* ~:: THE GUILD-LYPIC POSTING GAMES - 2016 ::~ *
(A Final Showdown for Achievement Point Supremacy!)

It has all come down to this...a long, seven months worth of contests, giveaways, and surprises...the standings between the many nations/posters within this Guild have been neck-and-neck for months now, and it all comes to a head in this, the FIRST MAYBE-NOT-BUT-POSSIBLY-ANNUAL GUILD-LYMPIC GAMES!

The rules are simple...over the course of the next [7 Days] there will be [7 Events/Categories] posted in which each of you may compete in order to earn a chance at winning the Gold Medal [50 AP], Silver Medal [25 AP], or the Bronze Medal [10 AP] to bolster your Achievement Point Total for the entire contest! To win a Medal and the corresponding points, you will make one post per-category here which follows the rules of each event...and the best post in each 'Event' will receive the Gold!

...For example...

If the 'Event' is, "Make the Funniest Post in this Forum"...

...then you have one chance to make a post in this forum that is funnier than the rest! These entries will be judged totally-somewhat-impartially by Arena Emperor, and at the end of the Event, they will be ranked...and the winners will receive their Medals and Prizes!

There are, again, 7 Events in all...so you could conceivably earn up to 350 AP...enough to win the whole AP count even if you have nothing!

...

Now then, without any further ado...let the Games Begin!

Day 1 - Event 1
Pandering!

For Day 1, your mission is to write a post which plainly panders to the entertainment, amusement, ego, or vices of your Captain, Arena Emperor! You will be judged on how well you entertain him, how pleased he is with what he is reading, AND how genuine OR disingenuous your post sounds as he reads it. Judging for this topic is entirely subjective to his whims, so be forewarned!

As this topic can span ANY genre that you feel might entertain or bemuse or flatter him, it is considered a relatively easy first contest to break you into the swing of the GUILD-LYMPIC GAMES!

...You may begin making your posts right away! Best of luck to all the competitors, and may the best man (that isn't me) win!

Entry Title: Fishing Fun

This was it....His chance to shine out over Kou. Kyou glanced over the floodplains with sharp eyes, giving a small, but toothy grin as he scoured the water for his target....

"There..!" he called, starting to dive into the water with a surprisingly agile leap, splashing the nearby floodplains, and the two standing nearby.

"I thought for sure cats hated water." Kyonko's voice called out, watching as her....primal brother went to work

"Hahaha..Well, Tiger Fact." said brother called, coming up form the water with a fish in hand. "Tigers are actually great swimmers! And since this water is nearly crystal clear! It'll be a cinch to get up dinner in no time!"

"I still say we should have looked for Nito's. At least then we'd know we're getting a meal."

"Hey hey! I can catch just as many fish as anyone can!" the fierce twin called, starting to dive again..and again...Fish starting to gather up at the side of the floodplains. It was a simple process...He went down, he caught the fish in his Claws hands, and then brought them above for gutting, and scaling. Soon enough, they'd have a whole smorgasbord of Aquarian delights waiting for them...When he saw it.
A Giant fish. His toothy grin found it's way to his face once again..Before he surfaced....and went down one last time....

There was a struggle. His knives barely made an impact on the beast, and his own techniques weren't as polished at hunting larger prey as he wanted them to be...Yet..
'I won't give up!' he told himself, starting to try to steer it towards the shore. If he could force it up, and out...Then...

'Kou's gonna be shocked at this.' he thought as he felt his breath starting to get short...But, by some miracle, the fish started following his lead. The boy took advantage of the giant fish's moment of weakness, digging into it's back, and wrapping around it.

'You're mine!' he called, the knives digging in, as he steered it into the shore...and with a resounding LEAP, the fish landed on the shore....Prompting him to back off of it for a few moments.
"Young Baihu!" he called out, the feline demon emerging from a tube on command...and letting out a surge of electricity. The Fish sparked, and shook..before it finally went still...and he turned towards his siblings with a confident grin.

"Howdya like that?" he called with a grin. 'I think that's better than anything we can get at Nito's."

"I...somehow doubt that's the most ridiculous thing Uncle Nito has seen."

'I dunno...I don't know if Uncle Nito ever mentioned reeling in a girl with his fish."

"A...wait, what?" the boy called, snapping around to see a..peculiar girl, already starting to prepare the large fish.

