Wiggling day is never lonely when you share it with another troll. This was one of the first lessons Connie learned, even fresh out the gates of her trials. Born from the same egg as her twin brother, she has never had to face the harsh world of Alternia alone. Connie has a close relationship with both her sibling and lusus. While she is a young semi-successful entrepreneur, Connie does depend on her lusus to protect her physically as she is frail.
Connie enjoys the practice of glass blowing. Connie finds the whole process to be a perfect expression of art. She loves showing off the colorful designs in both her shop and hive. In fact she sees her art as a reflection on her appreciation for life, and all it has to offer. Working with the tools, and making projects for others is her favorite pass time. Connie finds shaping glass both relaxing and soothing. When she's stressed or anxious she puts her feelings into her work. Television is another major pass time for her. Especially Cartoons or a good rom is her perfect ways to spend an evening. She is prone to zoning out when she gets focused on what she’s doing. She also enjoys collecting trinkets off the beach that wash up. Connie does what she can to keep herself busy, as she becomes restless when bored.
Unfortunately Connie has a paralyzing fear of deep water. While she likes to spend time on the beach, she avoids getting anything more thank her toes and ankles wet. Deep water frightens her, so she avoids getting too close to the vast ocean that neighbors her hive.
The little bit of supplement income the children produce is not because they go hungry. In truth, either child's lusii in the hive does plenty of hunting, and provided for the twins. Connie simply has taken a liking to having nice amenities and creature comforts. By making a little extra coin while she's still so young, Connie feels it helps she and her twin get ahead in life. She feels extremely grateful for what she does have, and is materialistic. Connie has no shame in playing the role of a lowly, pathetic troll that needs the pity of others to survive. She uses the fact she is small to add to her success with being pitiable. Connie does not actively try and steal from others. She does however try and upsell her glass wares often times overpriced if it means a little extra in her pockets. She uses her charm and wit to try and entice other potential friends (or customers) into liking her. She also does this to enhance her chances of getting her way. When she isn't working, Connie tends to spend time in the meal block preparing meals and baked goods.
Connie's belief in the hemospectrum caste system is firm. It has been drummed into her thinkpan since her lusus found her. Connie views her manipulation of those around her as a necessity for survival. Trolls are either strong or pitiable as she sees it. They live in a dangerous world on Alternia. Being cute and charming helps her arsenal as a lowblood with diffusing complex situations. Even though it is subtle, this tried and true methods is a proven technique for survival. This keeps not only her twin safe, but those close to her reap in the rewards when she tries to keep things balanced.
Truthfully Connie does not seek to change the order of things on Alternian. In fact, she believes if she dedicates her life to her work, the glory of the Empire will provide. She believes lowbloods are meant to serve and that is how it must always be. Doing anything differently goes against the natural order of troll society. Connie believes violence is fun for trolls of all ages. She finds it fascinating to watch trolls bash one another around. Usually it's for the sake of good old fashioned entertainment. The Glory of today's Crown portrayed in the media and television has helped shape her views. Highbloods will always rule, not matter what she tries or does and that is perfectly okay. The system is in place because it works. Connie finds it difficult to understand why anyone would oppose the natural order of life. Fighting against that fact is pointless in her mind. All trolls have their place. Connie believes hers is either in the service of the Military, or in her crafting ventures.
Strengths:
Steadfast: Resolutely and dutifully, she is a firm and unwavering troll. Connie will get the job done whatever it happens to be. Her confidence comes from life living with her aggressive lusus and twin. Connie believes she has to be firm and confident, in order to have her voice be heard. Connie is an unchanging, fixed troll. Once she latches on to something (or sometroll) she is a dependable, reliable and constant source of allegiance for those seeking a friend. She is faithful, and aspires to one day serve in the royal army, or find her way into the spotlight through her art.
Manipulative: Connie is by nature manipulative towards those around her. She uses her charm and wit to impress others, and is a rather crafty lowblood. Connie presents herself as pitiable as possible to those around her. She believes this behavior aids in surviving in this dog-eat dog world they live in. Connie won't hesitate to bat her eyelashes to get her way, right along with sweet talking sometroll. She always wants more trolls to spend Beetles on her's and her brother’s glasswork projects. Being pitiable makes it easier to sell her wares, and namely not just survive, but thrive! All she does is in the name of helping turn things in her favor, and defusing difficult situations before they turn violent. Connie uses the hemospectrum to her benefit in that she maintains herself as sweet and innocent, knowing it benefits those closest to her and allows her to blend in naturally within society.
Flaws:
Stubborn: Connie won't ever give up on what she believe in, nor is she easily persuaded. She is stubborn in her beliefs, and does not easily change her viewpoints nor attitude even with reasonable argument. As a result Connie is narrow minded, and sees the world in absolutes. She has a knack for missing out on things in life, and has yet to find a balancing act for her extreme behavior. However, even as a redblood she has chosen to latch onto this mindset even at the cost of proving someone higher than her wrong.
