Daffodil lounged on the couch, legs thrown over the edge and dress pooling around her hips. No one was home, and probably for the best, as modesty had been thrown right out the window. It wasn't her house, technically. She was lucky the owner of the house even let her stay there, especially when Daffodil came home with a child one evening. Still, this didn't stop her from behaving as if it was her own place, toes wiggling as she held her phone in the air and tapped away at it. She had recently gotten it, finally able to afford the device after landing a well-paying job. One would think she already would have had one by the time she adopted her son, but nooooo. Things didn't go in order for Daffodil. They never had.

With a clumsy tap, she clicked on the name of her older sister, beaming ear to ear. Oooooh boy, did she have news to give! Placing the phone to her ear, the demon flicked her tail lazily, using it to pull her dress just a tad over her lower area.

'click!'
"Hello?"
"Big Dandi! How's it goin'?"

There was a pause, one that Daffodil assumed meant Dandelion was attempting to refrain from her usual 'please stop calling me that' speech. Her smile never wavered, even when a soft, weary sigh left her sister.

"Good, I suppose. I'm.... is there something you need? You never call unless..."
"Unless I need somethin', right? Well, here's the scoop, and you'll love this. You know how I adopted Cosmos, right?"

Silence, and then a soft affirmative hum followed.

"Well, when he comes home, the poor guy is all alone. I mean, there's me, but I'm boring mom, y'know?"
"I wouldn't necessarily say boring, but yes."
"I'm his mom, I'm totally boring. Anyway, I was thinkin', why not get him a sibling?"

Silence, again. There was a soft sigh, and Daffodil heard movement, followed by muffled voices. Was Dandelion talking to their partner? Their kids? No, the kids were at school... Finally, move movement followed, and then a shaky sigh returned.

"Daffodil, you- you're living with a friend. You.... shouldn't you have your own place before you have a chil- another child?" Daffodil blinked, scoffing softly. Her own place? Why? Their set up was nice! Though, Dandelion was right.... she was imposing, wasn't she? Clicking her tongue, Daffodil shook her head.

"Okay! I'll get a place, then! Maybe one of those cool apartments by the water! Yeah! Then a kid!"
"Daff... even if you do this, there would be an age gap, right? Cosmos would be a pre-teen by the time they could actually play together. Maybe we could just have my kids visit soon? Instead of another kid?"

Psh. Dandelion was a bore. No, Daffodil had this all figured out. Or, as figured as she thought she needed.

"Nah! I'm good! Next time you see me, I'll be a mom of two! How excitin' is that? Can stones feel, anyway? Oh man, how long are stones.... stones?"
"No, they can't really..... Shouldn't you have researched this? Daff, what's the pl-"
"Okay! Good talk! I'mmmmm heading out now! Love ya!"

With that, Daffodil hung up before her sister could begin her fretting, humming merrily. Okay, apartment searching, tell Cosmos, and get a soul stone.

Lets.... hope she does that in the correct order.
