 Something stirs in the shadows...The dire wolf lies in wait, eyes tracking its prey. But the land is treacherous, and competitors lurk in the darkness. For a moment, saber teeth glint in the dim light. Dire wolf's eyes on bison, smilodon's eyes on dire wolf -- who will survive?
Roll for the fate of the dire wolf. If you're lucky, he'll live, content and well-fed, to fight another day, maybe by your side. If not...

     Rules Please do not, under any circumstances, delete your post. Since we have no way of knowing if post deletion is innocent or not, anyone who deletes their post will be DQed.
This is only open to purewalker newbies (i.e. those who do not have breeding rights to a purewalker).
The text in the first post is just flavor text -- it has no bearing on the soquili's background, story, personality, or shop canon!
Proxying is okay!
However, you can only proxy for someone or play for yourself, not both -- if you proxy, you can't play for yourself. Sorry D: Someone brought to my attention that there might be disputes.
Event pet rules:
- You may only win 1 paid raffle pet, plus 1 freebie and 1 auction in each of the soquili and familiar categories.
- You may only pass up on a prize if the pet was a surprise (i.e. not shown before you started participating in the game/contest). You can only pass up once in the event, and can't change your mind later.
- If you give away or co-own an event pet with a friend, the pet will count as the event pet for both of you; neither of you will be eligible for another.
- Event-themed customs and breedings do not count towards the event freebie limits. They have standard breeding & custom cooldowns. How to Play
Copy the form at the bottom of this post, fill it out, and roll five 20-sided dice.
After the post goes through, add up all the even numbers together and subtract all the odd numbers from this sum. You may get a negative result! Edit the numbers into your post.
- Example: If you roll 10, 10, 20, 15, 5, here's the math: 10 + 10 + 20 = 40. From that you get 40 - 15 - 5 = 20. This number, 20, is your final result.
- Method 1 (easiest): use this Microsoft Excel document I made for this game; put your rolls into the highlighted row and it'll calculate everything for you!
___Don't send your filled spreadsheet to me -- I'm just linking it here as a quicker calculation alternative <3
___I'll be double-checking all results by maintaining a copy of this spreadsheet on my own!
- Method 2: place the appropriate signs in front of the numbers and paste this into Chrome's address bar or to Google; it'll calculate automatically!
- Method 3: do this manually, by hand or using a calculator
The winner is person with the highest number at the end of the game!
- In the case of a tie, the pet will be raffled among the people with the highest number.
Rolling error troubleshooting:
- If you forget to roll, don't worry! Please make a new post with the correct roll, and please quote me in the new post.
- If you roll too few dice -- please make a new post with the missing dice, and please quote me in the new post.
___This will not replace your previous roll, only add on to it (ex. if you rolled 4 dice, you'd make a new post with one roll that counts as the 5th die).
- If you roll the wrong kind of dice, ex. d6 or d100 instead of d20 -- please make a new post with the d20 dice, and please quote me in the new post.
- If you roll too many dice -- nothing happens! Please edit your original post to quote me. You don't need to do anything else, though -- only the first 5 numbers will be counted.
