Tri flew above the road from Norcrest to Aldas, close enough to see the top of the cars instead of little blips that looked like ants. Ree flew just above him, the light blue tip of his wings disappearing every now and then, matching the sky just above him as they flew.

They flew in silence, barely talking since the night of that fail attempt to rescue Kae. Right now they were trying to get back to their starting point and find Hexxis by following the freeway. Planning to teleport once they hit the midpoint between Norcrest and Aldas and fly the rest of the way in.

The new base was finally finished. Better equipment, better technology... Better use for their resident supercomputer. The company itself was en route to Aldas, all lined up in a row along the freeway. To the average person, they made quite the intimidating entourage. Three trucks and two regular cars, with the center truck being nearly windowless.

Inside was said supercomputer, a teen Meta by the name of Anadii. As they drove, the Still Life maintained watch through the cameras they'd attached to the vans, on the lookout for possible hijackers or threats to their security. Teldhet was still a fairly new organization meant to track and detain dangerous criminals, but it was already making a name for itself in the area.

One more sweep across the sky and the camera froze, then zoomed in. Anadii blinked, blankly scanning over the figures in the camera's view as he simultaneously went through his database. Metas were on many bounty lists...

Ah, two hits. He examined the information in the database, and then activated the speakers attached to the back of the van he was riding in. "Code 3: Two overhead. Arm and prepare to detain." The monotone voice was loud enough to be heard even as high up as the two were flying- not that Teldhet really cared. Immediately they were scrambling within their vans, preparing the nets...

Meanwhile Anadii continued to watch, all cameras turned overhead...

Tri and Ree both tilted their heads as they approached the entourage, a large hum was bothering their ears but they just looked curious not moving closer but flying onward over them instead. (Electric Sense x2)

"......" lightly touching the com he made sure it was stable as he narrowed his eyes toward the main van trying to catch sight of the name but it was blurry from this distance instead the symbol nagged at his mind. It was familiar but he wasn't quite certain from where.

"Targets moving ahead. Ready nets." Anadii turned the cameras to watch them, blinking once more as he observed them. They seemed unperturbed by the entourage preparing themselves.... perhaps they hadn't noticed yet. "Initiating surrender sequence." On one screen he brought up the script - normally he wouldn't be the one reading this but the administrator was not present. He brought out the megaphone, aiming it towards the flying Metas overhead, and then breathed in to speak.

"Attention: You have 5 minutes to surrender yourselves or we will open fire." Monotone as usual, the script really didn't come off as intimidating at all, or barely even commanding. Machines didn't need tones, after all.

"Attention: You have 5 minutes to surrender yourselves or we will open fire."

Tri was already watching the microphone raise up out of the protected car in the middle when the announcement was made. "...Quick and fast. Disable the hum and move on. Don't get them or yourself killed" his voice was quiet as he back winged waiting for Ree to answer through the Comm on their ears.

"............Confirmed" was the soft reply after a moment of hesitance as if getting angry would take to much energy. They both back wing now until they were hovering above the freeway as the entourage approached. They raised their hands in surrender as they started to lower.

Tri pulled the shadows in the area to try and darken the area surrounded the entourage and themselves before they both broke away from their previous position by flying up a bit, then flying forward toward the middle van before the entourage broke out of the darkness. (Darkness manipulation. Light artifact: 1 used lvl 8 to cause damage)

Anadii watched blankly as they raised their hands, starting to descend... where some of the Teldhet members began to relax, he remained steadfast. If they start to surrender immediately, keep your eyes on them. Those were the instructions he'd been given in the past, and he wasn't about to go back on them now. Not that he particularly cared one way or another, caring was for organic creatures. Machines simply do as they were told.

"Shadow manipulation in progress. Brace for impact." It was already too late by the time he'd noticed the shadows creeping closer. The van rocked violently as the shadows hit- causing Anadii himself to smack against his casing. He blinked, not really feeling the pain it should have caused, and proceeded to go through an internal scan.

Three of his cameras were damaged... leaving him with three more on the top of the van. He would no longer be able to see ground attacks. Some of the lesser devices seemed damaged, nothing he couldn't fix upon arrival at the new base, but it would render them useless for now.