"Hungry?" she called in an earnest, if strange manner. "These things make for great fish sticks.."

"What?!"

"...Are you still sure we're in the right timeline now, Kyou?"

"All right, I think it's time we settled this thing once and for all."

User Image

"Um... s-settle what, Soji-kun?"

User Image

"Our relationship. Believe it or not, there are some people who are still under the impression that this hasn't been made crystal clear. I don't know why this is so difficult for them, but I REFUSE to end up like Rednal, waffling around and totally unable to make up his mind. Or worse, like Zeo."

User Image

"Hold it right there, senpai! I think you're making a big mistake!"

User Image

"...?"

User Image

"What's a relationship without some drama to keep it interesting? Trust me, I know how people think. Once you give them the goods, it'll be over and done with, and they'll move on to something else. You have to keep them interested by showing development, but never entirely resolving it and just giving them everything they want."

User Image

"Wait, are you talking about swimsuit magazines or soap operas?"

User Image

"Yes."

User Image

"Rise, I think a little stability in life is a good thing. There are always new things to explore, and even I would have a hard time with a major relationship drama AND saving the world at the same time."

User Image

"YOU'RE on my side, right, Yukiko?"

User Image

"What? Why?"

"What if he doesn't pick you? What you need is more time to show him your girlish charm and help him settle on a decision!"

"I'm sorry, Soji-kun... but you know, it's not like relationship drama has to be bad drama."

User Image

".............."

User Image

"Think of it as a chance to cool down and relax when you're not saving the world! I mean, it's a good excuse to go on a few dates, right?"

User Image

"Exactly! I mean, our relationship is important, but dating a girl and dating a girl are two completely different things... and there's no reason to rush our relationship. Let's just leave it as it is for now... and once things have settled down, then we can resolve it."

Suddenly, the room was filled with a loud bang, as the wall cracked and shards of cement went flying about the room. In strolled the purveyor of pandering, the prince of pragmatic begging, the positively prodigious pencil-pushing pack master of the prodigal sycophants...basically, the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever would be. Even at kissing-up. "Ahem...hey man, do you want to watch Inception? Lets watch Inception." That's when you realized. The sound you heard wasn't a wall breaking...it was the fourth wall being kicked straight down. Hellz yes.

Romance!

For Day 2, your mission is to write a post which reflects the most romantic moment, story, or scene that you can conjure up from deep within your imagination! Who you choose, where it happens, and the events of the romantic story are up to you! However know that points may deducted if your story in any way offends or upsets the people of the Guild around you.

Judging will be based on how romantic the post is, how believable the couple in the post is, originality, and the number of times you make the judge say 'Squeeeeeee!" in the process.

Entry Title: One romantic moment

On one particularly nice Sunday afternoon, most were out enjoying the surprisingly good weather that the day had to offer, but not Hitomi: she was simply sprawled out on the living room floor while comfortably hugging a pillow. She was bored, something she wasn’t expecting to be when her grandmother told her she would have the house to herself for the next couple of days.

“Guess I’ll summon Yogami…” Hitomi said plainly as she lazily reached for her phone, clearly desperate if she was willing stoop to summoning the devil just for some company; especially considering that he pissed her off every time they ‘chatted’. But it was either him or enjoy a house with no TV.

“You called~?” The demon practically sang after being kindly summoned.

“Mm, I’m bored.” She replied as she started weakly kicking the air like some sort of child.

“T-that’s it? No insults? No demands? Just an ‘I’m bored’?” Yogami commented in an almost dejected tone as he looked down at the girl with an annoyed glare - he may have been demoted to some teenage girl’s fighting partner, but that didn’t mean he was some sort of entertainment button she could press at any time.

“Mm.”

Why the little… One of Yogami’s eyebrows twitched in annoyance. “You know,” He started as he sat down at the nearby table, “I don’t mind being summoned if you want to talk, but don’t you think you should go play with a friend or something instead if you’re bored?” Come to think of it, he’s never seen a friend of hers or ever heard her talk about one before... Uh oh...

“T-they’re all doin’ stuff…” The lass responded as she quickly sat up and peered at the demon over the pillow she was now clutching.

s**t. The dark being could tell right away that she was lying from the way she reacted. “O-oh! I see, well then I guess it’s up to me! Hahaha…”

“I-I have a ton of friends!!” Hitomi proclaimed as she stood up and made her way over to the fiend, preparing the cushion she had on hand for battle.

