- George Burns

Hobbies: Performing: Candace Morton is a triple-threat. She can act, she can sing, and she can dance – and she excels at it. What other choice did she have? As a late teen, she played a supporting role as Portia Janae in the ensemble musical-comedy television series
Choir which followed a high school competitive show choir. Although her character was much beloved for three seasons as her character anchored a popular romance on the show with a popular heartthrob, her fame became a flash-in-the-pan as her role in the ensemble diminished and the show was eventually canceled for being deemed “terrible” and “exhausting.” She struggled to break out of the typecast and reputation from the show and although committed to performing, she decided to take her talents elsewhere and start inspiring youth to be performers, taking a job at Romano’s Constitutional Haven. Although she longs to return to her own glory days in fear of becoming a has-been...
Fashion: If you are going to be the center of attnetion, you better look good doing it. Candace adores fashion and doesn't step out of the house in anything that wouldn't be fitting for a paparazzi to take a photo of her - not that that has happened as of late, especially since moving to Destiny City. She is often out shopping and finding red carpet events with photographers so she can show off her looks. She is often known to travel to attend fashion weeks, hoping some line would pick her up as their new model.
Social Media: The easiest way to get attention in this day in age: social media! Candance is active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat where she has a sizable following on all platforms from former Choir fans, and often updates her fans with fairly personal details of her life.
Auditioning: Please, someone give her another job in Hollywood or Broadway. Please.
Virtues: Outgoing: Candace is an open book and ready for adventure. She maintains a positive attitude and is happy to lead the charge in trying new things or go with the flow. She isn't one to say no to any opportunity and challenges herself frequently to try new things and see where they may lead her.
Empathetic: She gets you. She feels you. She wants to know you and study you and understand you completely and what you are going through. Part of this is because as an actress, she wants to draw in from your experiences, but she wears her emotions on her skin and can easily connect to others. Are you feeling down? Candace will be there by your side and feeling your pain. It's okay. You're not alone.
Witty: Yes, and? Like many actresses, Candace knows how to improve, which requires a quick wit. She's fast on her feet and able to come up with solutions to problems or crack a timely joke. When faced with a stressful situation, she's ready to lighten the move and get s**t done all at once.
Flaws: Theatrical: As an actress, Candace learned to project her character for the back row of the audience. And for Candace, the world is her theatre – everyone, watch her! So yes, she did need to cry over that spilled milk because how else would anyone know how she felt about it? And acting is reacting. GASP! How offensive to act as though it is strange for her to give a toast to the bride and groom to a wedding where she is just the plus one of a distant cousin. The bride may get upset, but she better not get dramatic about it, because being dramatic is Candace’s thing and if you take it from her she is going to just scream! Truly, she’s a treasure to be around and watch.
Self-Centered: All eyes on her – she’s the star of her own narrative and the rest are just supporting characters. This isn’t a particularly cruel outlook: she’s a hero in her story, so she spends her time being nice, but things are ultimately all about her. As a good friend, she’d lend her support when someone close to her is feeling down and blue. But for that act of kindness, she expects a Noble Peace Prize or something. Experiencing any common learning moments of everyday life? She’ll insist hers are more outstanding and express her newfound “wisdom” to all who can hear her. She thinks very highly of herself: Every action, idea, and fart deserves an award, recognition, or praise.
High Expectations: If she’s the star of the show and the rest are her supporting characters, then they better be up to par. She expects a lot out of people: ambition, drive, competitiveness, and commitment to match her own. For those who don’t have what it takes, expect a healthy-dose of criticism meant to light a fire under your a**. She won’t belittle just to be mean, she wants to inspire the best. This can be particularly true with her students and mentees, as well as in her more personal relationships.
