Ammo (If any): 120 rounds, two reloads. One clip is Earth aspect dust, the other is lightning aspect. The dust rounds are spread out through the clip, every 20th shot, and they are easy to tell by the glowing color that matches the element of the dust used. Like any heavy machine gun he has to remove the clip, meaning it takes a full post to switch from one clip to another. (If this is okay. If not I can go to standard machine gun.)
Weapon description: Broken sun is a bladed shield with a hold in the center of it for the gatling gun to fire from. Because of the rate of fire and kickback of the weapon, Marten has to have himself braced against something to fire it. He typically uses his semblance to anchor his feet or build a wall. If he can't do that, he will use a tree or building. When the gun is not in use Marten has a special hook on his back to hold the gun portion in place and still use the shield.
In close range Marten has two options with the weapon. The first is to connect the chains of ammo together and then use the shield like a whip or yo-yo of doom. The second is to split the shield and attach the halves onto the backs of his arms as bladed arm guards/bucklers.
Weapon Range: Primarily long range AoE, with limited short range function.
Your Semblance: Rock and a Hard Place
Semblance description: Marten is able to manipulate stone, making it liquid and then making it harder than it was before. This causes the stone to take on a yellow hue, much like his semblance and namesake. He currently has three abilities with it: Wall, Anchor, and Trap. He is able to move the stone through something similar to telekinesis so he doesn't have to touch the stone, just concentrate on it.
Wall: Forms a wall, six feet long by five feet tall.
Anchor: Molds the stone around his feet up to his knees to hold him steady while using his gun.
Trap: Liquefies stone in an area for any enemy to step in. If the enemies speed is higher than his semblance control, then the enemy escapes. Leaves a slightly glowing spot on the ground.
Post duration: Wall requires two posts to form and stays until destroyed. Anchor requires one post to activate and form, staying until it is broken. Trap takes a one post setup and remains for 2-3 posts depending on Martens Aura level.
Cooldown: Wall has a six post cool down. Anchor has a two post. Trap has a two post cool down starting after expiration.

Looks: His hair is a bright blonde and he keeps it trimmed fairly short, letting it flow out as much as it will. Always dresses for comfort, wearing jeans more often than not. He like to wear heavy combat boots, enjoying the weight of it on his feet. He also is hardly ever cold, only putting a light jacket on if needed. When in battle, or on a mission, Marten prefers wearing heavy armor that covers most of his body except for his head.
Personality: Marten likes to joke around, making more puns than he probably should. He tries to joke about everything. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, feeling they are more like family.

Background Information
Marten was born in Atlas and started his schooling there. His parents were of course members of the military, with Marten initially wanting to follow in their footsteps. When he started school he began trying several types of weapons, not knowing what his future Semblance would complement. When he found a weapon he liked, the bladed arm guards, he discovered he didn't have the coordination for it. He was slightly disheartened but kept trying to better himself.
On the day his Semblance awoke he was overjoyed even if he couldn't really control it. When he began to explore the ability of his Semblance one of the first things he did was anchor himself in place while trying to use his powers in a fight. His only real choice was to lock his arms together and use his guards as a shield. After that fight he decided to shift focus to a shield as his primary weapon, while switching from pistols to a machine gun.
Using his families knowledge and his own preferences, Marten was able to figure out how to make his shield work around the turret gun as well as split apart when he needs to fight up close. It didn't take him many battles to decide that he needed something that could help him maintain a decent circle around himself for protection. That caused him to use the ammo clips for his gun as a flexible handle to make his shield into a whip-type weapon.
As a faunus, Marten did his best to prove he wasn’t anything like the members of the White Fang. However, he still found himself on the receiving end of teasing and bullying. One of the primary reasons for his request to leave was that even his own team would join in the teasing, even if they didn’t do it on most occasions.
