::Tokyo::::The Capital:: Tokyo...Capital of Japan, Ground Zero of the War of the Endtimes where the forces of Lucifer and Loki first emerged into this world and the most devastated city still holding out...together with Iwatodai, Okina City, Inaba, and the Oshu Region, these last few cities are the last defense of mankind against an unstoppable invasion. The world is coming to a crisis...and only you can save it! You are one of the few survivors of what is currently being called 'The War of the Endtimes', and now you're standing smack in the middle of a town filled with demons who want nothing more than to tear you to pieces, humans who are slowly losing their sanity, and even worse things beyond that! Your only mission is to survive...and if possible, defeat the threat inherent behind it all! ...And also available to those of you who are ambitious and seek to demonstrate your strength in this messed up apocalypse, is a goal to wrack up a high score! You are a Devil Survivor! Your other powers are muted due to the swiftly deteriorating state of the world and its magic, and only the devils within your Summoning App are available to you as defense against the oncoming storm!
Though you're trapped in the city, you have means available to you to obtain even stronger weapons against the foes you will face! One of these means is a Demon Auction and a Cathedral of Shadows, through which you can win and fuse stronger demons to use against your foes! Based upon your performance throughout the event, stronger demons and fusions may be available to you...so the longer you survive, the more success you have, the better your odds of winning a great prize and surviving 'til the end will become! --------------------------- Roll/Event Guide- Every turn, you will roll a die 1-10000. Depending on your roll, your character may achieve one of several results...
-If you roll a 1, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000, or 10000, you will defeat one of the primary enemies of the event...a General of Hell, General of Hel, a Fiend, or a General of the Underworld! You will receive [50 Tokens] for this feat and a [Fiend Prize]! This will advance the event to the next stage...until all major enemies are defeated!
-If you roll 2-999, you survive your post! (Receive a 'Mannikin Talisman'. Collect 5 Mannikin Talismans for a Prize!)
-If you roll 1001-1999 the forces of the Assembly of Nihilo ambush you! You fend them off and retreat temporarily! Choose: [Win 7 Tokens but your lowest level demon dies.], or [Sacrifice 5 Tokens and your highest level demon gains 2 levels]. (Receive one Digit of a '5-Digit Code'. Receive all 5 Digits for a Prize!)
-If you roll 2001-2999, 3001-3999 you successfully win an encounter with demons of either faction! This will allow you to gain a [Token]! Tokens can be spent on rewards once you have enough...
-If you roll 4001-4999, 5001-5999 you will win a difficult battle against a massive horde of demons. This will earn you [5 Tokens]!
-If you roll 6001-6999 you will defeat Special-Encounter Demon [7 Tokens + Automatically draw a demon 3 Levels above your current level].
-If you roll 7001-7999, you may Form a Fate Link with another character, Raise a Fate Link by +1 Level with someone you've already Formed a Link with (to a MAX of 5), or Encounter an NPC character and form a Fate Link with them. NPCs include Obelyn Cernunnos, Fenrisulfr, Jormungandr, Dante, Isamu, Chiaki, Hikawa, or the Riders of the Apocalypse, and others!. Receive 10 Tokens - Freely fuse two demons you control.
-If you roll 8001-8500, you may win a major encounter against the demons serving the Mantra. This will grant you [10 Tokens] and receive 1 Power Node! Collect 5 Power Nodes for a surprise.
-If you roll 8501-8999, you complete a mission in which you court or are possessed by a devil to defeat a terrifying foe. You earn [10 Tokens] for this mission, and obtain a [Special Demon] for your Cathedral of Shadows Summoning App! Receive [1 Shard] of 'Mask of Aradia'. Receive 5 Shards to complete the mask and receive a prize!
-If you roll 9001-9500, Complete a Minor Bounty Hunt for Obelyn Cernunnos and slay one of the lesser servants of Loki or Lucifer. [Earn 10 Tokens and earn 10 Macca. If you earn 250 Macca, something may become available to you under certain conditions...]
-If you roll 9501-9999, you encounter True Chaos Demi-Fiend Tala Ivanov and are ruthlessly killed...OR by a Rival Faction! Either of these is [Game Over] and your character is removed from the event.
-You may redeem Tokens for various perks, listed below.Quote: Token Guide- 10 Tokens: Win a new demon from an auction! Demon must be within 3 Levels of your own. -15 Tokens: Fuse two demons you own together! [Create a demon 5 Levels above your own.] Guide. -Random: At occasional points, auctions may be held in the OoC or the Guild Skype Chat! You will be able to bid as many Tokens as your character has in order to win the devils/items available in this auction. -25 Tokens: In the event of a [Game Over], you may redeem 25 Tokens in order to remain in the game. "And what of what I want? Justice...revenge for the sister they murdered?!"It happened in a flash...so fast, it was hard to believe that it had ever really happened at all. The way the skies and the portals beneath the ground seemed to open up like a gaping maw of fire and shadow, the hordes of warring devils that seemed to emerge in an endless horde from each of these portals across the world. It all began in Japan, but that was only the beginning, the flashpoint from which the world was engulfed in this War of the Endtimes. Devils...demons...even some Angels, estranged or transformed humans...they were forced to choose their sides as the Two Great Lords of Hell faced off against one another with their true might for the first and last time, to decide which future for the Underworld was the only future for the Underworld, and the Earth itself was caught in the crossfire. Humanity was a mere puppet, an accessory, to a war beyond their own ken. And it fell in a matter of 7 days...
...But even after the end game, and humanity died by the billions around the world, the War of the Endtimes continued without a victor. And it continued to rage, the heart of the matter in the tiny landmass of Japan, where the last hopes of humanity were shielded against total annihilation by an ally in the shadows...someone who hoped to turn the boundless potential of man against the two Overlords who used them like playthings for their own machinations. That man was the Red Viper, a disenfranchised Lord of the Underworld with a Grudge. And as the 7th Day of Destruction passed, a new 1st Day dawned...
...A new Genesis of Man, a new Conception, was about to begin. As the humans who slept, protected from the war, awaken from their forced slumber and step out into the world, a voice greets them...the voice of their protector, their 'Ally in the Apocalypse'. It poses a simple question...
"Arise now, last vestiges of humanity, and witness the destruction that the War of the Endtimes has wrought upon your world. The Lord of Darkness and the Trickster God have brought chaos, destruction, and upheaval into your world for nothing but their own petty feud, yet for you, it is a calamity beyond all others. Until now, my power has shielded you from the destruction...but my power is waning, and I can no longer guard you against the horrors that await in the streets and the world beyond. Five cities remain standing, though heavily infested with your enemies...and everywhere, those enemies will seek to annihilate you. It is a world unlike anything you have seen...and for some, it may be too much to handle. But I see within your heart...an ember, a fierce strength...and I want to use that fire to strike back against the self-proclaimed Gods who have hurt you.
...My reasons are not altruistic, my friends, and I will tell you now that I have my own reasons to fight alongside you. But on my word, so long as you fight those beasts, I will stand by your side until the end. ...His message is heavy, and hard to hear, but one look beyond the veil which had once protected you and now fades reveals that you have indeed been sleeping through something impossible...the end of days, and a war that filled the world with devils and dust and destruction. And in his words is an implicit question...a choice that must be made.

