How the Game Works and the Rules Read the whole post, please!
General Rules: Read all of the rules, infect read this whole post (or you won't know how to play!! biggrin) This game is free and counts towards your freebie for June. No guilt tripping or discouraging other people from playing. Play fair. DO NOT edit or delete your posts or else you will be DQ'd for that round and the bonus round. (However you may try again in the other rounds, excluding the bonus round.) There's no real advantage to it, it'll slow you down and actually give you less of a chance of winning. sad Proxies are allowed but the proxy must only play for the person they are proxying for (otherwise it'll get a little confusing to tell their own posts and their proxy posts apart). Please turn off posting styles, signatures and colours (for text) while posting preferences in this thread. You may have a signature when the game starts but please turn off all posting styles. By entering this game you are agreeing to read the rules and stick to them. If not then you do so at your own risk and may be DQ'd.
Preference posting:
The thread will be open for preference posting approximately 24 hours before the game begins. Please try to post your preferences in that time. It's not compulsory but people who've posted their preferences in that window will get their preferences first and if you don't post yours in that timeframe you will forfeit getting your first choice potentially, even if you are rolled first.
How the Game Works:
Rounds 1,2,3 will be 10 minutes long and round 4 will be 30 minutes long. You are a dinosaur tamer and you have made some special kibble (dinosaur food), you have it in large supply but don't want to give it all away right away as you may need it for taming more dinos later. The dinos find the food to be delicious! You have to try and outbid other dino tamers (other players) by going up in increments of 1.You're trying to convince a dino to trust you. Counting starts after I or another member of staff posts,"Go". If two or more people post the same number, the first person to post the number is counted. The other people's posts are not counted for that number. At the end of the time limit the thread will be temporarily locked and winners will be rolled using the RNG from a range between 1 and the highest number reached. (This is essentially the dinosaurs choosing who they trust and who's dino food is right for them.) You can only post every other post when the game is running, this is so that we don't have one person taking up a large block of ticket numbers (so if the thread is quiet and you were the last person to post and no-one's posted yet then I'm sorry, you're going to have to wait for another person to post. You can't bid kibble against yourself). The minimum final number of kibble offered is 100. So if the highest number is under 100 and the round time has passed, the round will stay open until participants reach the number 100. If a number is skipped then all the numbers posted after that point do not count. Someone has to spot the mistake and post the missed number and counting up should continue from that person's post. A person posting a skipped number is allowed to say in their post that a number was skipped, along with the number that is skipped. If the time limit passes and there was found to be a skipped number (under 100), the thread will reopen and counting up may resume from that number up to 100. Amendment (since my connection is too slow to judge this): Today we will be continuing with the chain break rule change as it would be tedious and unfair to make you count up from an early number and my internet in this location is too slow to notify players of anything in time there is this rule change.
It is preferable that people try to find the breaks in the chain as the game goes on, but if time has reached and the game has continued with multiple chain breaks then the numbers will be announced.
What is a chain break? A chain break is when a number is missed due to there being no posts for it or someone posting it in an order or way that makes it invalid when compared to the rules.
People will have to try and post those numbers first in order to claim them for themselves. You may only post one number at a time.
If any soquili or familiars are left over from regular rounds they will go into the bonus round pool. (Unlikely but just incase.) For each correct kibble bid, you get another chance to be rolled in the raffle at the end of the game. For example if you posted some numbers in the correct order and one of the numbers you posted correctly was rolled, you will have won a pet in that round. You can only post each number once. No spamming the same number, you will be DQ'd.
Bonus Round Rules: Entrants of previous rounds earn extra tickets to the raffle at the end as a thank you for playing (5 extra tickets per round, they will be added on at the end of the raffle in order of round 4 preference post appearance). If you have played in other rounds, you must have to have played fairly in order to take part (no post editing / deleting). General Rules apply

It's recommended that you use a computer for this but you can use your phone or tablet as long as you're / it's fast enough. A decent internet connection Some free time or a friend to proxy

There is a post time-limit on forums and guids on gaia. This may make things a little more difficult.

Is it a dice game? No, while ultimately who wins is up to the RNG, it's a speed round counting game.
If a player is active and successful with their posts they can give themselves more of a chance of winning because they will have more "tickets". Correct answers are verified and winners are rolled from the range between 1 and the highest number reached.
What happens if I post a duplicate number after someone else, am I DQ'd? No, you'e not DQ'd, just continue on with the game as normal. Leave your post as it is, it may count for the bonus round.
emotion_facepalmI made a boo-boo and completely forgot to turn off my sig when I posted my prefs in your game. May I edit my post to remove it? Yes, you can edit preference posts up until the start of the game. ^^
Are we allowed to enter for only Familiars if we've already won a Soq? Yes you are. ^^
