WELCOME TO THE FINAL ROUND!
Aurostibite and Xenotime have congratulated you upon making it to the last round of the tournament! The rules this round are the same as the last!
OOC RULES:
- You have 72 hours to complete the battle! If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact either Beejoux or kuropeco privately through AIM or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Sarabauite felt she should've been proud of herself; she made it to the final round! That was a feat in and of itself! Yet, as she walked out into the arena for the last time during this tourney, she was overcome with the most anxiousness and guilt since the first round.
God, it'd... it'd really be a big embarrassment to lose now, she thought, summoning her bookmark and testing the weight of the metal in her hand. T-to make it this far and just lose? Egh...
Looking up to her opponent, she wasn't sure what to say. So she tried to be as cordial as possible, "Um, c-congrats for making it this far. Good luck this time too?"

Annabergite stepped into the ring with all the confidence and the bravado of someone who had saved the world. He immediately slid over to the girl, and pressed a hand to his chest, adopting a look of sparkling concern and tenderhearted sweetness.
At least in his head.
"Just know, that when I win, I take no pleasure in beating a cute girl," he said, patting her fondly on the shoulder. unoderi gaia did not notify me of this : | also I am so sorry for him

Sarabauite blinked. And blinked again. And again.
"Um, if you say so?" she said, cocking her head like a bird. "Um." She stood quiet, unsure if she should push him away (good strategy for close combat!), stand there awkwardly, or just... begin?
"Uh."
So she kinda just... slashed at him.

Annabergite sparkled at Sarabauite and then promptly let out a squeal as she swung towards him. The metal of the bookmark caught a neat little line across his upper cheek, and he clapped a hand to his face, looking highly offended.
"Not my pretty face," Annabergite gasped in outrage. "I can't believe - "
He kicked out, mostly from habit, trying to get her away from him.

Sarabauite felt the wind get knocked out of her; grabbing at her stomach and heaving out a breath at the kick. She winced up at Annabergite, unsure if cutting him on the face was overdoing it or thoroughly justified.
She went with thoroughly justified.
"W-well, we had to start, so I just... went with... what I always do?"
The lieutenant than tried to return with a kick of her own, but much to her chagrin, she missed.

Annabergite slipped hastily out of the way of her next attack, trying not to let her get near his beautiful face again. It was bad enough that he'd been kicked and punched by the rest of his opponents up until now; he didn't want any more bruising than strictly necessary.
He tried to kick her again, stumbling forward.
"Jeez - "

Sarabauite stumbled out of the way of his stumbling kick. From an exterior point-of-view, it probably looked like two drunks duking it out.
Okay, so, change of plan. Instead of charging forward, just... keep slashing. Yep. Works for me.
So Sarabauite tried to knick him with her bookmark again. It worked in the past, it should work now?

It was probably a very good thing that Obsidian was not around to watch Annabergite fight, because there most likely would have been some sort of flailing and even less composure than he already had. As it was, Annabergite was just frankly ridiculous.
He let out a squawk as her bookmark caught his upper arm, slicing a neat line through his jacket.
"Ow! Why do you - why does everyone get the fun weapons but me?!" he bellowed.

Sarabauite just had to stop. Stop and stare as if Annabergite had three heads.
What was going on.
Was this really her final round.
Really.
Going up against this guy.
The lieutenant expected an admirably tough opponent who would keep her on her guard and, while she didn't have a penchant for fighting, at least put her mind to use.
She shook her head free of her questions and instead tried to focus on the positive. Maybe he had an ace up his sleeve? Could trump her at a moment's notice.
"C-c'mon, do something," she urged, pushing at him like a schoolyard bully. "We're... W-we're supposed to be fighting."

Annabergite privately wasn't sure how he'd managed to get this far in the tournament - but to be fair, he had done his best to actually attempt fighting. Obsidian would be proud of him if he actually made the effort; a fact he had to keep reminding himself of.
"I'm trying," Anna growled, stumbling as she pushed him. He pushed back, mostly because it was all he could think of to do. "I'm just - you try having a rubber flower as a weapon, I've got nothing except my beautiful self to actually do anything."
He tried to elbow her in the ribs, annoyed with himself for looking weak.

Sarabauite didn't want to admit she was frustrated. Whether it was from the lack of a challenge, the desire to get this over it, or the guy's wonderful eyeshadow, she wasn't sure—there were too many confounding variables.
The elbow to the ribs motivated her some, though. She grunted at the pain and pressed at the area of contact as if that would somehow staunch it. There'd certainly be a bruise later, right on top of the others already there.
She blinked again amidst her sweep with her bookmark. "Rubber flower? W-why did you go with something like that?"

He'd managed to catch her a little, Annabergite shifting, pivoting on one of his feet to try and hit her again. It wasn't a good strategy; her bookmark cut another line across his upper arm before he could reach her, and he let out a hiss of annoyance, his posture slipping.
Focus, he thought, focus. For you. So you can tell Obsidian what you've done.
"I didn't choose the flower," said Anna testily, and grabbed for her arm, all trace of laughing gone as he tried to throw her aside. "It was what was given to me."

Sarabauite hooted in surprise to be grabbed so suddenly. She was flung to the ground; landing in a sloppy roll. When she pushed herself up, she touched at a scrap beneath her eye, and huffed at the blood.
Unable to form a reply to his answer, the lieutenant instead chucked her bookmark at him. While it wasn't the smartest move to disarm herself in the heat of battle, she had foregone thought for simply attacking at this point.