That was the only word for it. A vicious, relentless war between all of the races. The conception of a new world...
Saiga clenched her phone tightly, cursing her own initial weakness.
'My powers have faded...and I haven't been able to do anything...But.' she thought, the presence of the voice in her mind telling. She was..being protected by the mysterious individual for so long....She had been saved, but for what purpose? What did he want with keeping them all alive? She couldn't even be sure how many people were left...But, as she climbed out of her resting place, she could tell...
"s**t has really gone down.." she said out loud, tapping at her phone. It was..horrifying..Destructive. Much like that time before...when the world was under attack by the septentrione.
'But, if we could fight that back..' she thought, before darting out into the crowd. 'We can stop this war....Maybe even Win it, for humanity.'
She would do what she could...she would overcome these trials...She would...
Get ambushed by a bunch of demons. Though she couldn't muster any kind of offense at first, she eventually fought them off...and made her way through, no stronger, nor weaker for the encounter. "With my feet planted firmly upon the lands of those who came before, I seek to create a better tomorrow for those who are yet to come..."He didn't need to hear the voice to understand what had happened. One look was all it took for his trademark Mori wit to put together the horrible pieces of what had occurred with a startling accuracy, but even though he could see it and comprehend it, it didn't make it any easier to believe that after all he had gone through, all that he and Sera had survived in their own world, that they had come back through time to find a world that was hardly any better than the Corrupted Wasteland that had been their former home. This world was perhaps a little less infectious, but no less fatal in the terror that wandered the average streets...or what streets that remained. Already he could hear the familiar cries of demons, the shouts of pain and terror of the remaining humans being treated as sport by the hideous creatures that lingered. This was like nothing that he could have imagined if he hadn't seen something similar with his own eyes in his own world. This...was a true Apocalypse. And the scars of war were everywhere in the streets of the capital, from the shattered windows in the shops to the claw marks ripped out of the concrete and overturned vehicles, the occasional dusty corpse lining the road, and the reddish tint to the sky above them as though blood had stained the very clouds and atmosphere beyond.
Koichi had an uncanny wit to think clearly even in the worst situations, but that didn't stop the sick feeling in the pit of his stomach, the wrenching futility of all that he and his friends had done until now. He simply compartmentalized those feelings and set his hand gently on the sleeping cat on his shoulder, not yet awakened from whatever power had ensnared him as well, and looked...from his hotel window down towards the street below, where a pack of Obariyon dawdled along chasing after Preta with pitchforks, shouting something about serving the Trickster God. So, was that what this was? Some sort of a war between the Trickster and...it must have been the Lord of Darkness to be on this scale, mustn't it? But the level of destruction that would cause...! His eyes widened slightly...this truly was it, then, wasn't it? The Conception...the legend, the story, the horror fantasy he had read about and heard about as a child...the end of the world...the beginning of a new.
His eyes glanced around the room and he suddenly flipped open his phone, checking for a signal and finding only the Cathedral of Shadows Application instead. Another familiar story...he'd heard about the Summoning App before, and of other stories from his father, the Shogun...about the Hotsuin, JPs, about much. This was similar...and he had to treat it as such. And speaking of, if there was anybody who would know something he didn't about this war...
"I need to find my father..." he gathered immediately, processing all of that information in a flash before turning from the window and calling out into the hotel room, "Sera...Sera, we need to go!" It wasn't that he hadn't thought about the fact that she might be gone too, but more that he simply couldn't accept that thought and discarded it. The idea that she wasn't here with him was impossible. It was rubbish. She was in the bathroom right now, or out in the hall, or checking the lobby for a bagel in her sleep not realizing the world had ended because of her morning haze. That was Sera, after all...not someone who just disappeared overnight. He'd find her, find his father...and they would get straight to work on fixing this situation for everyone.
They would lead their people in a time of need...it was what the Mori did, after all.Quote: 1 Tokens

