be a much weaker version of the original Knight's Glaive soldiers without alchemists needing to get involved. The first man-made race flooded the planet. Every noctglaive comes from this noble bloodline and depending on what weapon their ancestors wielded impacts which form their crystals can take. Small flickers reminding them of what their relatives used on the battlefield in order to carryout their bodyguard positions on the noble they were assigned to.

                                                    MODERN DAY NOCTGLAIVES
The crystal infused within a noctglaive's body is extremely valuable and expensive for all forms of alchemists, jewelry, and black markets. It can be harvested from their bodies in extremely inhumane ways leaving the noctglaive weak, sickly, and frail for the rest of their lives. Because of this it's not uncommon for nocts to tell people they're simply human (since lets face it, not like most need to use their abilities ever). Depending on where you grow up some neighborhood encourage noctglaives to keep quiet about their bloodline. Others are much more trusting of their communities and noctglaives are just another interesting fun fact you can tell people about yourself.

                                                    SMALL PERKS
As from the race description, each noct has a single type of weapon they can quickly summon from thin air and use for short periods of time. They may also teleport short distances (depending on how far they can throw their weapon). While they are not naturally stronger or faster than the average race, nocts can defy small bits of gravity. They are the only race that can 'double jump', teleport upwards, and make other small movements thanks to their crystals that the average person cannot.

                                                GUIDE TO ALCHEMY

                                                    OVERVIEW
Alchemists are one of the most complex races. Not only are they magical so they have the disadvantage of demonic communication, but they also have the largest range of powers. Between enchantments, curses, and potions/elixirs it's impossible to master all your abilities within one lifetime. In the basics fundamentals of alchemy (if your character has ever gone to school for it), you learn about how you are a "magical programmer". The basic piece of alchemy that you first need to master is: When ___ triggers the spell, ___ will happen. From there different conditions can be added and you can get quite complex with the magical "coding" of your enchantment or curse. Properly trained alchemists are taught how to channel their magic through their fingertips, but it's common for self-taught alchemists to channel their magic through different body parts. The area they are channeling their magic from will glow while they are casting any type of magics. Now that we spoke about the basics of how alchemy works, we'll get into the specific types of alchemy.

                                                    APPLICATIONS, COMMON JOBS, AND SCHOOLING
It is impossible to master every aspect of alchemy since there is such a huge range of application, but some people can be quite good at specific aspects. Most alchemists will pick one of the main fields in enchantments, cursing, or potions and from there focus in on what piece of alchemy they love the most. There are many authors who try to create and publish new enchantments, curses, or potions mixtures that people can use. These people often double major and it's a tremendous amount of work to learn to do. Computer science majors and cursing inauguration majors can blend the two together and take what they learned in computer science and try to find new ways curses can work together in harmony to blend both technology and magic into one for the new curses they invent. A medical degree and potions masters is required if you'd like to legally try to invent any new medications and blend together science and magic. People who create new ways to apply alchemy to the world is a very high paying job that takes a very long time and effort to make happen. A single new enchantment, curse, or potion can take years to perfect.

Another common occupation is a bit simpler than creating new applications for the magic. Many companies hire alchemists where you're given the directions to a specific enchantment/curse/potion mixture you are expected to master. You'll be paid each day for producing a certain amount of the product. A single enchantment and curse doesn't last forever. The magic an alchemist places into an object is how many uses you'll get out of it. Often companies give alchemists fairly quick spells that make most objects last about two weeks before it runs out. Most companies sell potions that you can spray on the object to re-apply the curse/enchantment so anyone who depends on cursed or enchanted items on a regular basis will be repeat customers that need to re-apply the magic and the object is good to go again. Other companies combat this downfall by hiking up the prices and telling their alchemists to spend more time on an object. If an alchemist spends 12 hours on a single item, it should be good to go for a couple months. If they spend one hour per object, it'll probably only last a few hours. Those are known as high quality products. The other way to combat the time sensitive issue is to put together teams of alchemists who all enchant one object together. If three alchemists work on the same item for one hour, they're trippling the effectiveness of the enchantment or curse.

                                                    ENCHANTMENTS
Enchanting focuses all around improving, strength, and protection. Many common enchantments have to do with making every day life simpler. There is often an alchemy section in each large store that has enchanted products. Examples of this would be spatulas that will automatically flip and make the perfect pancakes for you each morning while you get dressed for work. Vacuums that are self-cleaning and will clean an entire room while you go out on errands. Alarm clocks that fly around the room so you need to get up and chase it to turn it off.