"Commence detainment process." It was then that he noticed that his megaphone seemed a little... garbled. Well, they could command themselves even if he couldn't tell them what was going on. While the others began aiming their nets, he set to work repairing the one item that did need immediate attention...

The control unit for all of their cars which had been smashed by some of the falling objects.

As they moved closer, Tri started to build up the electricity in his body and let out an electric blast toward the middle car. ((Electric Surge: Rolled: 30 damage))

Ree blinked, eye wide as he tried to get event the smallest bit of light to see with int he shadows, usually Tri allowed a tiny bit enough for a Cat to see when he cast it. Seeing the middle car he turned and followed as the cars speed out of the Darkness Manipulation range. Waiting a few seconds after Tri's electrical attack he speech himself up using telekinisis (Telekinisis) then tried to phased through the back. (Racial Ability: Phase)

Anadii remained locked onto repairing his control unit, it was necessary for keeping them all together. Teldhet had made the mistake of trusting their supercomputer with not only watching for attacks, but also controlling their speed, and route towards their new base. It would be a mistake they would never make again.

The electricity did little damage to Anadii himself, as the truck took most of the damage. Two tires exploded from the surge, causing it to lose its grip on the road. The skidding cause him to lose his grip on the control unit, sending it flying into the wall of his container. It shattered, immediately sending the other cars into chaos. Some accelerated dlfar ahead, the remaining sped off of the road in opposite directions. It would take time for the drivers to regain control.

Combined with the shock he'd received (current hp: 65, took 10 from the Surge) the rattling he received left him completely out of sorts, unable to try and reconnect to the other cars before they got out of range.

When he finally managed to right himself, his systems were alerting him to an intruder. What was the protocol here....? He had no access to the wider Web, his admin was not present, and he had no way to free himself from his container even if he managed to detain the intruding Meta. Logically, surrender would be optimal. He quickly searched his files for the answer... There was none.

"Intruder alert. I am unable to proceed with detainment. Message logged at (time). Protocol for this event has not been established. All caravan members have been removed from my communication range. Files have been cleared. Commencing shut down." He then proceeded to wipe all of the files in the still accessible electronics, save for his own. Ree could probably hear him leaving the message, but he didn't care. The intruder would do as he pleased.

Once his tasks were completed, he simply stared out at the other Meta who had surely finished phasing by then.

"Tri! I thought you said no killing any one!" Ree hissed in alarm forgetting that communications were cut until he could solidify again.

Ree solidified after casting a quick glance around and deeming it safe other than for what had to be a meta at the end of the van. A meta the reminded him of one of the gaming mouses he used to have but in green instead of blue and was also the source of the hum.

"Intruder alert. I am unable to proceed with detainment. Message logged at (time). Protocol for this event has not been established. All caravan members have been removed from my communication range. Files have been cleared. Commencing shut down."

"Tri.....there is a meta here, it's the source of the hum. Is there any immediate danger?" Ree said the light in his eyes strengthening slightly as the other meta caught his curiosity. Yet,he was still alert for an attack not caring that it was deleting files, they had only been defending themselves.

"....Not for the moment. 3 minutes. Ask if they want help, if not leave them "

Ree stared back at him once it seemed the Meta was not actually going to move. "Hello...." he tilted his head slightly with a faint frown as he observed the other meta. Noticing he wasn't restrained or even collared, was there willingly. "Do you want to leave?" he said quietly, pulling his wings in to make himself seem a little less non-threatening.

He eyed the other Meta, watching his wings folding back to make him appear less intimidating than Anadii knew him to be. According to the protocols, he knew he shouldn't be speaking with this person - Ree, according to the database - but he was currently outside of the protocol range...

"I am unable to leave." He answered flatly, eyes momentarily glancing to the door on his container. "I do not have the administrative rights to the access keys." The door itself would be simple to open, but Anadii had been trained to leave it alone.

Ree blinked slowly and glanced at the door and back at the meta. "So ...if the door was open. Would you want to leave?" he said keeping an eye on the other meta but stepping back toward the door carefully as the popped tires tilted the car off to one direction. It acted more like a robot than Hexxis did...not something he thought was possible. Then again....... eh hehehe.

Waiting for the answer to that question he touched the handle and tried to see if he could open it from the inside without a key.