Sera Makushima  "What the actual f-" The place was in ruin. Correction: the whole world was in ruin. It was easy to see the red sky outside from the window...along with the wrecked cars, the cracked streets, the bodies on the ground, and the demons terrorizing the streets outside. The bagel she had gotten wasn't all that appetizing all of the sudden, and the pinkette threw it out as she ran up the stairs to get back to her and Koichi's room. The staircase was blocked by a group of skeletons though, and Sera groaned. "Oh come on. I just woke up! Get out of my way!"
But there were too many. And she heard a little giggle behind her. 'Here, I'll help. This is just too amusing not to.'

"So I heard that you all were looking for a good story to act out. Well I happen to know a fantastic storywriter..."Destruction. Everywhere that could be glanced at, all that was wrought by the war was destruction. And all that could be brought to his face was a frown. He was thoroughly saddened by all of it. Most likely, either of them could have messed up all of the plans he have laid out and accomplished so far. He heard the words that Obelyn spoke, but a dry cough was all that he could well up. But before he could even begin his own missions, he was sent to accomplish a mission, forcibly possessed like a regular human. As he completed the simplistic mission, the demon had relinquished it's "hold" on him, he immediately gripped the demon, speaking in a low tone. She sighed loudly, barely lifting her blade to deal with a welcoming party of Preta. She had gotten strong...But, at the same time, she felt so weak. So...unimportant.

"This one is a foe that you'll be able to take out...And weaken the Trickster's forces. Every little bit will mean something...Every touch of venom will eventually spread to the heart."Alright.." the girl called, grasping a nearby pipe, and preparing herself for combat. It..wasn't the sturdiest weapon, and she wasn't entirely sure she could do much as it was...But, if she was called upon by Obeyln...If she was beckoned to help...
She could feel a part of her urging her along...Wanting to help. She paced around the area quietly, before lunging out with her Kodama...and bashing the demon's head [or what she hoped was it's head] in...Not relenting until it burst into Magnetite. The girl let out a sigh of relief, before tossing the bent pipe aside, flicking out her phone.

The girl could easily fight without any regrets. The demon she had was still in her phone...So, when push came to shove, and she had to smash it into Magnetite,....She refrained from telling her own companion what she had to do.
'They might be related..after all.' she thought, thinking back to the lazy Repeat Senior, and his little 'sister.' "Beelzebub!" she called, beckoning forth her giant fly demon to get on the scene...and watch as the purple haired girl was knocked the ground. Youmu moved over to her side at this, bringing out another ally.
"Gabriel..! I need you to help her!" the girl called, watching as the Angel fluttered overhead....And filled her up with life once more. It was dangerous, but....She had to help her.

Saiga GirikoNo sooner had Saiga fell, did a demon float overhead....Nearly blocking out the sun with it's immense size...and another floated over her, restoring her life force. She gasped for breath, and pushed to her feet, looking back at the silver haired girl that saved her.
"Thank you.." she called quietly, starting to get away from the scen with her. "If I didn't have your help..."
She shuddered to think about it, even as she backhanded a demon that had circled in like a vulture. The girl was formidable to control such a powerful demon, but one question rang out...