“I-I never said you didn’t!”

“SHUT UP!” The martial artist began insufficiently beating the man to a marshmallow with the pillow as wildly as a teenage girl could; all while blushing madly in the process. Despite taking out her frustration and embarrassment on him to the point where she was breathing heavy, however, she wasn’t done with him. “TOMORROW I’M GOING TO SHOW YOU THAT I HAVE FRIENDS!” Hitomi declared, pointing a finger at him within inches of his face, “SO PREPARE YOURSELF!” With that, she then promptly grabbed her phone and de-summoned Yogami before he could get a word in edgewise

-----------

After training and bathing, Hitomi summoned Yogami the next morning in the main hallway, and it was evident from her expression that she was still pissed about the incident yesterday. “Come to the school gates after school ends,” She said rather plainly, “Bye,” The girl then suddenly turned, whipping her short ponytail in a dramatic fashion as she headed to the front door to leave.

“W-Wait! I’m lost.” Yogami replied, being true to his words: he knew where the school was and when classes ended, but that wasn’t what he was questioning, “Why did you summon me? If you wanted to see me after school couldn’t you have just wait till then?”

Hitomi let out a deep sigh before stopping to explain, “Because It’ll be awkward to separate myself from my friends to summon you, idiot. It’ll be more natural if you came to school like a normal person.” With that, she opened the door and walked through the portal before slamming it shut.

Hitomi then walked to school in a huff, however, along the way she tried tucking her feelings inside and faking a pleasant mood. She had but one goal today: to make friends! She talked a big game back with Yogami, but truth be told she had no friends at school… Or in general… But how hard could it be to make a couple? Apparently a lot. Every opportunity she had ended up failing miserably. For example: a girl who sat next to her dropped an eraser, so Hitomi picked it up for her before handing it back with a smile, but was she thankful? No! Or when she tried joining a conversation with a bunch of girly girls; she even put on a smile, but they looked absolutely terrified! Even her plan to join a group at lunch didn’t pan out when every student in the classroom left for some mysterious reason…

The day was going by fast, and Hitomi came to the realization that the students in her class were not an option. She had one last sure fire plan to make at least one friend by the end of the day though: bake a whole bunch of cookies in home ec class and give them to random people! Someone had to feel obligated enough to hang out with her afterwards. It had to work! But it didn’t. Every time she tried giving out the cookies with a free service smile they would either runaway immediately, or take a bite out of the damn treats and then runaway (towards a bathroom).

At the end of the day, Hitomi was sitting by herself on the steps outside of the shoe locker room - no student was left in the whole school, even the ones that usually stayed behind left because of a rumor of some scary girl cursing people with a demon smile or something… To make matters worse, it was raining, and she didn’t bring an umbrella… “Idiot…” The lass said softly as she buried her head into her knees. She felt completely defeated.

“What are you doing?” A familiar voice cooed from in front of the girl.

“Yogami…” Hitomi began softly, lifting her head up to view the man, “I…”

“Come on, we’re going home.” He said nonchalantly as he walked up and held the umbrella he was carrying over Hitomi’s head, wearing what seemed to be an endearing smile.

“B-but...My friends”

“Hm? Oh, they probably went home because of the rain, right?”

“Y-yeah…” Hitomi said as she wiped her sleeve across her face, letting out a very soft sniffle before revealing a much happier expression. “Let’s go!” She said, jumping to her feet and following close behind the other to stay dry under the umbrella. However, as they walked through the downpour she timidly reached out her hand to grab the other's sleeve, only to have the man grab her hand confidently instead.

Maybe, just maybe she didn't need a ton of friends if Yogami was around...

Strong-Style!

For Day 3, your mission is to create a post that includes the absolute most epic, memorable, and just plain awesome fight scene that you can possibly create! I want to feel the impact in my bones, hear the blood splattering on the battlefield, smell the dust and the carnage in the air! What is important is that he fight is awesome, entertaining, and more!

Judging will be based on how awesome the fight is, how badass the characters in it look, the best moment of the fight, and whether or not the outcome of the fight severely offends me...or anyone else...with how inaccurate or biased it might be. Be creative! Almost anything goes, but powers and characters should generally be contained to things we could or would find in the Guild!

Entry Title: Surprise!

