Things had settled in a way she never imagined they would. Dare she say it, Itotia was comfortable, something that worried her greatly.
She shouldn't be comfortable, not after years of being trapped in a small room across the sea, away from her family, her friend, her tribe and her gods. She shouldn't feel blessed or fortunate for her comfortable bed or clean clothes. She shouldn't be forgetting that she needed to return home, a place she was slowly seeing as the sandy building she was currently housed in.
No, something had happened these past few years, and Itotia wasn't sure what to make of it.
Groaning, she rushed out of the building, ignoring the girls that no longer feared her, terrified her, and that enjoyed smiling and waving and laughing at her short temper as if it were endearing. She had to resist returning their smiles, her mind heavy with the thought that smiling had become more natural once again.
Leaving the area and walking with her hood up but not covering her face, Itotia began to wander as her thoughts drifted over the idea that maybe, just maybe, Oba was more of a home than Yael ever had been.

Since the end of the tournament, Oba seemed to be a bit more welcoming of foreigners as he wasn't getting quite so many dirty looks when he went around. Perhaps the varying races had proved themselves to the Obans, or maybe they were just beginning to see that this was the way things were now. Either way, Kres was happy to be able to have some people nod in acknowledgement when he entered a store instead of the glares he used to get. Even with his rather embarrassing display during the tournament, Kres was in much higher spirits. Not only had he gotten to see his mother fight and get a chance to speak with her a little after the tournament, but he had also gotten to see cute little Vepkhia who seemed to be doing better than when he had left. It was while he was thinking of this, a smile on his face, that he saw a halfway hooded figure cross his path. The person caught his attention as he cocked his head. "Itotia?" He said aloud. Elyessi Sorry I didn't know what to do to have them meet up. XD

She nearly missed her name, but her body stilled as her ears twitched under her hood. Eyes focusing on the world around her, she glanced about before turning to look to her side to notice a familiar figure. Darker than most, with shining white hair, her little shadow seemed to have returned again. Kresimir was no longer an awkward encounter, in fact she might just consider him someone she trusted.
He was genuine, and didn't come off as any sort of threat. He was sweet enough and seemed to struggle in this land as much as she. It was something she knew she could appreciate, having someone to at least depend on to not want to stab her in the back. Had he wanted to, he would have done it ages ago. No mainlander was patient enough to play such a long-lasting game.
"Kres..." she greeted with a nod and a perk of her lips. She wasn't fulyl back to her old, foolish self, but she felt like she could get there, especially if she was around others she trusted, "You are still in Sulburi or just passing through?"

It had been her, of course it had been her, he joked to himself. There weren't many people around that looked like Itotia. Though, Kres had seen a few Yaeli at the tournament so it could have been possible for another to be out and about in Sulburi. "I'm still here. I spent some time with my family after the tournament since my mother and sister had come. During that time I didn't wander around the city as much as I normally do." Kres smiled at her, each time he saw her she seemed to do better and better which made him glad for her. He thought he could maybe consider them friends now, they at least talked more like friends than acquaintances. "How have you been? We didn't talk much after I had to fight in the tournament. I hope my poor excuse of a match didn't make you too embarrassed to talk to me again." He jested. Kres didn't peg her as that kind of person but you never knew.
