The Concept
There are always new tools being created. This game is just that. Create a new tool for a soquili or familiar to use. What would it be used for? How is it crafted and what is it made out of? Make a visual representation of the tool and a description. The representation can be almost anything: a technical drawing, a regular drawing, or an actual 3D version of the tool... I did not reinvent the wheel, see? Username: Discription: (How is it used? What is it made of? How is it made? Who uses it?) Preference List: The Rules
This is a judged contest. The main judge is Spelldancer but if she is stuck on whom to choose she will bring in two others. This counts as your event freebie. Any art medium allowed, digital or non digital Images should be 500x500 or thumbnails. You can link to a larger version if desired. The artist’s username must be present in the image Art must be done by the person entering. Art needs to follow Gaia TOS. I will be judging by the following criteria: creativity, in both the image and the discription, and feasibility
If you have any questions please PM spelldancer.

I did not reinvent the wheel, see? (Click for full image) Username: Epine de Rose Description: Soquili powered mining tools for the budding collector of rare and shiny artifacts (don't wait for the shinies to come to you, MAKE them come to you!). This tool is made up of a simplistic vine-pulley system that utilises the endurance, and strong legs, of the Soquili species. Note, that while this blueprint only one axe is shown, a pulley sytem can be attached to both sides so that the individual can alternate between each leg to give themselves the necessary rest. All materials can be scavenged and ample upkeep of this tool will ensure that the most rare and valuable parts are maintained for months to come! How to Use:- Stretch thoroughly before operating. - Ensure vine straps are tightly bound to the user and to the axes. - Keep small offspring at a distance. - Position self near rock face with axe in impact range of target. - Pull leg up, axe goes down. - Put leg down, axe goes back up. - The more rapid the leg movements the greater the force behind each axe hit. Warning: Ensure you take regular breaks when using this piece of machinery or your legs may turn to jelly. Pickaxe heads are also liable to fly off when vines snap from overuse - be prepared to dodge. For Use Of:Budding scavengers of the rare and shiny, hit a rock and rumour has it more shiny rocks might come out. Only the able bodied and strong of will need apply, patience is also a desirable trait. Should not be operated by small foals or adolescents in case of lasting injury due to strain on back and legs. Operational "instructions" are enclosed on the blueprints. 8D Persons Required:- One able bodied mare or stallion, preferably one that has never skipped leg day. Ever. - One able bodied familiar with ability to tie firm knots, snakes need not apply unless they are exceedingly skilled. Materials Required: - Assorted thick vines for rope pulley system. Bring spares, they might snap after repeated use! - Assorted thin vines for pickaxe repair if required. - Sharp stone shards scavenged from nearby cliff faces. Bring additional, pickaxe may become blunt after repeated use. - Round stones with reasonable size holes the whole way through them, position of these holes does not need to be dead centre. Best source appears to be the nearby lakes! Spares not required, tested durability and they work quite well! - Assortment of branches for round stones and axe handles. How to Make:Have your trusted companion follow the blueprints, trust me, nothing could possibly go wrong with this! Preference List: 2, 1, 3

I did not reinvent the wheel, see? Username: belloblossom Description: Claw Guards were invented by one Mama Scree, who was having a difficult time keeping hold of her clutch without accidentally gouging them in the process. Maybe herbivores with their flat feet and round toes were into something, thought she, who noticed that raptor offspring was much more rare to come across than their plant-eating neighbors. If only she could have feet like those, if only for a short time to spend time with her offspring, rather than slicing and dicing them without intention. That's when the idea hit her! So, with some clever work, Scree rounded up some nuts and a bowl of tree sap and got to work. With merticulous work and attention to detail, Scree hollowed out a series of nuts, each large enough to fit her claws, but the shells were smooth and had rounded ends, so they would not endanger her clutch. At the end of the cavity she drilled, she poured a trickle of tree sap into the nut and some around the outer edges, before slipping one of her claws into the guard and waited for the sap to dry. After it dried, she found that it worked wonderfully and came off easily in water too. Why, it worked so well that we went onto telling everyone else she knew, her mate, her sisters, her offspring, once they were old enough. Soon word spread and it became a universal raptor tool. I did not reinvent the wheel, see? Username: ABVirus Discription: Desc: The blackened iron spike looks like large unicorn horn with it's a open rear cavity ringed by a series of thin spikes. the cavity emanating a smell of rot and ruin. The horn killed the first hippogriff that tried to use it. rendering them brain dead, in a state between life and death. the same result happening for all who tried after. The horn- was in all intents and purposes a success, but not for hippogriffs, being immune to corpse dust simply went brain-dead or at best succumbed to infection and general madness when using it. For the use of: when used on normal soqoili- the horn's iron leeches corpse dust directly to the mind of it's host- rendering them especially feral and mad, acting akin to a feral pure walker in sense there is no conflict about their nature as walkers. this paired with the purpose of the cavity, which would be filled with corpse dust prior to being driven into the hosts skull. by it's nature the horn rots away the flesh of it's hosts and about the wounds inflicted from those stabbed by it, depositing slivers of corrupted iron in the deep puncture wounds it leaves. leaving a mostly exposed skull over time. Who made it: It was created by a group of hippogriff, early worshipers of pure walkers, seeking to become like idolized gods, they sought means to receive the gift of the cursed tree, despite their inability to receive it. The cult killed itself off with their horn and died one by one trying to unlock the source of it's failure, the last member using the artifact on himself as a last effort. his body preserved in a cave, held in un-death until he was discovered by native, who mistaking him for dead, removed the horn and brought it back into the world. where it would find it's first actual use. How was it made: a forge of carved stone was crafted in the dessert and moved to the cursed tree, where the the dust iron was smelted, a mixture of raw iron, corpse dust and purewalker blood was melted over a fire of twigs of the cursed tree the corpse dust iron forge was destroyed when it began to crack during creation of horn, the casting of the horn done in sand at the base of the tree. It would soon after explode, killing most of the cult, however the process worked- in sense that a fell artifact was formed. Materials required: Dust Iron forge: Large lava Stone bricks (footing), medium lava stone bricks (outer walls) lava stone cap, crucible, kindling of the cursed tree Dust iron alloy: Iron ingots, corpse dust, pure walker blood Preference List: 1, 2, 3
