The filtered sunlight trickled into the quiet library, causing the occasional dust motes to sparkle through the air. Cleo, however, was far too busy with her nose in a book to notice the simplistic beauty of the scene. In slightly disturbing silence, Cleo read every word in the book, soaking up the knowledge like a sponge. The book she was currently reading involved the care of plants and the importance they've had historically in medicine and magic. Her melon-green fringe sat in front of her eyes, but was fluffy enough for her to see under, down at the pages. Many teachers had insist she get a haircut, but Cleo preferred it this way; it made it far easier to avoid eye contact with others. The freshling was usually found in the library, preferring the company of the musky books to any other living creature - except for, perhaps, her small collection of succulents.

User Image They had found her just as she was about to settle in with a book on weather in Below and the different climates of each region.

The small freshling held the thick book close to her, and she hugged it to her chest just as an older demon approached her. She recognized him, if only briefly, as one of the heads of Enoch house -- the house in the Asphodel Gardens Academy that she called home. He seemed happy to see her, even if she wasn't so pleased to see him. Had she gotten in trouble? She hadn't done anything. All she wanted to do was to read her book in peace. A frown tugged her lips downward, and she found herself averting her gaze from the head of her house.

"Don't worry, Bambina," he said to her, a hand extending down toward the hybrid child. "We're just here to introduce you to your new roommate. Follow me." When he offered his hand to her, Bina stared at it with her two-tone eyes and said nothing. Nor did she reach out for it right away, either. She just watched the man for a moment before silently and slowly extending her small hand out at as well.

What choice did she have in the matter, anyway? None, it seemed like. She was going to be getting a roommate, whether she wanted one or not.

Once she had taken the demon's hand, he led her to a different part of the library. It was there that the two of them came across the pink and green haired baphomet, whom seemed as entranced in her book as Bambina wanted to be. "Cleo -- I do apologize," he said to the other freshling as he dropped Bambina's hand, "But I wanted to introduce you to someone. This is your new roommate, Bambina. Bambina, this is Cleo."

Bambina couldn't help but stare at Cleo once the two of them had reached their destination. So...this baphomet was destined to be her roommate, huh? How did they decide upon that, she wondered. Oh, well. She was going to have to try and make the best of it, she reckoned. There wasn't much more that she could do aside from that, anyway. "....Hi," came her quiet, curt response.

Clearly, she had such a way with words.

'Ahh, you have to water them far less in winter.' She mused to herself, reading a rather fascinating chapter on her favourite plant of all; echeverias. Engrossed in learning as much as she could in her time between classes, Cleo didn't even notice the other two walking towards her. She started slightly at the demon's words, hastily looking over at him. The head of Enoch was someone she had barely encountered and was surprised at his words. She knew that most students had a roommate, but she thought her quiet and somewhat unfriendly demeanour would make them consider otherwise.

Her eyes fell to Bambina, although how she saw out of her thick fringe was anyone's guess. It was fortunate it was hiding her eyes, however, as they narrowed in suspicion. The girl seemed rather reluctant about the situation, her single word followed by awkward silence. Realising she was probably expected to speak, she nodded her head slightly.
"Hello," she replied, her voice surprisingly strong for a quiet child.

She glanced up at the head of house once more, lifting the book she had been reading off the table and frowning.
"Are we going somewhere, then?" she asked, not entirely impolitely, "I'll want to check out this book first, of course." Cleo always spoke matter-of-factly, as if it was unfathomable to her that she may be corrected or denied. She looked at Bambina once more and tilted her head, her eyes focused on the book she was carrying. "What's that?" She gestured towards the book, one with a cover she hadn't recognised.