Quote:
She had been planning this for months. She had little sketches pinned to her corkboard beside her bed with ideas on presents and decorations, and little colorful post-it notes reminding her of small details that she would have forgotten otherwise. People to invite to the party... Sai's favorite cake flavor -that one had been difficult to get. Imagine having to ask these questions without sounding suspicious! Anyway! In the end, she found out that he didn't have any preferences- his favorite color or things he might or might not like for a present. She had written schedules, called different people, practiced her cooking and baking, watched those silly shows and read the magazines with tips about 'How to give your boyfriend a great surprise for his birthday!' (not that those had been any help, really... the magazine had really weird ideas for a surprise, all of them that made her blush and short-circuit). And now...Suzu was satisfied with her masterpiece.

"Hey Suzu... good job." The petite brunette turned around to face the messy haired monk giving her a thumbs up, and she beamed at him proudly. "Thanks, Kosuke! I am sure he will love this!" She hopped in her place, before ushering him behind the couch or somewhere else to hide along with all the others. Or well... all the others were really just Niiya, Min-Jee, Kiri ojii san and Denmark. It...really was a small party, but... they were her friends, and they were Sai's friends! And she knew they cared for him just as she did! W-well... maybe not in the exact same way, but... yeah! "Now, now! Hide! I will go get Sai!"

A few hours earlier, Suzume had called him, asking him to meet in the park near his apartment complex. She hadn't given any specific or special reason, but there was an overjoyed chirp to her tone. More than usual, that was. He hadn't questioned it, much to the girl's relief, and now he waited beside a tree in the established place and time, his arms crossed. The city of Oshu was gray and dark, and it threatened on raining. That wasn't new, but he had learned to see a little light in the otherwise monochromatic city.

"Saaaaaaaaai! Sooooorry I am late!"

And there it was. The girl beamed brightly, almost seemed to have a glow of her own as she ran to meet him, almost tripping in the way. The tiniest of smiles curled at the corner of his lips, walking the last few steps to reach her. "Suzume...be careful." There was a bright pink on her cheeks, her chocolate eyes bright and wide, and her smile was...

"I got...a little distracted with...uh... home...work?" the girl answered with a sheepish grin, and Sai arched an eyebrow at that. "But anyway! I am here now! And it's about to rain! So we should get going!" She took his hand, and he tightened the grip, loving how her smile seemed to glow even brighter with that small gesture.

"Lead the way then, Suzume."

And she did.

When they stopped in front of his door, Sai looked at her and she looked back at him, suddenly nervous. "I just thought...we could spend some little time here? Watch a movie? Get some pudding?" He nodded, and Suzume giggled. She opened the door, and she didn't hear the sigh that escaped his lips...

"Surprise!"

... ...

It had been a good party, Suzu nodded to herself as she helped clean up the colored little confetti, and balloons from the floor after everyone had left. She picked up the discarded and empty 'party cups' and 'party plates' with remaining cake and shoved them into the garbage bag before sighing and dropping on the couch with a giggle. It was late, but she had had fun. The party had been a success! At least it looked like that to her. The guys had had fun, and Sai looked happy. He didn't show it much, and when Kosuke teased him about this and that, he had scowled and pushed him aside, but... she could see that he had been enjoying himself. The brunette shifted on the couch, seeing him finishing tidying up the counter before he walked up to her and sat on the couch beside her. Suzu scooted closer, nuzzling against him with a little smile on her lips. "Sooooo... what do you think? Were you surprised?" she giggled, her head tilting to look at his crimson eye.

"Suzume... you had been talking about my birthday and secret parties all week."

Again, she giggled, pouting playfully. "Weeeeell...I guess I was a little too excited. But! You have to admit it was fun." His gaze softened, and Suzu felt her heart melting.

"It...was. Thank you, Suzume."

She smiled and hugged him tightly, before she shifted, almost jumping out of the couch with a little 'Oh!'. "I almost forgot! I have a present for you." She took a little box decorated with colorful ribbons and paper in her hands and hopped back next to him, giving the present to him. "Open it! Open it!"

"It took my a very long while to think what I wanted to give you. I asked for lots of advice, but in the end... I decided to just follow my hunch." He looked back to her expectant gaze and back to the little box, opening it slowly. "I did it myself." the girl added, and the pride was obvious in her voice. It really had taken her a long time to make that...she had spent so many nights working on it...and she was really proud of her little present.