"2 minutes, They are regaining control"
PostPosted: Sat May 28, 2016 5:30 pm

Would you want to leave?

The question did not make sense. He was never asked if he wanted anything. Machines did not want, they simply were. Anadii watched as the other Meta moved. The shifting weight caused a device in his container to lean to one side, nearly hitting Anadii in the head before it came to a stop. It would take the others several minutes to turn around and relocate him even after regaining control of their cars... He shifted his gaze to the device, noting that it would eventually collapse in that position.

"My container is no longer structurally sound. I would move to safer ground if the door was open." He shifted his gaze back in time to see Ree touching the door. The door being touched meant it was time to move. He shifted, moving around the fallen device as he stood to approach the door, but stopped just in front of it. He was not allowed to see how to open the door, after all.

It turned out that the door itself already had the key in it, just waiting to be turned. Anadii was programmed enough that he would never reach out and test to see if it was truly locked, so they had no reason to actually remove the key ever.

"My container is no longer structurally sound. I would move to safer ground if the door was open."

Ree blinked tensing when the other meta got up and moved to the door, staring up at the door instead of the handle. ".....Well, I'll take that as a yes" he let himself smile only very faintly but didn't approach the door or the smaller meta. "Tri, er.... he? agreed...kinda. Can you do a jump? "

".....incoming"

"Not going to harm you but um. just stay still okay?" he muttered casting a glance as Tri phased through the van itself too.(racial power: phase)

Tri looked at the other meta and blinked showing a faint look of surprise as he spotted the other meta. Casting a quick look around he was tempted to grab something but resisted the urge, they didn't have to have any other problems added to their list...like how this meta will react. Solidifying he look at both of them and pulled shadows to them trying to Shadow Jump them nearly a mile ahead.(( Shadow Teleport 3 left)
PostPosted: Sat May 28, 2016 9:08 pm

Anadii blinked, mentally reaching out with his technokinesis to see if Ree was communicating via walkie-talkie or something... Not that he would do anything about it, but it was still useful knowledge to have. He never delved into the files of the criminals they captured, only sought their names and faces.

The instruction to stay still was met with a nod. He cared little if they intended to harm him, if he stayed he'd be harmed and it wasn't as if his physical housing unit wasn't harmed by the others on occasion anyway. "I will remain still." He finally answered, then shifted his eyes to gaze at Tri when he appeared in the van.

They looked very similar in person, too... He would go through their files later, there wasn't anything in the protocol that told him he was not allowed to do so...

When the Shadow Jump started, he remained perfectly still as he'd said he would, allowing it to pull him along how ever far Tri was able to do it. Of course, when they reappeared at the destined area, Anadii came to the sudden realization that he was outside of his contact zone, with no way to communicate with his administrator... Or the other Teldhet operatives.

This was definitely not in his programming. For the first time, he felt something strange- a sort of hum in the back of his skull, hair starting to raise on end as something unfamiliar set in. A more experienced person would call it "anxiety" or maybe even "panic," but Anadii had no words for these things. Emotions were not something he usually felt.

Eyes slightly widened, he looked around without moving his head, body still stiffly in place. He needed an administrator. He needed the chain of command. He couldn't access things without permission, after all.

"I am outside of my operating zone." He announced suddenly, turning his gaze back to the other Metas. The little glowing markings across his skin, as well as his eyes, began to flicker a little as the unnamed distress continued to rise. He needed to restart, clearly. "Commencing restart, my system is compromised." And without another word, the lights dimmed as he suddenly went limp.

Tri pulled away and turned toward the black and green meta, silver eyes narrowing slightly as Ree backed away as well until they were on either side of the smaller meta.

They helped him get out but it didn't mean he might not have been there willingly or could try to stop them once they try to leave.

"I am outside of my operating zone."

Tri blinked and frowned faintly as he extended his wings in warning "What do mean?"

"Commencing restart, my system is compromised."

".....Restart?" Ree muttered looking perplexed.

"...." Tri stepped forward and grabbed the smaller meta before he hit the ground: "..........." slowly lowers him to the ground. "Ree...check him"

Ree already moved forward and rested his hand on the young meta's shoulder. Sensing for anything wrong? ((Healing lvl1: sensing problems))
