Life had been, well...life. Nothing fantastic had been happening. In fact it was rather hum drum as she went through her daily routine of working, maybe finding time to do some yoga and dote on star, before rinsing and repeating the process. In a way, it was taxing on the young woman. She was finding herself getting bored with the basics and wanting more, but unfortunately her slim wallet told her there wasn't much more she could do. Life was a struggle financially, and she was barely keeping herself afloat.

For the most part, Juniper kept her spirits up. Especially at work. Working customer service meant you needed to keep a smile on your face so you at least appeared happy to help the customer. It wasn't easy some days.

'A customer needs help over in the men's department. Juniper could you head over?'

Putting down the woman's shirt she had been folding, Juniper sighed before pushing the radio button. "Yea not a problem. I'll head over now."

Giving the pile of clothing she had been working on a quick look over she noted she had pretty much finished what she had been doing. Only a few shirts seemed rumpled but they would pass muster. After all, a customer was likely to come and mess things up anyway in the amount of time she was off helping whomever it was in men's.

So, putting a smile on her face, Juniper navigated the store to the men's department, and easily found the man whom had requested assistance. The Men's department was usually not as heavily populated as Women's or Jr's so it made locating customers much easier.

Walking up to him, Juniper broadened her smile. "Hello! How can help you?"

Juniper certainly recognized the man as one of their usual shoppers. Thankfully, he wasn't one she ever recalled being rude, obnoxious or down right aggravating, so she was more than happy to help him find what he needed. But...

She stood there and looked at him as he brain processed what she was hearing in his voice. It was...strange. Had it always been like that? Surely she would remember it considering he was a familiar face. But...Alright Jun. Just...try to ignore it. Maybe it'll stop.

"Uh. Yea! Linen. We have quite a lot of it. Actually some just came in the other day so you should have a lot to choose from." She smiled. "I think there's white, gray, black, khaki, dark blue and possibly a salmon? I am not 100% positive, but they're actually right over here." She turned to lead him towards the rack which was a few rows over. There the slacks hung neatly from light to dark.

She turned back to him. "This is what you're looking for, right?" In a way, Juniper only asked so she could hear Liam's voice again to make sure she hadn't just been hearing things. Voices just didn't....echo on their own like that.

There it was again! You're definitely not imagining that, Jun. What the hell was going on? At first she thought she could brush it off as nothing more than a vocal issue on his part, but the more she heard it the more she realized it almost sounded...otherworldly?

"I have to admit, it's a bit of an odd color for linen pants." She shrugged. "The shorts in that color seem to sell though. I think if you pair it with the right items it could be a fun color to wear."

Jun was doing her damn best not to let on that she noticed anything strange with Liam as he went about flicking through the slacks rack. She waited partially to make sure he didn't need her help anymore and partially because she was intrigued and curious.

Then he fixed her with a look and she sputtered. "Uh, um, no...I mean." That was when she threw caution to the wind and said ******** it. "Ok, fine. Are you....are you sick or something? You just....you sound odd is all." There, that was a nice way of saying 'what the ******** is up with you, dude'.

Juniper blinked at Liam. Pretty sure that just made it worse. she thought to herself, her eyes not leaving him.

"Uh...Well I suppose." She offered a smile none-the-less. Hell, maybe she was a bit nuts right now? After all she'd been working some long hours to keep herself a float. Perhaps it was time that she take some time off. A day maybe to make sure she wasn't coming down with something. An ear infection maybe?

Did ear infections make people sound echoey?

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to pry. Was just curious is all." She tried to make amends and maybe back herself out of the hole she must have started digging with Liam. After all, most customers didn't want workers prying into their lives. Not unless the customer was feeling chatty, then the workers would hear all of the nitty gritty details they'd not be interested in or want to hear.

"I mean, if you're not sick or anything it's fine. I was just curious is all. And....yea." She heaved a sigh.

"Anyway, the pants. Was your size there? If not I can go check the back for you?"

Did he really just? No he...yep. He definitely just said Yolo.

Juniper couldn't keep a straight face, try as she might. As confused and hesitant she was about the timbre and quality of his voice a smile broke out on her face and she shook her head.

"I think the salmon will look good on you. Rock it!"

She felt a bit calmer now that Liam had managed to break through her uncertainty and calm her nerves some. As he flicked through the rack for his size, she tilted her head slightly to watch him. Her curiosity bubbling up like an untended to pot.

"Alright. So, do you get asked about your voice often? I mean, I don't remember noticing it before, but it definitely is...strange." She paused, realizing what she said, she back pedaled. After all, she didn't want to piss off a customer. "I mean, not strange, but uh, different!"

Way to go Jun.

Liam look gave Juniper pause. It was an odd thing to be given a calculating look by a customer. Why such a change? Had she said something she shouldn't have? Maybe she had actually insulted him.

Juniper opened her mouth, to utter an apology when he asked his first question. Strange things? She found herself automatically trying to think back to anything odd happening to her in particular.

But it was his second question that caused her eyes to widen slightly. "Yes." She said softly, her head tilting slightly as she took a tentative step backwards. "I mean, about the rain." She hadn't noticed anything terrible peculiar happen to her. Well, unless you counted the fact that there seemed to be more cats around her, but that wasn't a bit deal. After all, it's not odd to see a large population of cats around a town, right?

"How did you..." She trailed off, eyes narrowed in her own calculating look.

Spoilers? About what?

Juniper was well confused now. How the hell did Liam know about her dreams, and what was going on that he had asked about strange occurrances? And why wasn't he telling her about it?

Maybe she was best not asking.

"Yea. I can get you a room." She reached for the keys that dangled on the lanyard around her neck and led the way to the fitting room. Walking in she knocked on a door to make sure it was empty before slipping her key in, unlocking it and holding it open for Liam.

"Do you need anything else?"