"Suzume..." His hand brushed her cheek and she found herself leaning against the touch, smiling softly. His gaze was intense and warm, and her stomach flipped as he closed the distance between them, their lips meeting for a gentle kiss. Her eyes remained close as he leaned back, a silly smile on her lips and her cheeks bright red. Chestnut orbs fluttered opened, and she giggled sheepishly. Her forehead pressed against his and she whispered...only for him to hear.

"Happy Birthday, Sai."

"No!"

It was extremely annoying having to go through this every single day, but she just wouldn't understand! Sera was sick and tired of it...but the other female seemed to be intent on making her life impossible.

"We talked about this..." The pinkette continued, her hands on her hips and her foot tapping on the concrete floor. Her clean clothes were thrown all around her room in a messy heap, almost as if someone had been rummaging through her things in search of something in particular. Her pillow was on the floor, her bedsheets a ball carelessly thrown in the corner. And the responsible for it sitting on her bed insolently. Her eyes stared back at the pinkette without any sense of guilt, and Sera could almost, almost see a bit of satisfaction on those big, pretty orbs.

"You can't just go on a tantrum and destroy my room because you felt like it!" The intruder would just look at her with a boring expression, not even caring enough to say anything. She just kept looking pretty, with that shiny hair, and big, cute eyes, and little pink nose, and always, always looking down at her. Sera felt like she could scream in that moment. "Aren't you gonna say anything?! Are you going to torment me like this forever? HUH!"

"... ... Mrrrwooooooow."

"No need to raise your voice like that!"

"...Mew?"

"Sweet-talking won't work either. Look... I know you love him, but you have to understand that he's my boyfriend, and you will have to get used to me being in the picture! You can't act all jealous every time we are alone together and take it out on me."

She got a bored look in return. Ser Pounce's tail swished lazily, and the cat, bored with the one-sided conversation, jumped out of the bed, elegantly walking towards the door, satisfied with the job done.

Just then, a head of brown locks and soft green eyes poked his head inside the room, and Sera let out a huff.

"Koichi! Your cat-"

But Ser Pounce had charmed her way up to his shoulder, nuzzling into his cheek, and the pinkette swore seeing the damn feline turning to look at her with a challenging look that just said 'He will always like me better.'

Sera narrowed her eyes, but Koichi's chuckle took her attention away from the challenge. "It's good to see you two getting along." he said.

Fine.

He was worth it.

Day 4 - Event 4
Kings of Comedy

For Day 4, you will be tasked with writing a post or event that can be considered funny, hilarious, amusing, or any other synonym for funny that you can think of! Ridiculous situations, conversations that stray off into amusing diversions, and over-the-top Zeoisms are all welcome as you vie to be the person who creates the most gut-busting entry in the entire contest!

Judging will be based on how hard you make the judge laugh, how interesting and original your comedic post is, and the variety of the laughs that you can elicit in your single post! You may lose some points if you outright offend without also making laugh, but as it stands, no characters or topics are entirely off-limits! But you may only use characters, locations, and themes from within the Guild, naturally.

...You may begin making your posts right away! Best of luck to all the competitors, and may the best man (that isn't me) win!

>You know he dead.jpg

>We're all Atma users, so the winner doesn't hesitate to feast on his foe

>Secretary holds up hand

>"So basically... 6 is afraid of 7, because 7 ate 9?"

>Embarrassed nod.jpg

>Secretary falls over laughing

>Good news is Secretary agrees to transfer me to another division

>Bad news is that new division is under new Captain, who was brought in because they were strong, but not trained in controlling their power yet...

Day 5 - Event 5
Rivals

For Day 5, your very unique task is to write a post, story, or entry which reflects upon the rivalry between two characters of your choice in the Guild and the nature, events, and circumstances of said rivalry that make it compelling and entertaining! Are they rivals in love? Rivals in combat? Rivals but only one person is aware of the rivalry? Or rivals in every sense of the word? It doesn't matter, so long as they CAN be considered rivals! The genre of the stories may vary between comedy, combat, drama, or anything of the like, so long as the core story revolves around the rivals of your choice!

Judging will be based on how well you convince the judge that the duo are, indeed, rivals (at least in the mind of ONE of the two rivals)...reflect the history and importance of this rivalry to the judge in your story...how entertaining your story is...how compelling the rivalry between your chosen characters actually is...and of course, how well the elements of story, character, rivalry, etc. are blended together as you tell your tale! You may choose any characters you wish so long as they are in the Guild, and put them in any situation of your choosing so long as it's in the Guild!