While enchantments can improve inanimate objects, they can also impact other living creatures. There are many starter objects for children when they are first learning to control their powers or abilities. Necklaces that are easier to shape for metal mages. Bracelets that help control a lycan's transformation. Hats that prevent mages from losing control of their powers if they cannot control it well. Slingshots that amplify a mage's fireballs. Enchanted water that can pull moisture from the air and grow even if there are no immediate water sources in the area. Items like this can improve and strengthen other race's powers and abilities.

Lastly, it is worth mentioning that protection is an important piece of enchantments. Some niche tailors will create bulletproof suits for business men who travel. Alchemists enchant truely fireproof uniforms for policeman that are both lightweight and effective. Mirrors can be enchanted to show a cursed object's reflection with a glow around it.

                                                    CURSES
Cursing focuses all around breaking, weakness, and bringing harm to others. It is illegal to make any curses that bring physical harm to others without a permit given to you by the city. There is still a large market for curses, as this also works to keep your information safe and it can make for some hilarious practical jokes on your friends. Some curse are as harmless as turning someone's teeth blue for a few hours when they use a cursed toothbrush. Cursing is a difficult field for most alchemists to get into since when done incorrectly, it's very common for backfires to happen on the individual casting the magic incorrectly. Many schools refuse to allow students taking their cursing fundamental 101 to 102 labs to do any lab work outside of the class so they can be sure they don't damage themselves unsupervised.

Examples of practical uses where a cursed object brings harm someone legally would be policemen using handcuffs that are cursed to stun the criminal if the individual tries anything violent. With a permit citizens are allowed to carry cursed items that can help defend them against attackers as well. Often times protection firms that have permits can sell cursed items to defend a home as well to stop intruders. The items are often very mild unlike illegal curses. Illegal cursed objects can cause an excessive amount of pain and suffering to the victim that has the effect inflicted upon them. Knives can be enchanted to break apart and dig themselves into someone's flesh so it would do a tremendous amount of damage. Metal can be cursed so if a metal mage tries to bend it, they'll back their ability backfire and instead they'll bend (AKA: snap the ******** out of) their own bones.

A good use for curses is to defend personal information and help improve your life as well. Many technology shops hold curses you can place on your phone that will turn it off and alert you if someone tries to unlock the screen that has a different fingerprint than you. Weakening an object or making it useless until the owner gets it back can be applied and useful in so many different ways. Cursing is just as important as enchantments are for small improvements that make your day to day lives better.

                                                    POTIONS & ELIXIRS
Finally, the last ability an alchemist can learn to do is create things that are meant to be ingested by an individual and effect them in either positive or negative effect ways. This can be anything from medications werewolves can take that mellow them out and strip them of their instinct that makes them want to harm others, to illegal blood based drugs that alchemists create for Blood Nation. Of course, there are many home remedies as well like enchanted energy drinks, snacks that help college kids focus up for a couple hours, and enchanted allergy medications that can be very effective. It's common for alchemists who study potions and elixirs in school to be quite traditional and fine at making pure mixtures or pills with ease where there is a lot of saturated magic in a small dosage. On the other hand, it's also very common for self-taught alchemists to get in terrible habits where they can only enchant soups, meals, or even alcoholic beverages only. Self-taught alchemists have many more odd quirks they'll struggle to be able to break. If you break out of your normal element many of the potions or elixirs will fail to be produced the way you want or be useless.

                                                MAGICAL RACES AND DEMONIC CONTACT

                                                    DEMONS
A more accurate term for demons would be spirits, as not all demons are bad. However, the government has advertised spirits as demonic entities for hundreds of years now and they have a terrible reputation. They are thought to be extremely manipulative, crafty, and sociopathic by nature. While this is not true for all demons since it is illegal to contact demons and if you think one is trying to contact you then you are required to see an exorcist immediately. The few individuals that have befriended some spirits are not allowed to be public about it. There are some online forums dedicated to contacting spirits and many claim that if you are strong mentally enough you can learn to shove the spirits you dislike away and only allow the ones you do enjoy to enter your head. Many 'facts' about contacting spirits are theories or inaccurate though as it's impossible to get accurate data and be public about something like this. The consequences of not seeking help is anything from hefty fines, to rarely, if the judge is looking to make an example out of you it is possible you may be facing jail time. Majority of demons tend to be a bit cold and uncaring, missing key elements of humanoid emotions. They are rarely able to empathize and often have selfish tendencies where they crave to enter our world or one reason or another. Many obsess over entertainment and will use whatever individual they can contact as their source for it.

