If there are plants living there its a garden, but what if its also where dead people live. Garden? Or graveyard?

Frit walked around the grassy area. This place was different from the garden she usually frequented, that meant new things, and new things were Frit's favorite. The imp pulled out the camera she had refused to give back to her herbology class and sought out some new plant life. The imp's eyes lit up as she saw a gloomy looking plant, Frit scampered over to it and got a good picture of it first. Then the girl really looked at the plant. It was strange. It almost looked like fur. "Hummm..." She murmured before reaching out a hand to inspect the material. "What?! What manner of plant is this?!" The girl exclaimed as she realized she had just pulled on actual fur, not really a plant at all. Green Minuet I was thinking that could be your kid's tail, the fur, or it can be a plant or w/e, whatever works for you smile

It would be a lie to say that Melogene had been minding her own business. True, she was not bothering anyone for the time being, though the worms might have appreciated it if she stepped back a bit. On her hands and knees with her ear pressed to the ground, Melogene listened. For what? Well, lots of things! What a waste it would be not to listen. After all, the earth made a home for more than a few creatures. Suddenly she felt a yank on her tail. Melogene shot bolt upright. Without thinking, she phased incorporeal. Her form flickered, and then a second later, she sat perched on tombstone beside the tail-puller. She swung her legs out. “Well, that wasn't nice,” she said with a grin. She patted her tail. “You've got to be careful or some plants might bite back!”

Frit dropped her camera notebook and pen when the strange plant diapered, then appeared and started talking. "Oh! Your not a plant!" The child said, still a little stunned. Then the imp's mind caught up with that had been happening and registered what the not-really-a-plant had to say. "What?!" The girl exclaimed, her ears, brain, and mouth all finally working together. "There are plants that can bite back?! Oh golly! Tell me everything!!!" Quickly Frit scrambled around in the dirt, collecting her notebook, pen, and camera. Maybe this girl knew where some were right now and would show her. As Frit focused all her attention on the not-really-a-plant girl, she realized manners were a thing. "Oh! Im Frit, by the way, your tail is real soft."

Melogene Nightshade Melogene nodded sagely. "All kinds. Mostly in the deep forest, where everything grows dark and wild." Or so the spirits had told her. Who knew what grew in the heart of the woods? She continued, "Some may reach out and grab you, and others have mouths full of fangs to capture prey. Weeds uproot themselves to suffocate trespassers, ivy shambles across the earth, and flowers pump poisonous fumes. And sometimes, on the darkest nights, when the moon is black, even the trees themselves wail..."
During her tangent, Melogene had acquired a distant gaze. Her eyes grew wide, though her stare remained fixed on the horizon. Suddenly she glanced back down at Frit. "That's what I've heard anyway," she said, voice cheerful. Hopping down from her perch, she clasped the other child's hands. "I'm Melogene and I really like your horns!"

Fritillaria Meleagris Frit had stared as the other kid's gaze grew distant. It was like something had come over her... Maybe it was all the knowledge of that forest making her feel overwalmed. Yeah, that had to be it thought Frit, knowledge WAS pretty great. "Call me Frit!" Frit replied and shook Melogene's hand stiffly. "So, where did you say these werds, mushrooms and trees are? Ide really like to see them!" Frit fidgeted with the camera, she really wanted some pictures of these exciting sounding plants.

Melogene Nightshade Releasing the imp's hands, Melogene shrugged. "Somewhere deep in the forest. I don't really know for sure," she said. Her face lit up though, and her eyes glowed a little brighter. "But I do know someone we can ask! Follow me!"
Turning away from Frit, Melogene hopped up and scampered over a tombstone. She landed in the brush behind and tumbled out on the other side. Without checking to see if her newfound companion was following, she bounded across the graveyard, towards the edge of the forest. There the hedges and flowers grew unruly and wild, unchecked by the grave keepers. The graves themselves were ill-kept and many of their words fading. Melogene stopped at one overgrown with moss and cracked with ivy.
Careful to avoid standing directly over the grave she knocked against the stone. "Good morning! Is anyone there?"

Fritillaria Meleagris Frit carefully folded her notebook up and slipped it into her bag, then ran helter skelter after the other girl. Her warm sweater caught on branches, and leaves were tangling in her hair, but she was determined to keep up with the other girl. There was knowledge to be found and by golly she was gonna find it! As Frit ran into the open she paused, surveying the land. The plants here were growing quite wonderfully, and Frit half hoped her new friend Melogene was leading her to the secret of the plants' amazing growth. Frit stopped behind Melogene, and pulled out her notebook and pen again. She cocked her head as the other nightmare seemed to ask something of the thin air. "What are these?" Frit asked, inclining to the gravestones. "And who are you talking to?"