...You may begin making your posts right away! Best of luck to all the competitors, and may the best man (that isn't me) win!

Event Entry Format

Gaia Name: Rednal
Character Name: Kisa
Event: Strong-Style
Entry Title: The Final Boss

For just a moment, the air was still - then an inferno roared down from above, melting straight through the barricades that the police had thrown up in a desperate effort to stop the assault of the oncoming figure. Like everything else they'd tried, it accomplished nothing other than slowing down the target - and the humans hiding behind them screamed as the flesh was scorched from their bones.

Thirty feet away, Kyouji Kuzunoha winced slightly. She regretted their deaths, but there wasn't anything she could do about it... except prevent any more deaths from this rampaging demon. Her fingers toyed with her Tubes for just a moment before she darted out to confront the demon, silvery tools in hand.

"Hua Po! Tam Lin!" she called, snapping their caps open. In a flash of green light, the two well-trained demons appeared and took up positions on either side of her as she looked at the demon.

It was... smaller than she'd expected.

"You've had your fun, demon, but if you don't stop on your own... then on the name of Kyouji Kuzunoha, I will make you stop." she said. Still, recognition flickered in the back of her mind... why was this familiar? Shoot, if she could just place it...

"GRAAAAAAAAAAH!" the tiny demon's voice was far stronger than anyone would have expected from such a small thing, and she followed it up by exhaling a massive stream of ice. Kyouji flipped backwards as the attack came in, completely dodging it even as Tam Lin raised his sphere to defend. The Hua Po wasn't quite so lucky, and let out a shriek as she vanished back into magnetite.

"Guess we're doing this the hard way..." Kyouji muttered, snapping another Tube open. "Futsunushi!" At her command, the god of swords appeared, and raised an interested eye at the demon his master had chosen to fight. "Bring her down!" the Kuzunoha ordered. Tam Lin was the first to respond to her commands, and a roar of electricity came off the end of his spear as he sent a Ziodyne right into the little demoness' body. Futsunushi followed a moment later, sending out an even more powerful wave of energy that struck the target dead-center and quite literally sent her flying backwards.

Before their very eyes, though, they could see the wounds rapidly starting to heal... which explained why nobody had been able to take her down. The little demoness let out another cry a moment later.

"BEAST FORM!" she bellowed - and her body abruptly multiplied in size. Her physical body was the most obvious change, going in seconds from that of a preteen child to a fully grown adult - but it wasn't the only change. Enormous black horns erupted out of her forehead, even as heavy pauldrons covered her shoulder and the armor she was wearing grew to a bulkier form. Before Kyouji could even react, the demoness had charged forward and grabbed Tam Lin by one of his legs. Lifting him clear off of the ground, she whipped him around and slammed him head-first into the pavement before hurling him at Futsunushi. If he hadn't had such good resistance to physical blows, it might not have been so easy to withstand her attack.

"Don't let up!" Kyouji snapped - and both Tam Lin and Futsunushi took powerful stances as they began to charge their energy, intending to hit the target as hard as they could. It was too little and too late, though - the demoness opened her mouth again, and before the warriors could finish gathering their power, a stream of almighty energy erupted out of her mouth and poured over the area. Tam Lin's body shattered for just a moment before his resurrection spell kicked in, bringing him back to full strength... but unfortunately bereft of the charge he'd been building. Futsunushi grunted a moment later, injured but alive, and hurled another blast of Primal Force into the target's body.

Unfortunately, now that more damage was being done, Kyouji could see that physical attacks weren't doing much. Scowling, she snapped her tubes open and recalled the warriors, flipping out another pair of demons instead. "Leanan Sidhe! Ishtar!" she called. As the first appeared, she waved one hand, and a burst of confusing energy shot across the battlefield - only to break against the target's body. Ishtar clenched one hand a moment later, summoning up her divine power - and lightning roared down from the heavens, ripping across the battlefield and into their foe.

With an angry cry, the berserk demon charged forward, spearing Leanan Sidhe right through the chest with her enormous horns. Kyouji spat out a curse, even as Ishtar continued to call divine retribution on the target. When the barrage finally finished, the massive body let off no small amount of steam as it bent forward slightly. Even after all this, it was continuing to heal at a terrifyingly rapid pace - easily among the highest Kyouji had ever seen, and she'd seen a lot of hard-to-kill foes in her time.

