Zaku was pacing his room, determined and angry as well as slightly annoyed. He didn't like what was happening or how he had to go about all this. Looking at the business card he had commandeered from a certain little succubus, he flipped it over then back. Thinking for a moment before pulling out his cellphone and dialing the number. He waited as it rang, reluctantly coming to a sit on the edge of the bed as he rested his elbows on his knees and sighed, dangling the card in his free hand as he kept a stern and cold look on his face.

Zephyr sat up from his laying position as his phone went off, having it still activated and on as he had been promised contact from her. Rubbing his eyes as he looked around for it among the grass and trees, he took his phone and went to answer it as he brushed his hair out of his eyes. "Zephyr Kardos speaking, what do you need?" his voice seemed rather monotonous, and maybe a bit pained. Something was hidden in how he was speaking, but he didn't want others to hear it, so it was hidden among as many layers as it could be without completely going emotionless.

Zaku came to an immediate stand as the other person picked up the line. Answering with his name mad it easier to know it really was him. "...Zaku Shiori... I need to hire you for something of a personal matter..." he paused for a moment then walked over to the wall and tapped against it lightly then backed up a Cordelia shifted through the shadows and appeared before Zaku. She went to speak but noticed he was on the phone and remained silent, waiting for his command. "..Where are you right now?... I will be there in a few minutes... I need to speak with you in person about this if you are willing..." he asked as his tone was still fairly stern and unwavering. He was obviously very serious and in dire need of something as he spoke. Zaku looked to Cordelia and gave a short nod as he kept speaking with the person on the phone. He honestly didn't have a lot of time to act, and he needed someone with expertises out of his skill set.

Sitting up a bit more, soon standing, he stretched. "Personal matter, sure. I can at least listen to what you need me to do. I'm at [location]" as he spoke, he picked up his wallet and his cigarettes, soon looking down to the unmarked grave that had a young tree that had a very interesting carving in it. Placed inside the center of the carving was a deep red gem, one that glimmered in the dappled sunlight coming through the treetops.
"Warning you now, lots of trees."

"[location]... lots of trees... that actually works well... Be right there..." he then hung up the phone and sighed. He looked to Cordelia with a stern look and she placed came to stand right in front of him, placing her hands into his, and closed her eyes. Shadows enveloped around them and they faded away from the room.
A few minutes later, shadows swirled at the base of a few close trees as they rose up and then faded, the two of them being left into sight. Cordelia dropped to her knees and took a deep breath. It had been a very far jump and it was obviously taxing on her as she trying to regain her composure.
"Just go, I'll catch up.. just need a moment.."
Zaku nodded, "..I'll be just ahead." he commented then began to walk toward where he should find Zephyr. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he kept his determined look as the purple-haired meta came into view and he stopped a few yards away. "..Zephyr.." he greeted coldly. This was not a look he wore often, looking so serious being an almost complete opposite of his nicer personality that was always smiling and making jokes. This was a serious matter, after all. "To start off with, I'll pay any price you deem fitting for this task. It won't be easy, but I figure it may be a little easier for someone of your abilities." he took a deep breath. "I need you to find someone, make sure they are safe. If they are and don't seem to need assistance, then good, your job is done. But if they appear to be in danger of any sort, I need you to get them out of whatever situation they are in and bring them back to me." he shifted his weight a bit as he kept his eyes fixated on him. "..Does it interest you?"

Waving a hand when Zaku showed up, he brought a cigarette to his lips and lit it and took in a deep breath. He was clearly worse for wear, dark bags under his eyes and looking like he hadn't slept in several days, but he was still alive and kicking. "Well, that's not too bad, the only issue I see right now is where you will be at if I do need to drop the person off in question." he stated, soon pacing in front of the muse, cigarette between two fingers as he looked towards the Muse.

"Belosh. I'll give you my direct number and you can contact me if you so need to drop the person off... I will come receive them." he answered. He looked over Zephyr, obviously looking like he'd been through hell but wasn't want most people looked like nowadays. He himself only looked tired and more tense than anything else as he kept his hands in his pockets. "Will you do it?... I need to know you at least won't double cross me if I tell you who it is... This is just a very important matter to me. And I would do it myself but there is another matter I'm also tending to that requires my immediate attention as well so I'm unable to go scouring for someone at the same time. If it helps any, the person in question was last seen in Aldas... so it makes things a little easier for a starting place." he mentioned, taking a cursory glance around. He knew that city wasn't too far off from where they were. Returning his eyes to meet Zephyr he spoke again, "Do we have some sort of chance at a deal here or am I wasting my breath?" he asked genuinely, though his voice was still low and unwavering.

"Yeah - yours will be the last job I take before I go on a vacation, so to speak. Not sure how long it'll be, I was waiting to hear from my teammate, but she hasn't contacted me in a couple days.." Zephyr looked at his phone, sighed, and put it in his pocket.

Zaku frowned empathatically, no wonder he look he'd been through many sleepless nights. Missing his teammate. He kind of knew how that felt, not knowing if they were coming back or just avoiding you altogether. Though, it seemed like he need the vacation so Zaku nodded. "Good... I need you to find a girl named Hexxis Luz. She was apart of SIU before she ran away almost two months ago. I need you to find out if she's safe wherever she is. If she's with a black-haired arch-angel meta named Trisuri, just leave her be I guess. But if she's alone, just bring her back. She was part of a transfer list to Haven as per the filed you left with us which left me unsettled about her being alone...oh, which.. by the way.." he fished out the flash drive he had left behind and held it out to him. "You left it... Figured you'd want it back." He then sighed, "As far as description, last I saw her. Purple haired, red eyes, eye patch, probably still has inhibitors on from SIU though she may have disabled them if she still hasn't been found by them yet. Honestly, can't miss her." he described before looking at Zephyr closely. "Is that enough information to go off of?"

