With a few bags of groceries in hand that he had managed to get onto his bike, Shun was headed back to his apartment. Someone else was already making their way in, and so he went on and jogged to try and catch the door before it shut and locked. He was just a few moments too late, as the door clicked into place before he could shove a foot in the way. And the person who had entered before him either didn't give a damn or simply didn't notice. Grumbling quietly to himself, he set his things down so that he could let himself in.

Chel had had a rough few weeks if the scarring along her face had anything to say about it. After being bedridden for a few days (and a couple days after that so that Chel could skip work) she was finally back up and back to doing her job. Her wounds didn't look much better, mostly because they weren't going to get fixed overnight. That and she was still healing from her wounds from the fight at the library.
Chel's body was tough, you could at least say that.
She watched Shun fumble with his things for a moment. She'd been avoiding him, but she wasn't so skittish that she wasn't going to go to the apartment just because he was there.
"I got it," she said somewhat more quietly, approaching holding up her key to the door.

While Shun was about to grab his keys, he heard a voice he didn't expect to hear. Furrowing his brow, he turned towards the source, staring at Chel. He took note of the damage to her face, which was something he didn't quite expect to see.
"I had it," he grumbled under his breath.

"Don't you always?" Chel muttered under her breath, never able to shut her big mouth.
The door clicked and began to open slowly.

"Then why do you bother?"
As the door opened, Shun grumbled and gathered up his things to push on through. Given the way the last time they had seen one another had gone, he was surprised she was even talking to him in the first place, let alone opening a door for him.

Chel looked at him with a sour face. "I had a rough few weeks an' I don't like other people goin' through it too."
She realized he was probably looking at the wounds and not her and pulled up her hood.

Shun let out a scoff, shaking his head as he started towards the stairs.
"Except I am fine. Dealing with a door is not exactly a struggle," he muttered.

"Sorry fer that too then," she muttered, yanking her key out of the door and following after him. "Yer head any better?"
She hadn't seen him for a few days, so hopefully it was. She was also watching the grocery lifting, waiting for an opportunity to step in if need be.

"Headaches come and go," Shun stated dismissively. He didn't seem to be having much trouble with his grocery bags as he went on up the stairs towards the fourth floor.

Chel had to stop partway up because her side was hurting too much. It was part of the routine. She held it for a bit while she took a breather.
"And the powers?" At least she was acknowledging it.

"Those are not going away anytime soon," he said calmly, "There is no turning back for me, I am certain of that."

"What d'you mean?" Her voice was starting to raise because he was getting farther away.

Shun didn't slow down at all. So instead, he just called down, "I would rather not speak of it in the stairwell."
And such, he continued on up to the fourth floor. Once he got up there, he let out a breath and continued onward.

She stopped yelling, instead muttering to herself. "Sooo I'll just sit here. Great conversation."

There was no response. Shun just stopped outside of his door and set his bags down so that he could fetch the keys to his apartment.