"Grr... hrr... ABOMINATION FORM!" the target howled - and Kyouji's eyes widened as the target changed again, lengthening into a bestial form. Fangs erupted from her mouth, and the armor continued to grow and cover her body even as three tails burst out from behind. Dark energy glittered around her fingers a moment later, just a second before a beam of darkness shot across the battlefield and crashed into Ishtar. It was too much for the summoned spirit to handle, and Kyouji frowned again.

...It was time to start taking this battle seriously.

"Macha! Sandalphon!" she cried, calling forth two of her strongest summons. The glittering angel and the spirit of roses stood beside her, undaunted by the fearsome power the demoness had displayed. Macha was the first to act, raising one hand and sending a wave of Debilitation into the raging demon. Sandalphon followed with a burst of light, but that broke against the demoness and looked no more effective than the attempt at an ailment had been.

"Kill... EVERYONE!" the demoness howled, sending out another blast of darkness from her fingers. Sandalphon took the blow this time, and grunted as the energy washed over him, but he was no weakling - and he managed to push through it with pure power.

"WHY!? What's driving you to these lengths!?" Kyouji asked as Macha raised her hands and sent a barrage of almighty energy crashing into the bestial demoness. Sandalphon followed a moment later, striking so hard with his sword that the demoness crashed through two walls and came out the other side of the building. She shot back to the fight a moment later, looking like little more than a blur as she zig-zagged around the battlefield and crashed into Macha - who, unlike Sandalphon, was actually vulnerable to physical blows. Kyouji's most beloved demon groaned in pain, and Kyouji couldn't quite suppress a pang of empathy for her companion.

"Lord... Seo..." the target growled - and the memories came flooding back. That's right, there had been a report about a little demon the Taihaku demon clan had rescued, but none of it had predicted this. "If all of you hadn't... pushed him so much... he might still be alive! YOU TOOK LORD SEO FROM ME, SO I'M GOING TO TAKE EVERYTHING FROM YOU!" Fina's bestial hands grabbed onto Macha's neck, and almighty energy surged through her body and out of her throat as she poured all the power she could onto Kyouji's prized demon. The power overflowed, moving across the battlefield to strike both Sandalphon and Kyouji as well.

Of course, the favored companion of a Kuzunoha was no weakling - and even after all of that, Macha endured... and struck back, hitting the bestial body over and over again. Sandalphon crashed into Fina, knocking her off of his companion with a powerful blow, and still the demoness continued to heal. Her rate of regeneration was insane, and Kyouji paled slightly as Fina sent a surge of healing energy through herself, fixing all of her wounds. Admittedly, that spell was a useful one, but for an enemy to be using it at a time like this...

"These people had nothing to do with that! Don't blame them for the actions of others!" she called, desperately hoping this demoness could be convinced to see reason. She didn't really want to have to kill her, but... she was increasingly worried there might be no other choice. With a snap of her wrist, she recalled Macha, bringing back Futsunushi (who was better position to endure anything Fina tossed out).

"It's your whole filthy society! Lord Seo was the greatest, and I can't forgive any of you for taking him away from me!"

That settled it, then - she was completely mad and unwilling to listen to reason. Even as her own demons launched a renewed assault, though, a few more lights could be seen from above... and two white-haired figures with fox ears landed on the ground next to Kyouji. The male laughed awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head.

"I, ah, I'm sorry for the mess our Fina is causing. She's just a child, you see, and very distraught..."

"Child or not, I can't allow her to hurt innocent people." Kyouji answered, looking Honto Teki-Taihaku straight in the eyes. "Are you going to make yourself useful or not?"

"Please rest assured - stopping her is our intention as well." Shiranui said, bowing slightly. She raised one hand a moment later and lightly flicked it - what followed was an almost apocalyptic blast of flames that rushed over Fina's body, and it was followed by a similarly-powerful blast of wind from Honto. Even Fina's regeneration couldn't keep up with that kind of damage so easily, and for the first time, Kyouji felt like they were actually making headway. Well... gift horses, mouths, not looking in same.

(Said nobody who'd actually been given a gift horse, but still.)

Another blast of almighty energy rippled through the battlefield a moment later, striking all of Fina's foes and blowing them backwards. Sandalphon wasn't quite able to endure that blow, but Futsunushi was still alive and kicking, if looking rather badly hurt at this point.

