The building she brought them to was modest outwardly - it looked like an industrial building that had been converted, though if that was how it was or what it was meant to look like, Jo couldn't say. All she knew is it had a safe place to park her truck and was, so far, an excellent place to call home.

Once out of the truck, she lead him into a nondescript hallway and up two flights of stairs (with an apology - the elevator was broken - but she did lead the way so he'd at least have a view), pausing on one of the landings that only had one door. It was that one that she unlocked with the keys off her hip, opening it and leading inside.

"So this is home," she gestured, locking up behind Cas. The space wasn't enormous, but she had made the most of it with her furniture and set up, the strange character pieces actually rather telling if inspected - the ones that looked like they were hand made, were. "Until the itch to move resurfaces, probably in a month or two." The keys were tossed on the table, fingers already moving to the belt around her hips. "There's more beer in the fridge if you want to make yourself at home, but I have to get out of these slacks before they wrinkle. Otherwise," she paused by the back of the kitchen where a tight pair of stairs lead upwards, "I'll be right back."

She'd only be gone three minutes - she did not mess around when it came to getting comfortable - returning looking a lot more softer than they'd met. The blacks were swapped for a light cream robe-like dress that tied loosely on the side and gave a lot of leg when she stepped just right. Her fingers deftly put her long ombre hair in a thick braid as she descended, eyes alight over her smile.

Cas appreciated the view. He really did. He trailed her almost like a horse after a carrot, watching the way her hips swayed as she went up the stairs. There was a lot going through his mind, most of which he paid no attention to, but he remembered thinking he hadn't been so infatuated with someone in a long time.

"It'll do until then, hm?" he asked, looking around the apartment she led him into. Almost vaguely, he nodded and went to the fridge while she made her way upstairs, pulling too beers out of the fridge and popping the caps off. And the brief looking around at his surroundings felt just as blurry, until Jo reappeared in a dressed that seemed designed to show off her legs, and he snapped to attention then, doing his best not to keep blatantly ogling her.

"I got you one," he said helpfully, handing one of the beers to her. "Why didn't you just go out in that?"

She accepted the beer, leaving her braid over her shoulder. "Because maybe I want to reward you a little," was her breezy reply, taking a sip of the beer. "Maybe I just want to see how long you'll hold out." Jo grinned, much more comfortable in the walls of her home, and it showed.

"That aside, I don't like to show off all my tricks at once. You have to work to see it all." She lifted her brow at him, almost challenging. "Would you have really listened to a word I said if I sat down to you in this?"

"Not long, apparently," he said, glancing down at himself with an amused frown on his face. He took another swig from the bottle of beer, and leaned against the kitchen counter gripping the bottle by its neck.

"I would've listened," he said first, then reconsidered it. "Maybe not. Actually, yea, I wouldn't have heard a thing." And Cas would be the first to admit that he was struggling a little to pay attention now as it was.

More long swallows of the beer, as if he wanted to drain the bottle quickly so that they could proceed to more exciting activities already.

"Well, alright, what are your tricks?" he prompted with a sly smile. "What are you moves? You get the guy back to your apartment, you change into a slinky dress, and then..."

Her brows raised at him until he agreed with her, amusement in her gaze. "It's a compliment," she chuckled, noting all his movements with avid interest. "I like to connect with my prey before I strike." She was teasing - mostly. "Can't do that if you can very nearly see my hip with each step." And Jo knew well how the piece of garment clung to her like a promise. She rarely did anything by accident.

"It can play out differently," she admitted, "depending on many things. We could have started at the door, we may never make it upstairs. Isn't that the fun of it?" Cas may have been a gentleman in trying to finish the beer he opened, but she had no such scruples, setting the beer on the makeshift table and gliding over to him, barefoot and well balanced.

He still had height on her by a half foot, she'd guess, and that pleased her still. "I might push his buttons a little, see what makes him tick." Her fingers slid beneath the hem of his shirt, brushing over the warm skin beneath. "See if he's into small talk about my furniture in an attempt to not stare at me, or...see if he'll stare at me and not even notice if there's anything else." A slight grin accompanied the words. "I'm in my comfort zone, here, so it's seeing where his is, that's what interests me. Especially with a threepeat on the horizon."

Men are so simple, Cas decided in the brief moment of equal parts clarity and haze when he felt her fingers touch bare skin and felt a jolt, a very familiar hitch that reminded him how quickly he'd be done with the talking, small or not. It was so easy to set men off. He would not be the first to complain, but sometimes it seemed... almost unfair.

"You're pretty good at that," he said, lowering his beer and tilting his head down toward her, pushing away the urge to sweep away all the flirtations and get down to business. Patience could be its own reward.

Cas didn't have to look up to take in his surroundings. "Loft, big couch, simple decorations," he said of her furniture. "Done, and I'm still staring." He reached for her, hands settling into the curve of her waist, and guided her closer with a gentle but unquestioning pressure.

She undeniably liked this man, his attentiveness, the way his eyes held all the heat he wasn't yet caught up in. Her chin lifted in response to him, grinning up at him with that sly interest in her gaze as she closed the gap between them and nestled easily against him. Still slow and measured, her fingers slid up beneath the fabric of his shirt and then around his sides to mirror him, pleasantly surprised at his build and fully understanding what she was up against. Jo so did enjoy a challenge, and Cas was delivering in spades even without trying.

She started to say something, but paused, looking his face over slowly. Jo'd been ready to give him the freedom, but she decided she'd take control up until she couldn't. "Upstairs," she practically purred, insistent, "and then you can discover what I'm wearing underneath." Stretching on her toes, she pressed her lips to his, a silent encouragement for him to get up the stairs or risk having to follow her, to put that patience to the test.

