A year didn't do much for Eithan's bad mood.
Sure, he could have avoided the fight, could have not liked that it was a car accident to his folks, and could have run away from Auntie dearest, but all the "coulds" in Eithan's world didn't change the fact that it was already said and done. His femur being broken in three places hadn't helped either.
All of that had left his mind the moment he reached Destiny City again, as if the mere sight of the skyscrapers chased away all of the "could have" and "should have" that existed. That was at least until he started to get back into the swing of things. School wasn't a problem. Eithan was certain none of them knew he'd left, and no one dared screw with his room so that was squared away as far as he knew.
Yet the air had changed and all of the kids he knew followed suit. Maybe the faculty didn't notice him missing, but maybe his friends had?
That idea was a crapshoot.
That very morning not once, but multiple times did he get that same "stranger stare". To which his response was a swift Screw this and he went back to track down his turf, as per the usual. Yet, either through the new metal pins in his legs or for nostalgia, he took his time to visit shops and places to see the new changes. Ain't nothin' stays the same. He thought bitterly. As boring as it was, when the dark hit the streets he greeted the bad mood head on.
As Altaite.
Oh it had been ages since he had felt so good! His legs were springing again as he recklessly moved over roofs again. Somewhere a memory nagged at him, a warning about overexertion? Or just to not be so reckless? It slipped his mind and he continued his carefree stalk, ending up near the casino he often snuck into only a year prior.
With a predatory gaze he stared down in the back alley, leg hanging over the side of the building, swaying with his adrenaline pumping. Only it had been so long that it started to feel wrong in some way. "Tch." He muttered to himself. "Now what the hell am I supposed to do?"

The blanket of darkness mostly hid the General as his uniform was almost entirely made up of dark colors. The few bits of lighter colors, as well as fair skin and ashen hair, would only be caught in brief flashes by any civilians looking up at the right moments. With his ankle mostly healed, he really wasn't' feeling much anymore, it was time for a run across the tops of the cities skyscrapers and smaller, more humble, buildings as he made his way across the city taking in the cool night air and feeling out whatever signatures were there to be felt.
Slowly his run to a slow stalk he made his way across another roof top, a gloved hand reaching up to pet the cat laying across his shoulders. Her claws were sunk deep into his uniform as she hung on, not wanting to be lost somewhere by the petite General. As he reached the roof tops ledge he stepped up onto it and crouched down, one hand planting itself on the slate surface between his feet. Blueish grey eyes staring out into the darkness before he felt it.
"A lieutenant." He whispered to the cat who purred and nosed his cheek. "Yes, I think we'll find them Katya." He whispered in answer to the unspoken words. She didn't need to say things to him all the time, just gestures, noises, and such could speak just as loudly as words. Standing back up he changed his course a bit and headed for the signature, closing in on it as quickly as he could.

Something inside was urging him to act, his leg swinging over the edge aching for him to jump down as several drunkards wandered out. These guys can't be one of those guys right? He grunted, gritting his teeth as he remembered getting slammed by a wall the last time he ran into one of those. "Damn it." He grumbled under his breath, pulling himself up and standing over the edge.
Where was this hesitation coming from?
There was a dull, probably imagined, sting from inside of his leg where he figured the pins had been drilled in. Whereas there was some slight worry about running into their enemies, it had been a group of normal guys that had put him into such a state. It annoyed him. If I'd been like this, that wouldn't of happened. He was getting damn tired of waiting and he felt an adrenaline spike as he gazed down into the alley again, watching the unsuspecting group below. "This is my chance..." He huffed under his breath and braced himself, counting down to his jump.

Before the Lieutenant could jump the General had gotten close enough to see them - close enough to notice the distinct uniform. It was one he'd seen twice and only twice and the first time was when he'd corrupted the person. Biting down on his lip, eyes bright as he watched them for a moment longer, he wanted to know where they'd been and why they had vanished. He needed - no he wanted - answers. He did not need to know anything but the want was so strong it might as well be a need really.
Teleporting quickly, to cover the short distance remaining, he wound up only a few inches from the other. He seemed ready to jump and just as he would have the General reached out and grabbed him, holding him still. "It's been a long time...if you plan to go for those people." His eyes flicking down to the alley way. "You might want some help." He whispered, not wanting to attract attention from those down below. "Allow me to help and then we can talk." he would help with whatever it was the other was planning, he didn't know what the Lieutenant's plans were for the civilians below.