                                                    HAUNTING
When magical based races get stressed or mentally worn they are more susceptible to demons contacting them. It can start as faint whispers every here and there, to eventually, the demon managing to climb into the individual's head when they're dreaming and totally disarmed mentally. By traveling through dreams they can speak with beings from a separate plain of existence and will slowly have an increasing influence on the individual they are haunting. Unless the individual is trained to lucid dream they'll surrender all control of what happens to the demon who haunts them. Some demons may choose to bring you physical harm and torture you, when you wake, you'll have fresh scratch marks in the areas you were stabbed or burned in your dream. Some demons may simply choose to have quiet conversations where you introduce them to normal things you encounter in every day life like coffee or cars. Demons can browse through your head and take the form of whatever they see. This can be a terrifying monster from a movie that you saw once, to the last book you were reading before bed. Demons are odd since they don't understand what object they're taking the form of when they appear in your dream. If a leaf is consistently showing up in your dreams to talk to you or eventually torture you, that should set off a red flag. The longer a demon haunts an individual, the more hold and control they'll have over you when you sleep. People who have a bad haunting might be trapped in their dreams with the demon for 16 hours a day. It's extremely inconvenient to suffer through a haunting which is why you want to make sure you get rid of the demon as quickly as you can before it interferes with your daily life. As the haunting progresses, it will turn to a possession. Playing a possessed character needs special staff permission. If you are interested in playing a character that deals with a demonic possession you may read further detail about it HERE.

                                                CAIM ABILITIES VS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT IS A CAIM'S ROLE IN SOCIETY?
Caims are a very controversial race within Saxon. While Caims are superior at healing and fixing injuries, it comes at a heavy price. Many caims suffer nightmares of traumatic injuries and situations they've had to live through in order to heal another person. While some families or communities might believe it's a caim's destiny to get into a healing field so they can do good, Saxon absolutely does not expect or ask caims to sacrifice their mental well-being in order to help others. Any caims never use their abilities, and a large portion of them haven't even been taught how to use the magic correctly. It's not uncommon to meet caims that get injuries and hurt when they try to heal others. A large population of caims get normal jobs across the city ranging from meter maids to school teachers. Any caim that becomes a doctor, therapist, or any other job along those lines are not allowed to use magic and must abide by the same regulations and protocols any other race does. If a caim would like to make the sacrifice and use their abilities to help others, the only legal way for this to happen is the individual to open a private practice. A portion of citizens boycott caim specialists because they believe it's sadistic and cruel for an individual to sacrifice themselves in order to heal others. However, many facilities such as hospitals, prisons, psychology centers, mental wards, and other organizations hire as their caim specialists regardless where the patient may be requested a caim, or doctors can alert the on-call caim specialist for help if they're facing a life or death situation, or have their hands full with a traumatic situation. Caims in their private practices do not follow the same oaths and rules doctors do. They may deny jobs and do not need to use their magic if they feel uncomfortable with any situation that comes their way. Caims should never be forced into using their powers or abilities.

                              ____________________________CRIME

                                                DRUG DISTRIBUTION

                                                    OVERVIEW
If your character deals with drug distribution, chances are they are a member of the gang Ghost (or heavily associated with them). Drugs need to be created, stored, distributed, supplied, and sold to the users that suffer from all sorts of drug addictions. Ghost dominates the clubbing district where drugs can be found in the corner of every club. But how exactly do they get from nothing more than a shopping kart of ingredients into the users hand?

                                                    GATHERING THE INGREDIENTS
Ghost members who are trying to gain brownie points to more important members can do simple and easy jobs like stop by a couple shops to help get certain ingredients they need to produce different types of drugs. Anytime someone drops common ingredients off in the locations at the slums where they produce the drugs, they'll usually be given small payments or a small amount of free drugs for the hassle. The members that are higher up on the food chain are always looking for low ranking members to watch over the drug production to make sure nobody is stealing, run errands for them, or other small tasks of the sort.

                                                    DRUG PRODUCTION
Producing drugs can be dangerous and bad for your health at times so most Ghost members don't want to be stuck doing this job. Many members will force their slaves to work producing the drugs when they need the cash, or they will do it themselves if they're desperate enough. Producing drugs is usually a shitty job in crappy meth/coke labs. The locations are usually changing from one building in the slums to the next as Ghost doesn't want to get caught by the police or allow Blood Nation to know exactly where they've set up shop. It's hard to hide anything from the vampires for too long. There are always plenty of jobs to help move equipment, clean up the production sites, or move completed drugs to a safe house for the distributors of the drugs.

