I have algebra homework I don't know how to do. Please save me from an angry teacher.
I need to identify the rate of change for the following:
If x= -3, then y= 15 If x= -2, then y= 13 If x= -1, then y= 11 If x= 0, then y= 9 If x= 1, then y= 7 If x= 2, then y= 5 If x= 3, then y= 3
That was the first question.
If x= -2, then y= -14 If x= -1, then y= -10 If x= 0, then y= -6 If x= 1, then y= -2 If x= 2, then y= 2 If x= 3, then y= 6
Yes, I will tip you if you help me solve these.

Isn't this a rise/run problem. Change in y -------------- Change in X
Just pick 2 points and plug them in to this equation.
y2-y1 ------------- x2-x1
Ex.
(3,3) and (2,5)
Looks like this after you plug it in:
5-3 ------- 2-3
Which gives you:
2 ------ -1