As soon as the name was spoken, he slowly looked up to meet Zakus gaze as he mentioned the name. His expression was one of confusion, shock, and mild concern. Why was the renegade leader looking for Hexxis, aside from trying to get her away from Haven, which was a very good plan. "...Why do you want to find her? Aside from keeping her away from Haven - which good plan by the way, they're dicks - why do you want her in your .." he paused, having to think of the right word, "Your sights?"

Zaku narrowed his eyes, analyzing Zephyr's reaction. Odd. If he didn't know better, he might have guess he'd at least heard of her with that kind of look he gave. Something that intrigued but also scared him. "A contact of mine just opened my eyes to a very interesting situation. She may not even know from what I've been told, since honestly it seems no one knew until just very recently including myself.. but she's my daughter. I was told she was adopted to Trisuri Luz and I don't want to interject if she's happy with him. But I needed to make sure she's even in a safe place. I owe so much to her for not being there for her... Neither of us were.. We didn't know." he sighed. "It's pretty complicated I guess. None the less, I need you to find her... the last thing I want is for her to end up at Haven... like you said, they're dicks... and they wouldn't hesitate to torture her or the like if they found out she was my biological daughter..." he explained, a glint of regret and pain in his eyes as he shifted his gaze down to the floor reflexively. "I've been at Haven before.. they'd likely have my DNA from back then and it would not be hard for them to figure it out if they were looking..."

"Uhuh.." Zephyr cleared his throat and put the cig between his lips and took in another deep breath from it, putting his hands in his pants pockets. "So uh. What would you think if I actually have interacted with her...multiple times.....and had to leave her recently because of her own personal decisions, even though I didn't like it myself?" he asked, clearly trying to get to something.

Zaku straighten a bit as he listened to Zephyr talk about actually knowing her. The only connection he made was that she was likely the teammate he had been expecting to hear from, though he could still be wrong about that. "So was she alone?" he asked, not hearing any mention of Tri in his explanation. "...and where did she go?" he asked then shook his head, the concern growing on his face. "...why.. what happened.." he then asked instead as he didn't understand what he meant by him leaving her, and why he didn't like it. Though, if it was her decision, that would make sense why Zephyr might comply despite his own wishes.. which meant they were close. Friends?...or more than that? They must have been teammates. Which he could only assume she'd grown since he last saw her. He honestly doubted this man would team up with a child... could a child even be a mercenary?.... his thoughts were getting off topic. He shook his head a bit, trying to understand the information, as he didn't expect that Zephyr had already known her. This made things a little different but not by much.

He finished off his cigarette and crushed it under his shoe after dropping it to the ground, then moving to pick it up to and pocketing it, "She wasn't alone. We were meeting up with what I assumed to be her father at that point in time - he wanted to meet me as I was her Mercenary Partner at that time - so I agreed. I had been moving to the location where we were meeting when I got contacted by her to not go inside - as things would get a little more aggressive than needed..." he paused, running his hands through his hair as he literally started to ramble about what had happened. "I had left our team id with her under the door and moved to leave, but she turned all robot and went on a walking-spree somewhere, so I followed. They got her to stop, she told me to leave after her...supposed family shot at me. So I left. I kept contact with her until fairly recently, she had promised to keep contact with me...but I haven't gotten anything since that last one.." Zephyr sighed and closed his eyes, moving to lean against the tree that had the gem in it.
"We had become fairly close within the month we were together...I miss her." he whispered.

Zaku became quiet as Zephyr spoke of his time with her. So she was meeting up with Tri, which meant she hadn't been with him up until that point. Aggressive.. ha.. figures. "...her adopted father is... defensive..." he muttered softly and sighed, remembering when Tri had attacked him with a knife. Good times. Still, this was a bit concerning to say the least as Zephyr's story continued.
As he explained her becoming robotic and walking off, getting her to stop... it all set an uneasiness in his stomach as it didn't seem like they had any control of her.. or maybe had too much control of her. Either way, it didn't sound good. 'Supposed family shot at me.' He folded his arms with a light snort. "...mara..." Yeah, he knew exactly who was the one shooting at others without a moments thought on the matter. Attack first, ask questions later. His expression dropped into something of worry as he mentioned she suddenly lost contact with him when she promised she would keep in touch. He thought for a moment, "I don't like the sound of that last part... so you're saying that SIU has her again..." His heart sank. "They're the ones that put in the transfer to Haven... ********> he cursed. His mind was racing as he looked up to catch the last bit of his sentence, the emotion in his voice conveyed the last bit of information to secure in his mind just how close they had been, probably not to the exact extent, but he had an idea. Sighing, "I know she told you to leave and SIU had taken care of her up until a point, but most things are out of their hands what with how poorly parley went and Ree betraying them. It's all been a mess from there, and I would bet my life to say she's likely not safe there anymore..." he brought up a hand to his chin to think for another few moments. "I still suggest the same... find out if Tri is with her... if he's not, get here out. Not that I trust Tri fully, but he doesn't come off as the kind of person who would adopt a girl and then let them get taken by a place like Haven... So if he's around, I trust enough that he's got it handled... if he's not, I really don't trust SIU to do a damn thing but hand her over on a silver platter to Haven."
