There were so many…unhappy things going on lately, and Cambria had decided that she just wanted a good day. She had patrolled with Adria the night before, and had used his phone to send a text to Enif, one of the other senshi that she had met at the first meeting that Caedus had called. She wanted some more friends besides just Malcolm to help her through everything, so she figured that this was a good place to start. The text had been short and sweet, saying who she was and why she was using Adria’s phone, asking the other senshi to meet her for lunch at one of the sandwich places around the city, stating that she would be dressed in a shirt with Twilight Sparkle on it…because unicorns.
She showed up ten minutes before it was time to meet the other girl, and sat at one of the outside tables, half heartedly looking over the menu, but using most of her attention to scan the people around, not wanting to miss Enif…or whatever her name was when she wasn’t powered up. She needed more friends, and she was pretty excited to get a friend who was actually a girl.

The text had been surprising, she'd had Adria in her phone but they didn't talk much, and she was more surprised to see it was another senshi contacting her! Curious, and maybe a little wary, she almost declined. Almost. Dongmei was always telling her she needed more friends, complaining about it really, and well... Her little sister wasn't wrong. So she replied in kind, she'd be glad to meet up with her and be there on time! Or so she hoped. She almost forgot to double check the address on her way out the next day. Hair pulled back to keep it off of her neck, what little there was to pull back, she was dressed in cut off shorts, an overly large pink tank top over a white sports bra and white and pink sneakers. The perfect clothing for a warm day. And for a moment she worried she was running late as she came up on the place, golden eyes searching out a Twilight Sparkle t-shirt. And then she caught sight of her outside and, slightly awkwardly, raised her arm in a wave in hopes of getting her attention. In a bit of a half-jog she made her way over. Hopefully she had the right woman in a Twilight Sparkle shirt.

When another girl approached, Cambria broke into a grin. “Hey! How are you? I’m guessing…you’re here to meet me, right?” She didn’t want to imply anything…if this wasn’t the right girl. Well…there was no use in not being friendly…right?
“I’m Cambria…It’s really nice to…see you again…I’m sorry that we haven’t really gotten to talk much, but I am very excited to be friends.”
There, that was covert enough to convey that yes, they had met, and yes it was time to exchange civilian names and become the very best of friends.
“This place seems pretty good, some of the sandwiches are making me really hungry, but I’ve been waiting on you to get here before ordering, so I’m glad you’re here.” Was she just nervous, or did she always talk this much? Ugh. This was not the time to second guess herself. Not the time at all.

"Well, you are wearing a Twilight Sparkle shirt and I am here to meet someone in a Twilight Sparkle shirt..." A slight hint of a grin as she was attempting to be funny. "That's okay, it's not like there wasn't a lot going on at the time. I'm Amarantha." A hand was held out, almost instinctively, and she smiled a little wider. "It's a pleasure to meet you Cambria." Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Hearing that the other had waited to order, she felt a little bad. "You could have ordered ahead of time! It wouldn't have hurt my feelings." Lightly, almost hesitantly, her hands moved to Cambria's shoulders and she moved to try and start leading her for the order counter. "Let's fix that, hm?" Mom override of guilt, go!

Cambria grinned. “Well, don’t worry Amarantha, next time I just might order without you.” She let the girl lead her up to the counter and felt a little excited. New friends…even if they were found from a strange situation…were something that she didn’t get to indulge in very often…and now that she had one and they were out to lunch…she didn’t plan on letting this go wrong in any way, shape or form.
“So…how have you been after…you know. Everything.” She tried to keep her voice soft and inconspicuous, but…it was a rough subject. The whole ordeal had been…a lot to take in. But…it had brought them together so, it couldn’t have been such a bad thing.
“We should do this more often. Hang out. All of us, I mean.” She grinned and stared up at the menu board, trying to figure out just what she wanted to eat.

"You are more then welcome to not have to wait on me," she replied, grin turning to something more easy and natural on her face. "Can't have a starving friend wasting away while waiting around, can we?" With them up near the menu and figuring out a meal, Amarantha glad for the option of chicken. Intently staring, trying to figure out what to order, she almost missed the thinly hinted question about senshi business. Almost. "It... wasn't easy, that's for sure. And I really don't know how to process everything still?" Perhaps her first introduction to the war shouldn't have been such an ordeal. "But it's still not the worst thing I've been through in my life so there may still be hope for me yet." A cheeky grin that didn't quite reach her eyes. "But... maybe it wouldn't be so bad to hang out with other people. You guys seem like you could be fun and I would like a chance to get to know you all better." Hands moved for her wallet, double checking the money inside. Confirming what she thought she smiled again and moved towards the registers. Maybe friends were what she needed right now, a new focus would definitely help in some ways. And it wouldn't hurt having a place to fit in for once. Another page in the new chapter of her life, that sounded nice. "Lunch is on me!"