                                                    DISTRIBUTORS
Usually filthy rich, distributors are the brains that set everything in motion. They pick locations to set up shop, they hire random little gang members they've got at their disposal to do all the heavy lifting, and they have typically been in business long enough to know the ins-and-outs to producing drugs. These guys keep a close watch over the drugs they are producing and keep them in safe houses, locations designed specifically to keep large amounts of drugs safe. Since they make the drugs dirt cheap, they can sell them as discounted as they'd like. These guys have a lot of control over the city. If they were to raise the price of drugs They'd not only piss off a lot of drug addicts, but the suppliers and drug dealers that work beneath them.

                                                    SUPPLIERS
Distributors have drugs to produce and operations to oversee, they haven't got time to flood drugs onto the streets, so they find people they trust to make it happen instead. Every distributor has some suppliers that collect large amounts of the drug and deal with finding ways to sell it off. It's not like one person is gonna buy $100,000 of drugs in one go. Instead, Suppliers stock up on large increments of drugs and deal with making their drug dealer connections that they can push it off to. The suppliers and distributors split the money they got for it, and they are both damn happy with the arrangement they've got going.

                                                    DEALERS
Drug dealers can be any stupid kid off the street. It's a gang after all and the 'drug dealer' lifestyle really seems cool and appeals to a lot of these people. All you really need to become a drug dealer is to stick around long enough to find a supplier connection that you can buy the drugs from. As long as you can dish up some money and sell your drugs off without using the profits yourself, you should be able to sustain yourself. Some drug dealers are quite good at what they do, play the field smart, and can make a couple grand per week in order to have a fairly nice life. Other drug dealers are terrible with money, addicted to what they're selling, and can quickly find themselves always struggling with debt and scrambling enough money together to afford their next pick-up from their supplier so they can have a chance at paying their rent for the month. Majority of Ghost members try to reach a dealer status, and many develop drug addiction issues since many Ghost members are all about having fun and enjoying themselves.

                                                HUMANOID TRAFFICKING

                                                    OVERVIEW
Human trafficking is one of the most heartless crimes one can be involved with. Victims can be average teenagers abducted by strangers they went to meet off the internet, to homeless off the streets who have nowhere to hide. Trafficking is a harsh business to be involved in. The bodies being taken can be used for anything from forced prostitution, sold off as blood bags, killed, thrown into fighting rings, or even forced to jam illegal weapons inside of their body for transport then swiftly killed afterwards. It's rare to see victims who make it out alive since the people running these operations don't want any sort of witnesses fluttering about. Over half of illegal slaves that get abducted end up dying within the first month or two.

                                                    THE RINGS
Crownless is the main force behind human trafficking. The gang is often broke up into many different rings, where each little group of gangsters deal with operations differently. Some are purely focused on pushing illegal weapons onto the streets, others dabble in both, and some only handle trafficking. Rings named after birds ("The Dove", "The Falcon", etc) generally deal with trafficking. Rings named after trees ("The Ash", "The Locust", etc) are the ones that deal with illegal weapon distribution. Generally once a Crownless member gets comfortable and finds their own little clique, they'll be sticking around one ring and learn to get damn good at their job as they grow familiar with their partners. The gang goes occasionally have floaters who go where they're needed, but it's common for them to find the right ring for them where they settle down into a place where they feel they belong. Occasionally, the police do manage to bust a ring and take them down, but they've never managed to destroy the network of human trafficking as a whole from Saxon City. Many people involved in running, or leading people through trafficking rings are very well educated and nothing like your typical gangster. Crownless truly does house a large division of organized crime.

                                                    ABDUCTION
Each ring builds it's own functionality and depending on what members they have, it impacts the way they run things. For human trafficking, some rings deal with ***** and children where they extort or bribe poor families from the slums offering their children to a lovely boarding school where they'll be allowed to visit their kids in the future (only for the parents to find they never hear about their children again). They often browse foster care and adoption agencies as well as patrol parks for any unsupervised kids. Other rings might abduct most their victims from the internet, luring teenagers and young adults into meeting the love of their life (using attractive dreamy gang members to lure victims with), only to be roofied and wake in an odd location. Some rings are only interested in physically strong races they can use for fighting rings. Each ring has a focus that's their forte. People in charge of abduction have to be fairly sharp and quick witted, many often working in pairs (or more) so they have plenty of eyes watching over them while they carry out the kidnapping.