Perfectionist: Nothing short of perfection will do. Connie works hard at all she does, and willingly spends an obsessive amount of time if it means getting the job done right. Connie will pour hours into her glass work, and is obsessive about attention to detail. She does not like to be bothered when she’s concentrating. In fact she grows agitated when disturbed, as Connie is so focused on getting things right and being the best at what she does. She is a stickler for details, and does not like pushing herself to get things done in a timely fashion...even when she’s been toiling away for hours beyond a project's deadline. Connie will take her time..even if it means inconveniencing others for the sake of her goals and task at hand. If something isn’t perfect it wasn’t worth doing to begin with, and therefore becomes a failure.
Weapon: A reinforced steel glass blower Block.
Appearance: Connie looks more or less like this headshot picture. All around, Connie is a small petite little redblood. Her set of horns are the opposite of her twins in their positioning. One horn is smaller, and has a rounded curve to it, while the other is by far taller. Both shafts are curved slightly and stand vertically. On her cheeks are set of red birthmarks that appear like symbols representing each half of her, and her twin's symbol.
Connie wears a headband to keep her hair mostly out of her eyes, despite her shaggy bangs. Her hair is loose and fluffy, and drapes around her shoulders and upper back. One piece of braided hair on her left side, and is streaked with her red blood color. She likes to wear cute, yet functional clothes when working around machinery. Connie tends to wear work boots, as they are functional and comfy for beach walking in addition. Connie's belt is decorated with sea glass fragments. She wears a comfortable plaid shirt opened so her symbol in grey against the shirt is clearly visible. Her undershirt matches her blood color. Her shirt is darker black/grey, and a pair of lightweight leggings complete the little trolls outfit.
Home: On coastline of Civisect City lies this comfortable little beach retreat. Connie, her twin Dillys and their lusii share a hive together. It was an abandoned old shack before the twins put in requests for the remodel as their first hive. It is a fair ways out from the city, and while on the cooler side it has a paradise like vibe to it. Connie decorates things frequently with what she brings home from the beach. She has her own respriteblock and recupracoon. The block is just across the way from her brothers. The area is decorated with her memento's given to her by Mima. She also has glass work, beach shells and rocks neatly arranged on her small bookshelf.
Their hive is stylized like a beach hut. The pair work out of their hive when making glass hand blown to order. They have a workbench attached like a small mini garage that acts as an extra storage device. Mima Swift has a few perches she likes to roost in, along with teeth and claw marks in random furniture. The only exception being the television and it's stand in the main living area. Mima sees it as a good way to distract her child. She is careful to keep her sharp claws away from one of the trolls utmost prized possessions. It usually has on some kind of childhood classic rom or some wiggler cartoons. Connie loves to listen to the background noise when lost in thought and day dreaming. It helps her stay focused on her work.
Lusus: Mima Swift is a large velociraptor that has a long rat-like tail. She has feathered wings attached to her arms. She has razor sharp fangs and claws along with oversized set of front teeth. Mima constantly needs to chew on hard surfaces to keep the teeth at a tolerable level. Otherwise the duty of sanding down her teeth falls on Connie. She cares for Swift's overgrown teeth regularly least they cause the creature harm. Mima Swift is a rather ill-tempered beast, she enjoys hunting. The creature enjoys the ruthless thrill of hunting.. Mima Swift takes no prisoners when she hunts for her food. She is primarily a carnivore, and loves to stalk her prey before bringing it back.
Mima taught Connie from an early sweep to survive, she must be willing to show loyalty and bow to those who are her superiors. Her teachings encourage tolerance for tradition, and adherence to the way life that has been on Alternia for many generations. Mima wants the best for her little lowblood. She finds it alarming how small and frail her pup is, and keeps constant vigilance on her to the point of being over bearing. Much to her delight, her child doesn't seem to mind.
The creature loves to collect coins, and other shiny fascinating objects. Mima will bring her child gifts from time to time unexpectedly as a way of rewarding Connie for being a well behaved lowblood. She enforces values of material wealth and gain in this manner. Mima hopes it will inspire her troll to acquire, and want more out of life. Mima enforced traditional views on the hemospectrum with an utmost focus on the caste system. This ensures her troll is a model citizen. While Mima Swift loves her troll daughter, she is also fond of both Dillys and Petre. She views the pair as part of her pack, and would defend them if needed. Swift provides for either troll, although it is clear who she has a closer bond with. The family has been close since the beginning, and support one another as a unit. Neither lusus could bare to separate the twins, so instead have built the foundation of their normal, daily life.
Power: N/A
IF they ever got powers, the twins would have something akin to Shadow-Walking using their psionics! This is hypothetical, one twin uses the power defensively the other offensively. Currently they are just normal, none powered trolls obviously.
