ignoring elephantsEven with what happened after Jaro had gotten drunk and thrown himself at Aodh and the next morning where they had talked about it, nothing really changed. Nothing changed except he felt terrible when he had to eventually leave. It was made only slightly better by Jaro having immediately started to line chat him. Still ... Aodh was not used to the feeling but ultimately he had no idea how to approach the other man. Any ideas he had just made him feel young and foolish. So instead they just hung out more often. It was one of those times, the two of them having settled out in the scrapyard - there was this ridiculous comfy set up that Jaro had - and he was tentatively offering out his sketchbook for the other to look at. "It's not that great," he told him, "and most of it is just ..." Aodh raised his wrist up, the bracelet there being shown off. It was jewelry or, strangely enough, armor and weaponry. There were also sketches of scenery with people. He had a talent for it, obviously, but his lack of direction showed with how the sketches started, stopped, and began again as something else entirely.

ignoring elephantsJaro was keenly aware what the tight gut wrenching feeling was. At least he thought it was, because he had a problem with his things and Aodh had become one of them. One of his people- his favorites- which meant to part from him was physically painful. Odd though, that it had happened without him claiming the other in some pointed way and even odder still that it hadn't gotten physical. That all was new. But Aodh wasn't gone. He was just around the corner, so harassment via phone would fill the time when he didn't have him there for work or hanging out. Nevermind that it almost felt like what other people would call dating but Jaro and Aodh seemed oblivious to it. In the yard on a warm day they could work in quiet, sometimes on real work and other times on personal projects. "Have you made any of these?" Jaro glanced up from pages of the book, with a rather impressed look, "Most of these jewelry pieces would be gorgeous if you followed through."

ignoring elephantsAodh looked sheepish, scratching a hand through his hair. "No, I've not. I just ..." A hand was waved towards the sketches. "I draw them, I haven't tried making anything. I mean, I've got some of the supplies at home to do it but they're packed up still." Mostly because he had issues with his parents and bothering him and just- Well, he was still at odds with wanting to do anything. Then the moment he realized that Jaro complimented them settled in and he went pink, a hand smoothing across his face. "I don't know that I'd be able to do them justice if I actually made them."

a night out"What?" Aodh looked over at Jaro like he was being ridiculous. Which he kind of was. "I'm not even dressed for it." They had just come out of X-men: Apocalypse and the blonde was not sure how they had gone from discussing just how awesome Magneto was to ... going out dancing.

a night out"How do you think your supposed to be dressed? You can get into most clubs by just taking your shirt off so I don't want to hear it." He wasn't technically wrong. With Aodh's abs he could get into pretty much anywhere if he tried. Clubs loved attractive people loitering in their place. Jaro hadn't drove, hadn't let Aodh either, and while it had been suspicious it generally just meant he planned on drinking at some point. "We can walk there. And it's not the kind of club you're thinking of.. don't worry."

ignoring elephants"You have to try. You aren't getting anywhere just sitting on them." Jaro wasn't one to talk but he didn't exactly realize it. "Bring your stuff here. You can use the equipment. Even if it's not for work." The auburn haired man scratched idly at one of his braids, "In my case I can't stop drawing claws since that friggin library-" He wasn't sure how he felt about being fixated on something like that, especially since Aodh had actually been injured. "I'm a weird dude." He chuckled.

a night out
Aodh went pink but thankfully it was dark and- no, it was not hidden at all. Instead he just gave Jaro another look. Mostly because he was realizing the fact that they had not drove at all and ...
"What?" he repeated again. "I mean, what kind of club could I be thinking about?" Aodhan blinked and shook his head. "Remember? Boring. I think I went out to a club maybe three times during college."
... and he was the designated driver!

ignoring elephants"... you're right, I just ..." Aodh made a hopeless gesture. "I don't know but if you don't mind, I can try making some of them." A hand was ran through his hair, a little shaky and nervous because he never really shared these things with others. The claw thing- That just had him chuckling and then, out of reflex, rubbing at his side. The injuries were mostly healed up at this point but the muscles still pulled and hurt on the occasion. "You are weird but I don't think it's bad that you're drawing them if something comes out of it." Jaro got a look. "... but if your muse turns out to be a werewolf or something, I think I'll have to disown you." He was totally teasing but then went quiet for a moment as he realized Jaro had flipped to a page that was of the other man. An intricate sketch of Jaro working on one of his little projects, a pocket watch.

a night out"Oh you know," Jaro gave him a non-plussed look, "The black light.. thud thud thud electronic dance-" It had it's appeal if you were looking to disappear but Jaro wasn't generally trying to do that- ever. "This club has food, drinks, and dancing." His stomach was actually growling because he hadn't bothered with dinner before the movie and movie food was disgusting. "We clearly need to remedy the club situation with you." He pointed to something with a red neon 'OPEN' sign halfway down the block between a laundromat and a hair salon.

ignoring elephants"You should always try. Power through-" Jaro nodded, "You never know, once you start you may really find some bit of inspiration with it." At mention of werewolves he wrinkled his nose, "Werewolves never appealed. I just imagine dog smell and it's a total turn off." The older man glanced down at the book again, seeing himself there, and smiled a bit, "Thankfully you got my good side." Wink.
