The tournament was over and somehow he wasn't relived. Ever since then he had a sense of guilt and dread building up in his gut. He was concerned for his best friend Sriina whom he swore he saw in the arms of a man. Was it her fiance? It that was the case she seemed awfully content to be with him. Had he misunderstood her? He could of sworn that she was against getting married to him...

Chewing on his thumb a bad habit he had when he was stressed out and mulling over things it took the vendor a couple attempts at clearing his throat to distract Amari away from his problems. Blinking he gave an awkward and girlish laugh as he picked out the fabric that he intended to make into a new outfit for himself.

The dress he was currently wearing was of his own make, but it was getting too tight around the waist...and sadly he was getting taller. With a new surplus of food now available to them it was like his body was trying to play catch up from when he was young. It irritated him, because his slender body meant it was easy to mask his true gender. A niggling thing that bothered him immensely. Sighing as he gathered the fabric into his basket he distractedly walked away and towards the next stall.

It wasn't like he wanted to get together with his best friend, he was just worried about her welfare. She was so dead set against the arranged marriage it felt weird to have her clinging to the man she was to marry against her will. Sighing Amari walked aimlessly around the stalls. It was another hot day and he could feel his makeup starting to sweat. Frowning he looked for a shady place to sit a moment, perhaps he could fix his make up before continuing onwards.

Mynshaka sighed in relief when he finally got to the market. Then he sighed in exasperation as he looked at the list. A list! His entire village had decided to turn him into a pack animal! SInce you're headed that way, pick this up for me! Ohh and this! He growled to himself in his mind.

Not that he minded really... but... it had also meant he'd had to bring Bumi along just to carry it all! And that meant a slow journey here and back. Instead of the fast ride on Oltia he had meant! He tied up Oltia and Bumi near the edge of the market under a large tree and told them to behave; normally he'd worry about them being stolen but Oltia had taken the arm off of one potential theif and laid his worries to rest.

Now to get things bought! He started at the top of the list and worked his way down, going back periodically to his mounts to drop off the loads and make sure they were fine (and feeding them snacks to make them behave).

As he waited for them to finish eating he looked at the last item on his list; cloth. His neighbors had wanted new bolts of cloth to make ceremonial garb out of. What sort of designs? He wondered, what colors? All they'd told him was cloth!

He ran a hand over his face and grumbled to himself as he glared at the offending item on the list.

Lost in his thoughts he didn't notice the gathering of people, it was getting busier and trying to find a shady spot was nearly impossible without shoving people out of the way. A very unlady like thing to do. Stopping he saw a bolt of bright coloured fabric that just screamed at him to pay attention. Sighing he placed a bright charming smile on his face and approached the vendor.

It was breath taking, deep orange in color with lines of gold interlaced with it. Wanting to touch it he held his breath a moment before turning to pay attention to a different bolt of fabric. He knew if he fawned over the one too long the vendor would notice and most likely jack up the price before he would be forced to haggle for it. He hated to barter but most of the time it would end up in his favor.

Looking at a deep green fabric he adjusted the basket in his arm as felt like a growing dead weight on his arm. It already contained a bolt of fabric...but ..he could never turn down more.
