Fine, I'll humor you all with a anecdote of a date I had some months ago and how it really didn't go well as far as I'm concerned.

Background story is I met a friend and his girlfriend having lunch with a friend of hers while I was downtown, Was invited to join in so I agreed. Eventually my friend's GF exclaimed that her friend and I ought to try a date cause we're both fun according to her. While a little reserved, We seemed to both agree that a date wasn't such a bad idea. Afterall we had gotten a good first impression during the lunch.

Date night comes around and I go with the basic, dinner and maybe a movie that could be ignored if we simply stick to talking at the resturant.
We order our meals, get our drinks and start to talk. Though everytime I talk and she listens I can clearly see her working her tongue around inside her closed mouth, not in a sexy manner but rather as if trying to get something stuck between her teeth.
Now that was my initial assumption until I realized we haven't gotten a single thing to eat yet, she seems to pick up on me noticing her tongue movement and seems to have felt that she had to explain why.

My teeth feel very uneven, don't they look uneven?

She opens her mouth a little and frankly I don't see anything wrong, something I tell her by saying No, they look as lovely as you. Smooth McGroove in the house you know. Might aswell compliment her. You'd think it'd work. But instead she leans closer and goes, No, no. Look carefully.

Her mouth is now as wide open as she can make it and whatever comfort zone I had decided to run away screaming, I'm now sitting at the table at a rather nice and semi-fancy greek resturant, on a saturday night and all I'm thinking is CLOSE YOUR ******** MOUTH!, PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO STARE AT US!

Eventually I try to reign it in with, Maybe you should get a dentist appointment on Monday then.

No, I'm not fond of Dentists. Let me see if I have a nail file in my purse and just fix it real quick.

NOW!?, YOU'RE GONNA FIND A NAIL FILE NOW AND START TO GRIND DOWN YOUR TEETH RIGHT HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RESTURANT LIKE THAT'S WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE DO!? Wait...what? OH LOOK AT THAT, NO, NO GO AHEAD. GRIND THEM DOWN WHILE EVERYBODY IS LOOKING, HEY THE WAITER CAME WITH YOUR MEAL NOW YOUR TOOTH DUST IS ******** GARNISH ON THE MOUSSAKA.

Also turned out she smokes so nah, I decided I didn't want my future to have a 50 year old me sitting opposite a 50 year old woman coughing up a lung, garnish it with tooth dust and take a inhale from her oxygen tank.
Maybe I'm a little picky when it comes to women.