"Settle down, you stupid girl!" Honto cried, summoning a fist of divine power and bringing it straight down on Fina's head. "This isn't going to help anybody!"

"If you're... protecting them... then you're a traitor!" Fina shrieked, clutching her head. Shiranui didn't waste the opportunity, and another wave of devastating fire poured over Fina's body.

"Fina, if you keep on like this, I'm going to grow upset." Shiranui said firmly... and for just a moment, Fina paused. Even now, that was a threat worth taking seriously... but a moment later, her claws began to gouge deep grooves in the asphalt beneath her, and she shot forward to tackle Honto. A small drop began to form in his hand even as she began to viciously shake her head (and him with it) back and forth.

Trust in her regenerative powers may have been misplaced, though - even as Honto charged his magic, Shiranui let out a loud howl that parted the clouds above to reveal the moon, and its light shined down to energize her. A moment later, the two demons attacked with everything they had - Shiranui's Meltdown boosted by the power of her Moon Call, and the Leviathan's Great Tide from Honto, which he launched straight into Fina's mouth to blast her from the inside. Futsunushi didn't miss the timing, and came in behind the other two attacks to strike with a charged Primal Force of his own. Fina's elongated body went tumbling backwards, freeing Honto as she crashed and rolled several times.

For just a moment, Kyouji thought she was down for the count - then Fina's body began to rapidly heal all of its injuries, and in moments, she looked like she hadn't even been hit. Instead of continuing the assault, though, her body just tensed slightly... then morphed back into her childlike form.

"Hic... hic... WAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Tears began pouring down Fina's face, and the tension went out of Shiranui's body as well as she bustled over and picked Fina up. "L-Lord Seo... Lord Seo was..."

"I'm- *COUGH COUGH* not dead yet!" A tall figure wrapped in enough bandages to make a mummy jealous staggered out of the shadows, held aloft mostly by a slender but powerful-looking blade. "Ah, Lady Kyouji, hello. I'm *HACK* terribly sorry for my subordinate's rampage. I believe she was under the impression that I, ah, had been killed by some assassins."

"The b-b-blood..." Fina stammered out.

"That was mine, and I may have, um, fallen unconscious afterwards, it may have looked like someone killed me... come on, Fina, I'm not going to leave you alone quite yet." Her body had reverted, but Fina was nearly as fast as before as she darted across the area and tackled Seo, wrapping her small arms around him in a tight, fierce blood. Seo coughed out another pint or so of blood, straining to keep a smile on his face despite the tightness of her grip. "Fina... strength... seriously, loosen up or I really will die..." her grip eased, and Kyouji just sighed heavily as the lord of the Taihaku clan began to escort his little companion away. Shiranui went with them - Honto, on the other hand, just looked up at the Kuzunoha.

"...What?"

"You're pretty lucky, you know. That wasn't even her final form. I know you're one of the Great Summoners and all, and you're used to commanding demons like us... but don't underestimate us. We are the spirits of this world, and even for people like you, we won't knuckle under so easily." The trickster god tipped his head slightly, then stepped into the shadows and vanished, leaving Kyouji alone with the devastation of the battle and the thoughts inside her mind.

Quietly, Kyouji slid the blades she'd hidden within her sleeves back into their sleeves. It was... nice... that she hadn't actually had to kill a child tonight... and she could only hope they'd never force her to in the future.

Day 6 - Event 6
Alternate Universe

For Day 6, your very unique task is to write a post, story, or entry in which you use characters from this Guild and this Universe, and transport them into a completely different setting/universe, while still maintaining the spirit and core of what makes them who they are! Whether you transport them to another time, another country, another world, you must use characters from this Guild and write a story of ANY variety that you like, in this entirely new setting! Bonds, friendships, relationships may be whatever you wish in this setting, but again, they must stay true to the principles of said character.

Judging will be based on creativity both of the characters you choose, the world that you transplant them into, and how well you integrate them into the world which you choose. The quality of the story will also be a big part, and of course, how well you capture the spirits of the Guild characters in this new world will matter as well. You may choose any characters from the Guild to use, and in this event, you are permitted to introduce characters from outside of this Guild's universe to help build your story! But you MUST include your main character (at least one, multiples encouraged) from the Guild!

...You may begin making your posts right away! Best of luck to all competitors, and may the best man (that isn't me) win!