1...
He'd opted to jump but before his foot left the edge of the roof he felt the grasp from behind, his body going rigid at the touch, swaying backwards as the voice filled his ears. It was familiar... yet he turned his gaze to get a better look, ready to clock whoever it was in the face for getting involved. "What the hell?! Just whaddya-" As if the air had clean gone from his lungs his voice flattened into an aspirated gasp. "..."
Help? Talk? ********> Whatever haphazard plan he did had died in his mind then and there. "Nah, nah that was just..." Revenge. He didn't say it since there was no proof it was those guys anyway. As embarrassing as it was to falter on an attack, what would happen if he did it now? Admit his failure to defend himself from before? End up getting revenge on the wrong guys? Not happening. Altaite shrugged and shook his head. "...a thing, that's all. Y'know, just a whatever kind of thing. Not even doin' nothin'." It was a feign for recovery, but at least it sounded confident and he followed it up with a shrug.
"Guess uh, I got some explainin' to do?" It was almost painfully awkward with the teen as he was stuck, staring at the General, his General, the one who even brought him into this world to begin with. Just what the hell do you say to a guy after a year?

Letting the other go he shook his head and smiled. "If you wanted to go after them we can - I have no issue with that. You would however be a bit out numbered." Hence his offering of help. He didn't want to see the other become overwhelmed by taking on several large men. Rolling his eyes at the other the blond, shorter than the other, reached up to ruffle the others hair.
"If you wish to go for them let's do so before they leave." He wouldn't ask why -didn't care why. The other wanted to go after some people and that was all that mattered. "We can gather their energy - starseeds if you wish." He spoke, thinking of the stock pile of both things which had been depleted, or stolen, during the invasion. Oh, how that annoyed him. He was displeased with the invasion having ever happened, and he hadn't known a thing about it before hand.
Tilting his head to the other he smiled more. "Yes, you do. You can explain after this. Perhaps over something to drink if you want. I was worried, though with some recent events it is good you were not around." He answered softly.

Starseeds. That sounded familiar. He watched Benitoite carefully and let out a groan at the tussle of his hair, trying to fix it with a hand but it was a lost cause as was. For a moment he hesitated, looking between the General and down towards the larger men, causing a racket. Annoying assholes... His pale eyes looked back. "Well, if you put it like that..." He grinned and moved back to the edge of the roof, lining up where he'd land on one, giving a nods of his head back towards him again.
"Ain't gonna turn this down then." He gave a small salute with two fingers before taking a leap with his legs together, landing down between the shoulders of one of the large men.
It wasn't graceful, he admitted that his fighting style never had been, but the man was down and while dirty, Altaite stood quickly with a smirk to the man's 3 companions, looking at all of them. Maybe that bad mood was starting to waver, finally. Plus this gives me some time to figure out how to explain myself. The teen grinned at them. And see how he works. His gaze followed back towards the General again, then to their prey. "Gonna be good, ain't it."

While the younger leapt down and took one of the men out he was more graceful perhaps, certainly calmer, as he stepped off the roofs ledge and landed on the ground. ignoring the jarring sensation of landing as he did he took two quick strides to the nearest man, one who was already headed for him. As they took a swing he ducked it and came up inside the much larger mans personal space. A gloved hand shooting out to slam his palm into the mans breast and send him stumbling backward gasping.
A glance to the younger, watching to make sure he was ok, he turned back around then. "Yes, this will be good. Gather their energy and than starseeds if you want." Normally he didn't rip starseeds but they needed to resupply on them and these people didn't seem like the best sort of person, he was sort of passing judgment on them.
As the man recovered and came at him, it looked like hw as planning on just barreling into him and knocking him over, the General stepped back several paces and as a swing came at him, aimed for his face, he leaned his head back at the same time as he teleported and reappeared behind the man. Kicking at the larger males lower back he sent him crashing to the ground and than like a hyena, or some other rapid animal, was on him. Small as he was the General was strong and not to be taken lightly.
Slender digits wound themselves into the mans hair and his head was lifted up before heading back toward the ground with a smacking sound. Looking up he stared at the younger. "Need any help?" As he figured this one would be down soon enough. His free hand came to hover above the mans back as he started to draw out whatever energy he could gather - taking the air right out of this idiots sails.

