It was starting to get relatively late at the police department. Shun just needed to do a few more things before he could head on home for the night. He wasn't in any rush to leave, but he still didn't like to leave stuff undone if he could help it.

Meanwhile June had all but camped at her desk. There were a few cartons of takeout, only one of which had been opened and had a pair of chopsticks and a few fortune cookies sitting next to it.
Paperwork was spread across her desk and highlighters ran abound. Every once in a while she gave a small noise of approval or disapproval before typing something out on her computer and then returning to the paperwork.
At the moment she was filing and resorting some things Jeremiah had asked her to. After that she had to put them all into a digital format, then move them back to the physical archive.
In short, it would be a long night. She had broken out the caffeine in the form of coffee and was ready to use it.

Once he had finished that task, Shun gathered up his things and headed to the lockers to change out of his work clothes. After he was done with all of that, he began to make his way to the exit, passing up June's office along the way. He wasn't paying any of the other lingering folk as usual. The detective had a tendency to keep to himself most of the time anyway.

June was scribbling something in one of her books. "Okay, ten minutes for food and then-"
Her mouth gaped open.
"FOOD." She began that fussy panic you got into when everything fell apart. "Oh no Captain." She hadn't expected to work so late and hadn't made arrangements for him. He was probably ripping up the couch by now with how hungry he was. He was a good dog, but now she felt horrible.
But she also couldn't just leave. If she left now, this paperwork would take her until 5 in the morning instead of 4 like planned.
Shun walked by at just the right time. "Shun! Shun wait!"

While he had heard June's initial outburst of "FOOD", Shun paid that no mind. It wasn't until she started to call out his name, that he paused. With a sigh, he backed up a bit and glanced on into her office.
"What is it?" he asked dryly.
This wasn't about another form he had to turn in, was it?

"Can I ask you for a favor?" she said, already up and digging through her purse. "Please? It's really important it's my dog-"

Shun raised his brow at the mention of the corgi. He just leaned against the doorframe, waiting silently to hear what she was going to say.

She finally found what she was looking for, her keys and her wallet. From the wallet she produced a $20 bill and looked back at Shun.
"I have so much work," she said, looking back at the desk. It wasn't for lack of working either; June wasn't the procrastinating type. She literally just had that much work within the office. "And I can't get back to feed my dog and take him for a walk."
She held up the money and keys. "Can you go buy some food and put it in his bowl and take him for a little walk? I can give you instructions and everything."

Shun just sort of stared at June for a few moments, eyeing the keys briefly before looking at the woman.
"You do realize that I drive a motorcycle and not a car, right?"
Depending on how much dog food was needed... it might not be all that viable to lug that around on his bike.

June shook her head. "Oh no, my house is two blocks from here and you can just get one of the small bags to tide him over! He's a trooper."
She gave the frown only a dog owner and love could give. "I just feel bad I forgot him and I'm all he's got for food and stuff."

"I suppose I can do that," Shun answered with a hint of hesitation, "But you will owe me a favor."
He wasn't exactly like the townsfolk here who did nice things just to be nice.

There was a shrug at that.
"You will find out whenever I need a favor of you," he stated simply. Shun held his hand out, but he didn't move to take the actual keys and money until she was certain about this.

June did do things just to be nice.
"Okay," she said, pushing the keys and money again into his hand this time. "And you can keep whatever is left over from the twenty."
She frowned and got a little quiet. "Just don't make me do anything ... weird."

Shun took the things, then placed them into his pocket for the time being.
"What counts as weird?" he asked, raising his brow. It varied from person to person. He personally thought it was weird asking a co-worker to walk and feed one's dog for them.