                                                    TRANSPORTATION
The people in charge of transportation are often well connected. These people gain a lot of names and addresses of places they become friends with that will help them with their illegal activity. They get a place to house their victims, and the other party gets a nice payment for helping them. Since the people in charge of directing their partners as to where they'll drop off the latest 'deliveries' are typically independent from the other rings, each ring tends to heavy depend on one type of illegal slavery. Some people become well connected with brothels, places that throw sexual parties, and sexual deviants who would have no problem holding young drugged victims for a night or two (as long as they can have their fun with them). Some people in charge of transportation are very well connected within gambling and illegal fighting rings where there are plenty of underground bars and clubs that would be willing to hold victims in a special back room. Other times fight rings will find a use for illegal slaves as well. It's not uncommon for them to throw random weaker victims into fighting rings between fights or kept in the back to be used as live punching bags. Hell, sometimes they'll be thrown to the crowd for entertainment. There are a lot of different cultures a transporter can get involved in and make connections in, so each ring has their focuses. Many slaves die at the first locations, either by neglect, they may be forgotten about in the quieter room locations and starve, or be injected with too many drugs that cause them to overdose. Many corpses are dropped to chop shops after they pass away for a few bucks that go straight back into the ring's pocket so they can focus on finding more victims.

                                                    SALES
Crownless makes their money from finding a final location for the illegal slaves. Some rings bring a monthly batch of slaves to brothel owners or fighting ring operators depending on what their focus is. If they have a slave they particularly like, they might put them aside or have a partner inside of their ring keep the slave at their house where they don't ******** them up too badly. The best ones are usually saved for the backdoor of a website where people can browse for illegal slaves they wish to purchase. They have the name of plenty of clients and individuals who are in the market often for illegal slaves. These guys be sure to contact and sell as many illegal slaves as they can possibly manage. Politicians, corrupt police, rich, and the famous all have some bad sprinkled in where the 'sales' members focus on trying to push illegal slaves their way. If the sales person can't sell a slave off quick enough they can easily become a financial burden, so yet again, a large number of slaves are killed and sold to chop shops during this phase as well.

                                                    SUMMARY
While those three steps sound simple enough, there are typically many roles needed in each ring, everything from people working out the logistics, to some brute muscle to back people up, to babysitters to check in on the slaves they have in their position. Some rings are much more organized with more members where they keep a close eye on their inventory, other rings have few members and are run much sloppier where a larger amount of victims die due to neglect.

                                                EXORCISM

                                                    OVERVIEW
When a magical based race suffers from demonic haunting (odd presences in their dreams, becoming groggy when awake, waking with scratch marks and cuts on their body, sleeping more often, lethargic, etc) they are supposed to immediately report it and go through an exorcism. It's a slow process that takes a lot of time, many companies are required to give any magical based races time off from work with pay if they are going through this process.

                                                    IDENTIFYING DEMONS
Just like lucid dreaming can be taught, identifying demons is a skill that mages can learn as well. The exorcist will start off by teaching the individual how to tell if they are sleeping or awake, and they will be encouraged to constantly check if they are asleep or awake multiple times a day. If an individual has trouble with this, or a particularly bad haunting, the exorcist might set up a safe environment and have the individual come and sleep in their presence for up to 6 hours a day (depending on how busy their schedule is). Mages are often sleep deprived, exhausted, and moody at the start of their exorcist process since they are forced to stay as far away from their demons as they can.

                                                ▶ ABOUT THE BLOOD NATION
How does Blood Nation handle illegal slaves?
Blood Nation does make a profit when you are in their possession. Blood Nation depends on illegal slaves and people they blackmail to make their blood-based drug. There are many slaves floating around in this gang that are used for said blood. They should be drained once a month where a large portion of their blood is taken out specifically for the drug, then smaller sessions with individual vampires who pay to have a small blood snack when they feel like it between the monthly drainings. These blood bags are often frail, weak, pale, and many seriously start to suffer health issues as the months move on. Many blood bags end up dying within a few years due to the constant lack of blood. Blood Nation members usually hand the slaves off, taking one when it's convenient then dropping them back when it's easy for them. Occasionally, a vampire will take a liking to one and make it their personal slave, some even might attempt to hide their slave from the gang so they can avoid the monthly draining and use the slave for themselves. So this gang is alright to make a slave with and plot afterwards since many have small amounts of freedom to go out and about in the thread, but I still suggest plotting with members before you make your illegal slave for this gang.