"Nrrmph, don't say that," he said against her lips, returning the kiss, unable to stop himself from smiling. "The little guy's already struggling to behave himself." And certainly didn't need more encouragement, because her body pressed against his and her hands under his shirt were more than enough.

He lifted his head and looked over at the stairs, then back to Jo, and his grin widened. "Let's go," he said quickly, grabbing her hand, leading her upstairs with hurried insistence. His torso already missed the warmth of her fingers, and he wanted her there. She'd see when she took of his shirt the scars underneath, some from his days in combat, some from an unfortunate childhood. And a couple from plain stupidity. But those were different stories, ones he'd tell if asked. For now, though, they stood alone.

Jo didn't get much sleep - she hadn't anticipated much - but when she did sleep, she was down for the count. Waking up was surprisingly easy as the sun warmed the blinds over her large windows, painting the room in soft earthen tones and stirring her from her deep sleep. Breathing in deeply through her nose, she turned her sleepy gaze over the panes of the chest she was against, smiling to herself and trying to move slowly and carefully to not jar the mattress as she disentangled herself from the man in her bed.

She was sore in all the best ways and she could feel that coiled energy reserve of a night well spent starting to warm her limbs. Going over what she had in the fridge mentally, she swung her legs around and sat near the edge of the bed, groping for a shirt so she could go make them breakfast. Cas deserved that much - she couldn't remember the last time she'd had so much fun.

Cas was a light sleeper. Had to be, after years of practice. He blinked open his eyes when Jo rose, smirk hidden behind the blanket nestled against his face as he observed in silent awe the way she moved.

Then she sat on the bed, and he roused himself to curl around her, one arm draped across her lap and hugging her butt to his chest as he leaned his face against her hip.

"Good morning," he muttered, words half smothered and spoken into her thigh. "I hope this isn't you fleeing your own apartment to get away from me." Smile.

She could hear him shifting over the blankets before she felt his warm arm around her middle, humming in a soft sound of contentment as he settled against her. His words made Jo chuckle lightly, momentarily giving up her search to instead run her fingers through his tousled hair. "You've figured me out, caught in action!"

Resting her other arm over his, she tucked her legs back up against the mattress and partially leaned back against him, continuing to stroke his hair. "I was going to try and make us a decent breakfast, but you make it very difficult to even want to leave the bed." Her voice was a mix of amusement and tenderness, still softened with waking from sleep.

"I was going for the four-peat," he mumbled again, face still nestled against her leg as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes. It felt like a lazy morning, but every day had seemed increasingly so ever since he'd arrived aimlessly in Ashdown, and Cas tried not to let himself lounge around any more than necessary.

He propped himself up on one elbow, thoroughly enjoying the feeling of her fingers running through his air, and gazed up at her with adoring gray eyes. Breakfast, bed, it all sounded great, ringing pleasantly in his ears. The only bad idea she could have proposed was him leaving, which Cas was relieved to realize she hadn't yet.

He didn't mind staying a while longer.

"I make good coffee," he offered helpfully before leaning in to press a kiss against the side of her ribcage. "And I can make bacon." Another kiss, higher this time. "Or pancakes."

"Oh?" Lifting her hand as he got on his elbow, she pulled her hair over her opposite shoulder, a cascade of blonde and seafoam as her only garment. "Insatiable. I like that."

The look given back to him was equally adoring, her smile muted but true, though the trail of kisses tugged a light bit of a laugh from her lips. "Are you just naming off things to try and convince me you actually have an appetite for food?" His lips were warm and very nearly tickled her, toes curling as her fingers slightly tightened in his hair; if Cas wanted to get a rise out of her, he was doing astonishingly well. She couldn't even be frustrated about it - they were a bit beyond that phase, now.

Succumbing to his warmth, Jo slid her legs back beneath the covers and followed the line of his body with her own, laying her head on his forearm and looking up at him with a smile that was both parts relaxed and interested. "I was thinking of both of those things," she continued conversationally, even as her hands made their way up his chest and around his shoulders, speaking of something else entirely, "andouille sausage too, if you like spicy. I make a mean omelet."

"I like food," he said with a laugh, encircling her with his arms and pulling her back into the warmth of the blanket. "Eggs. Breakfast tacos. Hash browns." One hand traced the curve of her body beside his, firm but gentle at the same time.

"Yours sound better than mine, though," he added. "I could go for some spice in my life." But later, clearly. He leaned in to kiss her, and it was clear this time, as before, that he wasn't planning on stopping there.

The sun would be higher in the sky before Jo even had the inclination to sit up again. A soft sound of discontent escaped her lips, not wanting to leave the warm curl of Cas' arms and mussed blankets, but her stomach was starting to growl with a demand that would be embarrassing if she let it go much longer.

Grabbing one of her favorite long shirts that went off her shoulder, she kneeled back on the bed only to press a kiss to the man's temple, inviting, "I'm going to go make something for brunch," before finally made her way downstairs. She hooked up her phone to a small but manageable pair of speakers and shuffled through some songs before landing on Oye Como Va, swaying to the music as she put her hair up in a messy bun.

A quick scavenging of goods yielding an idea, putting aside the pancake mix she'd originally started on and instead retrieving english muffins, bacon, avocado, chives, two types of cheeses and eggs. Setting out the food in individual stations for use and started to get to work, Jo swayed to the music with a little barefoot dancing, lip synching as she went.