Altaite was stunned. Not physically, but his eyes were hungrily watching his superior at work. The burly man didn't stand a chance against Benitoite and Altaite stared for a moment, only being jolted when he was addressed directly. "Yes!" There were still two others to deal with, but he took the opportunity to gather energy from the first man he had slammed in the back from his fall. It was slow, but steady, he held his hand out and copied the movements of his General.
Until a punch was aimed by his head by one of the remaining drunkards. He moved swiftly from the man, turning to kick at him with a well placed kick. "Nothin' to worry about over here!" He smirked and struck the man in the neck, kicking the wobbling man over. But he wasn't so easily backed off and he rolled, turning back against the teen and charging in rage.
"Aw s**t."

From his perch, gathering energy, he watched with slate hued eyes. He hadn't seen this lieutenant of his in a long time, too long really, and he wasn't about to let him get hurt tonight. Tonight he got to reconnect and take the other under his wing and train him where he needed it, though so far he seemed to be doing well.
"Good to know." The general responded to the other, glad to see he was doing well and holding his own against the other men. This one had some skill with fighting and didn't mind a good fight from what he could tell. He wouldn't have to work with him on fighting, and by that he meant getting him to want to engage, and style wasn't something he thought much on. However...this one might like training with a certain other General he knew...he might just suggest that.
"I got it. I got your back." And he would - in a moment. The man he'd been perched on, gathering energy from, found himself giving a weak, but no less pained, scream as the General's hand sunk into his back and moments later came out with his starseed held firmly in his gloved hand. Pocketing it he stood up, ignoring the now, or soon to be, lifeless body as he went to intercept the one charging his lieutenant.
Summoning his weapon he didn't put the bladed spear end to use but rather the back end. Swinging it with as much force as he could, which was a substantial amount, he aimed the end of the weapon for the mans face. "Pathetic people - acting without thinking." Sniffing, nose up in the air, he stared down at the man he'd just smacked good and hard.

Altaite was stunned by the precise, calm movements of the General as the other man fell to the ground. Damn. Excitement filled his brain, that same rush that he had back when he was corrupted initially and he found himself staring again, turning back to the final man. The one the General had been over was limp, and the one he'd landed on was down for the count, and now another had been slapped down mid-charge. Only one more remained, and he was stuck in shock nearby.
Might as well finish this. He gave Benitoite a nod as thanks and he quickly rushed at the man. It sure the hell didn't look well practiced, but he did manage a jab to the man's neck, turning to kick him down alongside his friends. Though, the man was far from done and flailed as he tried to get up.
"No you don't." Altaite was swift and moved over, stomping on the man's face a few times until he stopped moving. He panted and caught his breath slowly, looking at the pile of men they had. "....Thanks." It was simple, and quick, but his eyes flashed back to the General for a moment, before he moved back to taking energy, his hand over one. It was still relatively slow since he hadn't had much experience with any of it.
But damn did it feel good.
The adrenaline was swimming through his veins. Realistically, it didn't matter if these were really the guys that had jumped it before. That weight had been lifted and he felt vindicated enough. He let out an exhale and his body slowly calmed, his pale eyes staring at the back of the man he was slowly taking the energy from. "So..." He finally said. "How do I get it out of him?" It being the starseed. From what he glimpsed earlier, it had been somewhat easy for his superior. Yet it was obvious that he was well practiced, calm and collected as he worked. Altaite respected that.

