█ BACKGROUND
Ian wouldn't admit to having the best upbringing. He had an older brother who loved to torment him which made his childhood really complicated. On one hand, he really wanted his brother's acceptance and love. A couple times Odin would invite him to play videogames or make bullies back off him at school. On the other hand, he really hated the way Odin treated him majority of the time. When he was in middle school he learned about his brother's drug abuse and got to watch first hand the effects it had on someone's life. He watched his father get robbed blind, he watched some of his own possessions vanish. Odin was stealing from them. The guy really needed help. To this day Ian regrets not doing anything. As the two got older Odin just got worse. He'd overhear his mother and father talking about Odin possibly ending up on the Slaver Division's radar.
Hell, his brother had gotten arrested on a few occasions where their father paid the bail, fines, and court fees. It wasn't until Odin was sentenced to jail that the family took things seriously. Ian, who had never really been the center of attention, really focused on his studies and takes people seriously. He has always just wanted to help people since he understands so many people are suffering through their own inner turmoils.