                                                ▶ ABOUT GHOST
Does Ghost have any illegal slaves?
Ghost isn't really a gang that particularly cares about illegal slaves. They aren't in the humanoid trafficking ring in the slightest. However, some members might have personal illegal slaves for themselves. I don't suggest making any illegal slaves that have ties to Ghost unless you plot it with a specific member before hand (where you'll probably be from Crownless/Blood Nation then end up with them).

                                                ▶ ABOUT HAVEN
                                                Does Haven have illegal slaves?
Haven is also not in the humanoid trafficking ring, however, no gang members can own slaves unless they are illegal slaves. Since majority of Haven members are run away legal slaves themselves, their only option is to own illegal slaves. So unless you plot with an individual member to own you (where you'll probably originally be with Crownless/Blood Nation before ending up with them), please stay away from this gang as well.

                                                ▶ ABOUT CROWNLESS
How does Crownless handle illegal slaves?
Crownless is not making money when illegal slaves are in their possession. Slaves cost them money since they need to pay places to hold them (or make deals with the locations), food, drugs, and occasionally clothes/other. Illegal slaves that are a part of Crownlesses humanoid trafficking ring are often faced with neglect, it not being uncommon for some to die from overdose, starvation, lack of water, and just other carelessness. Illegal slaves under their possession are usually isolated from the world, unable to walk around and drugged up so bad they can hardly communicate with people that are in the same room as them. Some of the worst illegal fighting rings will hold onto slaves for Crownless for short periods of time. These fighting rings will drug the slaves up on alchemist mixtures that make them move faster and be stronger for a short period of time. They'll often force the slaves to fight to the death and the worst types of addicts and people come to those types of fighting rings to make large bets so they can feed their addictions and deteriorating mindstates. Crownless doesn't mind if the occasional slave gets killed or maimed as long as the location continues to house the product between movements. They are also friends with brothels, where slaves will be drugged up and left in rooms for people to do as they wish with them. Many of Crownless's slaves end up leaving the brothels with all sorts of STDs and internal tearing. Luckily, they're probably too high to know what the hell is even happening to them while there. It is not suggested you make a slave that Crownless owns unless you plot with other members first as to how they get saved, bought, or whatever else happens to them. Crownless slaves are just too isolated and drugged up to be good playable characters. Final locations for Crownless slaves can be individual masters who are looking for slaves they can abuse and bring harm to without repercussion, while many are stuck in brothels/fighting rings for a few weeks (or months if they're lucky) until they die. Slaves that are too difficult to sell off or do something with are either given to a brothel/fight club/another gang as a 'gift' from Crownless, or they'll just straight be murdered so they are no longer a financial burden on the gang. If they cannot sell you quickly you're worth more at a Chop Shop than being held for another month. You are nothing more than a money sign to Crownless members. If you aren't an easy profit they've no reason to keep you around.

                                                ▶ ABOUT ILLEGAL SLAVES
Where do illegal slaves usually end up?
Before making an illegal slave, you should think about where you want them to end up later on in their story line. Do you want them to eventually escape and try to cope with normal life? Do you eventually want a single owner to buy them? Do you want them to have a specific use for Blood Nation or another gang? Do you want them to be dead and to bring in a new character eventually? Illegal slaves end up in a lot of different locations. So before making a complex story line like an illegal slave I highly suggest reading through each gang and understanding what their slaves are most likely to be used for and the types of places they're likely to end up. All that is discussed in each gang's Q&A post.

                                                ▶ ABOUT LEGAL SLAVES
If I'm an unowned legal slave can I still roleplay around the city?
Yes! Many shop owners allow their obedient slaves to run errands or have a few hours of free time when they ask for it. This is the reason many legal slaves make the decision to behave well. Your life won't be so awful as long as you respect the laws and rules in place for you. So as long as your character doesn't give the shop keeper hell you can still have them out of the shop for roleplays and be an active member of the community.

How much does a slave cost?
Slaves are not crazy expensive. You do not need to be filthy rich or from a well off family to own one. As long as you have a job and spend a bit of time saving up, you can get a slave to call your own. Slaves cost anywhere from the 2-10 thousand dollar range. But keep in mind a slave needs to be fed, clothed, have housing, be taken to the doctor when they're sick, and are a pretty big financial burden in the long run. It's the reason many citizens opt out of owning slaves or cannot afford one.