Watching the other the General nodded his head. He would, for now, stand back and watch now that his Lieutenant wasn't at risk of being jumped from behind by one of these thugs. He would be keeping the other safe, and enjoying the fight himself - easy as it was.
Stepping back and leaning against the brick wall closest to him he tilted his head a bit and watched as the last remaining thug was handled by the black and red clad lieutenant. As the man was brought down and than stomped on a few times he felt his lips twitching, laughter even escaped him. Well, he certainly wouldn't be getting up - good. "You can, if you wish...end their lives." He said shrugging casually as he spoke of taking anothers life with ease. He'd done it enough over the years that it really wasn't a difficult thing for him to speak of, it came naturally at this point - as easily as talking about the weather.
"if you wish to let them live...well just drain them as much as you can. Just keep your focus, touching will help." He advised as he pushed off the wall and moved toward the other.
"To take that you press your hand against his chest...and keep pressing. your hand will go past all the normal barriers...just focus on what you want." He said before kneeling. "I'll help you this time." He spoke gently, wanting to help teach the other.

The teen glanced back at the laugh with a smirk of his own. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I'll take it. He thought, looking back at his sprawled out hand over the man and he nodded as he spoke. Internally, it seemed as if a knot was slowly being let loose and he continued to glare down at the man. The look on his face was stoic, but his eyes squinted several times as he thought.
As Benitoite spoke, Altaite could hear how casual he was. Somewhere he could hear his own voice screaming for it, but a small echo nearby trying to lessen it.
No free passes! It was loud and boisterous inside his head and he bit his lip to keep from yelling it aloud and turned back to the general. "I want to get it." He said, confidently, though his gaze betrayed his inexperience. "...Teach me." Altaite looked at him as he kneeled and he moved closer to him, staring down at the man, slowly moving his hand down to press against his chest, his own heart beating with excitement and anxiety. There were questions, so many questions. He could figure out there were obvious reasons the people weren't bleeding out from it, but it was still confusing since from what he could it was like putting your hand into water or something else with little resistance. But it's flesh. That damn small voice again.
He shook his head to himself and looked back. "Alright... I'll focus." He pushed on the man's back and stared. "I'm ready." I think...

Nodding his head to the other, proud, his smile turned into a smirk. "if you want it you shall take it then." And he would help the other in doing so, he would not simply give him verbal instructions, he'd help directly with the other taking it. It took some amount of skill to take one, especially if you didn't want to damage it or anything in the process, by gripping to hard or anything.
As he gave the verbal part of the instructions his gloved hand moved to cover the Lieutenants hand. "You want to grasp it, when you find it, but not tightly. I'll help - so it isn't shattered." With his own hand covering the Lieutenants he pushed both their hands into the mans chest, past every barrier there could, and should, be. "After a few times you'll have an easy time finding it...since it's not right there where your hand will immediately encounter it." He said in a low voice, no need to have a raised voice with how close they were.
"Now, let's find it. After that you can turn it in, we need more. If it's a senshi or knights and your in a battle - crush it. It stops them from being reborn - ever. Also, in a battle, it can be knocked from your hand and returned to their body and they live to fight another night." As he spoke he pressed their combined hands in further, his hand gliding over the others so his finger tips could do the searching and when they felt it he knew it and his hand slid back up and moved the others fingers to brush against it. "Feel that? The power. That's the starseed. Take a gentle hold of it."

Altaite felt his excitement spike when his hand was covered by the Generals and pressed inside the barriers of the man. He was surprised by the ease that they move through them and he nodded at his words. "Not tightly..." He repeated gently, the sensation of his hand somewhat tingling while inside of the man, his eyes flashed as his General continued to explain.
"Easily." He said, hatred laden in his voice while hesitation was nowhere to be found. After his encounter with the senshi before there was nothing more that he'd like to keep them away. He nearly lost concentration while he thought of it and snapped back to attention as his hand was pressed deeper. It was a strange, foreign feeling but his hand brushed against it.
"Ah, that's it!" Altaite exclaimed and he could actually feel it. He was glad that Benitoite mentioned being gentle since his first reaction was to squish it. His fingertips reached around it and he grabbed onto it as gently as he could. Warmth was at his fingertips and he swallowed at feeling the radiating energy from it.
"Okay, I have it." He said, his voice low now as he was trying to concentrate on it. Though now they were in a different dilemma. "How... does it come out?" He'd seen the General rip it out as if it were nothing. But he was here struggling to keep his fingers on it.
