Evergreen was excited about his relationship with Zinnia, she had become such a huge part of his life, he had fallen in love with her. It had been sad for a bit, when he realized that there would be nothing but friendship between, Allium and Aloe, but it was clear now it was for the best, they had many wonderful children together and someday Evergreen hoped that the lovely Zinnia would honor him by agreeing to start a family with him. Ever leaned down as she looked at the flowers in the university greenhouse. Ever cut some apple blooms for a promise and he cut some red and white roses to show his love and unity to Zinnia. Ever turned when he heard Zinnia's voice and he smiled "I just finished up here what's up??" He said holding the flowers he had gathered for her, waiting for the right time to give them to her.

Evergreen smiled and said "Of course I would love to go with you on a picnic." He then pulled the flowers from behind his back, he didn't want to try to hide them on their way to the picnic so he pulled them forward and handed them to her. "I think this is.." He grew nervous, she had accepted his gift of flowers at the prom but would she like this deeper meaning bouquet of flowers?? Would she think it was to fast?? "You mean the world to me Zinnia." He said softly his skin blushing a darker brown.

Ever smiled softly at Zinnia he hoped that she was going to say yes, it would break his heart if she laughed at him and walked away. He would rather rip off one of his branches than lose her. Ever nodded his head, hopeful that she was saying yes by accepting the flowers he had given her, but since she was an imp he would ask her out loud. "Zinna will you marry me??" Ever was so nervous waiting for her answer that he started silently counting each of the petals on the bouquet of flowers in her lovely hands. What if she said no?? What if he never got to imbue stones with her, look into the little face of an infant with her gorgeous eyes and hair?? To play with their children to teach them to respect and love plants? He loved each and every child he had imbued with his friends. Juniper to Ebony were all special in his heart, but children with Zinnia was a desire that pulsed in his heart.

Evergreen grinned and held Zinnia tight and returned her affection, he was speechless, she had said yes, she had really said yes. He was so happy this was his world in his arms his gorgeous Zinnia. Ever shook his head "No Zinnia I'm the lucky one here, you chose to come up to me at the dance least in my memory, you made the first move, I would never have presumed someone as lovely as you would have any interest in me. Aloe and Allium will always be dear friends to me, but we were never in love, and I will always love the stones I imbued with them. You I love you so much, my heart bloomed when you accepted my proposal, thank you, sweet Zinnia." Evergreen said softly. Ever smiled at the lunch she had prepared for them "Shall we head off on our picnic now my fair intended??"

Evergreen chuckled "You are beautiful, I can't imagine you ever going long without someone grabbing you up Zinnia." Then he kissed her cheek and took her hand walking with her to the bench. Then sat down with her, offering to help take out the food. He smiled at her. So happy to be spending this time with her. Ever had spoken to his friends and told them he was moving on to a new character in his life. A chapter that he was very much looking forward to. He would marry Zinnia and someday they would have children of their own. It was a dream that Evergreen didn't even know he wanted, at one point he thought that Aloe, Allium and the kids would be enough for him. Then he met Zinnia and she was just so much. So big to his world. He did and would always love the rest of his family, but Zinnia would always be his rare flower.
