Góðan dag! This thread is for plotting/recruiting for the League of Sogn, an alliance of Knights.

Sognefjorden

The Sognefjord (or Sognefjorden) is the largest and best known fjord in Norway and the second longest on Earth. Located in Sogn og Fjordane county in Western Norway, it stretches 205 kilometres (127 mi) inland from the ocean to the small village of Skjolden. The fjord takes its name from the traditional district of Sogn. The name Sogn is very old, and it originally belonged to the fjord. A parallel name for the district in Norse times was Sygnafylki. The first element in this name is the genitive of sygnir which means "people from Sogn" and the last element is fylki which is an old form of "fylke" which translates as "county".

The knighthoods

This league, for plot purposes, will span it's beginnings back to at least the Viking Age, the period A.D. from late 8th century to mid 11th century, and thus is older that the 1000 years ago timeline given of the Silver Millennium. Whether the houses were knighthoods magical, or just noble clans and petty kingdoms, can't really be determined with the Past Life information known. But at the time of the Silver Millennium, and the fall of it, each of these was a Wonder with a Knight!

My personal preference for members of the league is to follow these stipulations:
# Be an Earth Knight
# Be inspired/influenced by Viking Age design for appearance. (the requirement for knights is the 5th to the 15th century, the "medieval era" so the 8th-11th of the Viking Age is within that. )

** Sognefjorden: As the larger whole of the Fjord group would, by shop rules, be quest-able as a Wonder name. My own personal preferences is that it not be used. It would imply an 'authority' over the partitive wonders, which, while cannot be officially imposed over other characters and players, would be awkward to have in existence. I cannot force this request, however! I'd prefer if it was reserved, because of implied authority, as the temporary title for the elected leader of the 8 houses of the League! (the name of the whole greater fjord as the speaker for the league when they acted as such, and their own title for private business)

Possible Lore:

All the knights of the Sogn are Herse, and they elect one Jarl from their number (whoever is wisest) to serve with other Earth jarls under the King (Endymion)
The League of Sogn, with 8 houses, had the capability of four thousands of brawny, aquatic-capable warriors with glimmer torcs and plush furs.
Members of the fjord house would have been responsible for their own ships~ Given the amount of communication and possible technology in the Silver Millennium (looking at Tron Mecury and Steampunk Pluto), stargoing vessels existed. A raiding culture wouldn't pass that up! So the Fjords should each have at least one stargoing ship each.
past!Naer had a large vessel that could hold in its cargo a smaller warship/traditional longboat that could also stargo, but was for the raiding. The larger manned by 82, the raiding ship by a selection of 41. The larger is the Sae Hrafn, the smaller just Hrafn. Naer going in force to any place could field 12-15 ships at banner, and therefore about 5-600s fighting warriors.
