Quote: Initiative ❧ When you've gathered your participants, everyone starts the initiative phase. ❧ Each participant must roll 1d20 to decide what order to post in. Highest rolls will go first, lowest rolls last. Fight ❧ After everyone participating has rolled their initiative, the fight phase may begin. ❧ Players will take turns, according to the initiative order, rolling one or two d10 dice. ❧ The first die determines what kind of attack you make. Rolling 1-5 means you missed your attack. Rolling 6-9 means you landed your attack. Rolling a 10 means you made a critical hit. ❧ A successful attack does 1 HP of damage. A successful crit does 2 HP of damage. ❧ The second die indicates you choose to use a magic attack or use magic to amplify your physical attack. Rolling a 1-4 with this die means your spell failed. (If your normal attack landed, it will still do damage, but you will receive no magic benefit, and lose 1 MP anyways) ❧ Rolling 5 or 6 will amplify your damage by 1 point, and cost 2 MP. 7 or 8 by 2 points and cost 3 MP. 9 or 10 will add 3 points and cost 4 MP ❧ If you have more than one opponent, please specify who you are attacking. ❧ If you roll an attack and it hits, and roll a magic attack higher than your current mana, then you just use the highest magic attack you can afford. If your attack misses, you just ignore the magic roll. ❧ If you run out of mana, you can still keep battling but just roll the first dice, doing physical attacks. Victory ❧ Participating in a private battle will give you 1 shop point, whether you win or lose. ❧ Please make note in the thread topic that your battle is finished, and I or a manager will make a short OOC note of the participants receiving the shop points. The winner will have a chance to gain an item. The battle manager in charge will roll for what item they will receive, then the winner must roll 1d4 to see if they win that item. 1-2 is fail, 3-4 is win.  vs.

rolling for initiative
RP:
Titan loped through the woods towards the clearing ahead. It was a beautiful day. Birds were chirping and a slight breeze blew through the air. The clearing was always a nice place to bask in the sun, complete with comfy grass. As he entered the clearing he saw something, it was Damia. He carefully approached, knowing that she was sometimes up to spar. They were equal in their skills, but Damia had far more experience in combat. "This will be an interesting fight," Titan thought!

Squaring off against her component she took a moment to look him over. They seemed about evenly matched but only time would tell. Her ears flicked slightly and her feathers swayed as she prepared herself for the first attack.

If you want to RP let me know ! Before: Titan: 5HP 6MP Damia: 5 HP 6MP Attack Result: Attack landed 1 damage plus 3 magic damage, -4 magic After: Titan: 5HP 2 MP Damia: 1HP 6 MP As the breeze began to pick up, Titan breathed in and let the magic flow freely. As his magic began to activate, Titan made a quick dash towards Damia. The magic was strong and as the attack landed, it crackled loudly filling the air with an unearthly noise. Titan had not expected such strong magic to manifest, and it startled him. He side stepped to compose himself and watched carefully for Damia's next move. It may have been a good attack, but she was far from defeated. He knew her experience in battle had the potential to counteract any dumb luck.

Damia: 1HP 6 MP
He got the first move and his attack was solid and struck her in the side. She moved to counter his attack but ended up missing. She had some energy left in her though she wasn't sure she'd be able to make it through another hit since his first one had exhausted her a great deal. Only time would tell though.

Damia: 1HP 6 MP
Attack Outcome: Total miss.
Titan dodged her attack.He wasn't sure he could repeat his previous stroke of luck. Eager to attack, he rushed forward, his intent obvious. His move was predictable, and while close, he was unable to land a hit. Damia was still in the fight, and he tensed, trying to decipher her next move.
Titan: 5HP 2 MP
Damia: 1HP 6MP

Titan: 5HP 2 MP Damia: 1HP 6MP His counter attack to her miss was a miss and that gave her a boost of confidence. However her attack ended up falling short and she just missed him. Grumbling to herself she turned to face him, waiting for his next attack. Titan: 5HP 2 MP Damia: 1HP 6MP lowreed61 No worries, I didn't double check either. XD

Titan just barely dodged Damia's attack and he waited a second, assessing his options. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, he gave it his all. His magic fizzled out just before the completion of the spell but the physical attack hit. The battle was over. It was a good battle, full of unexpected events. Titan was grateful for the chance to spar with Damia. He bowed to Damia.

His final blow exhausted her completely and she took a moment to gather her breath and then turned to face him and bowed in return. It had been a good match.
