Bracks doesn't really care where his name came from or why he was given it, but if someone were to be brave enough to ask Poppadile- he'd mention something about brackish water and the tiny bipedal frog-like creatures called grippli that he's so fond of devouring.

Bracks has never really understood the concept of gender or what the mud it's supposed to mean, but he does understand that Poppadile identifies as male and Mommadile identifies as female... and he'd much rather be more like Poppadile than Mommadile; thus, he prefers he/him pronouns.

Profile: CURIOUS SELF-SERVING ADVENTURER
Having been raised in the swamp, around trolls who are very determined to ignore the color of one's blood and, instead, focus on their merit; Bracks' opinions remain to be unswayed by the hemospectrum. He understands the basics, of course, seeing as he'd been told about it by other trolls... but he thinks the world would be a lot better off if it were based on the "survival of the fittest" way of the swamp.
With that said, Bracks is a troll with a muckin' mission. His mission? To visit the world outside the swamp. He's heard stories of it, of course, but in all the 3 sweeps of his existence, he's never once stepped foot outside of his hatchingplace. He wants to see for himself what the royalist scum are like- to determine for himself what the current society means to him. He's interested, too, in freely being able to view the rest of Alternia- to learn from it, as he has learned from the swamp.
Unfortunately, his lusus is not fond of the idea.
All of Bracks' escape attempts to date have been thwarted by Poppadile or in circumstances when he's managed to get a little bit away, by a well-meaning rebel. The fact that he's being kept in the swamp against his will, has only enforced his desire to get out.
He likes to be strong and show off that strength. He loves to fight, wrestle, play contact sports, and show off his muscular prowess in whatever means available at the time. He likes to improve himself both mentally and physically.
He's very much interested in learning about the rest of Alternia, and the experiences of the rebel trolls that live(d) there. He thinks LARPing sounds like a lot of fun and would love to participate in one. He has yet to discover anything he's truly afraid of and has a false sense of indestructibility because of it. He loves and respects his lusus, even though they have their disagreements.
He loves and respects Mommadile, even though she tries to cull him every time Poppadile turns his attention elsewhere for a few moments. His view on the dangers around him is a bit... skewed... and pain seems to do little to deter him. He's very confident in himself and his ability to survive. The best thing another troll can do is praise him or challenge him. He despises self-pity and weakness. He abhors wasted potential.
If it doesn't benefit him somehow, he doesn't muckin' care.
Strengths: CURIOUS
If there's something Bracks wants to know, then Bracks will find it out. He is on a constant pursuit of knowledge and understanding. He enjoys learning about the world around him and experiencing everything it has to offer. If he has a question, he will ask it. If it goes unanswered, he will find the answer himself. He utilizes his knowledge of the place around him to his advantage and he is not afraid to show that off a bit.
DETERMINED
Bracks is very assertive and prone to pushing hard for whatever he's decided he wants and/or needs. He utilizes his determination like a weapon. He is relentless when it comes to completing goals that he's set for himself and can't even begin to understand the reasoning behind "giving up" unless something new and shiny distracts him enough to make him forget about his previously chosen path.
RESOURCEFUL/ADAPTABLE
Bracks has grown up with very little, and has always been quite independent and clever-thinking because of it. He very much likes to tinker with things,and he can usually create stuff that is fairly usable out of stuff that wasn't very usable before. He's also very good at coming up with strategies to save himself on the fly. More often than not, he can rapidly turn a horrible situation into a bit of a better one; then move on to the next hurdle in one quick breath. He learns most things with ease, and absorbs information like a sponge absorbs mud (well).
Flaws: AGGRESSIVE
Bracks does everything with force. His voice is loud, his affection bruising, and his hands always ready to curl into fists regardless of the level of danger presented. Most of his more tumultuous emotions are expressed via aggression. This trait often puts him in a lot of rather dire situations- especially with royalists and other authoritative figures. He breaks his knuckles and toes a lot on things like trees or rocks or trolls or whatever else he's decided to take out his pent up feelings on. He has absolutely no idea how to properly express himself.
SELF-SERVING
Bracks doesn't care about anytroll but Bracks. He only does things for other trolls if there's something good in it for him and can rarely be bothered to lend a helping hand unless bribed first. He thinks trolls should be able to always defend themselves, and if they can't- well, they're probably better off culled anyway.
IMPULSIVE/RECKLESS
Plans? What are thoooooose? Bracks is all about action, action, action! He rarely stops to think about his decisions before he makes them and he is in a constant state of forward motion. He likes to do things, not think about them. If he wants to smash something's nest, he'll smash it's nest! If he wants to push sometroll into the mud, he'll push them into that mud! If he wants to go somewhere, he'll muckin' go there. He is forever unswayed by the opinion of others and rarely asks for it in the first place. He reacts somewhat viciously to criticism.
Weapon: TOOTHKIND
Bracks skillfully wields one of Poppadile's extremely sharp and convenientlysturdy molars. When not in combat, the toothdagger is in his pocket. Occasionally, it falls out of a self-made hole and he is forced to find it and later patch the offending hole.
Appearance: SMALL BUT DEADLY

Bracks is shorter than most trolls that have reached 3 sweeps of age. His body structure is noticeably petite, but his muscles are well taken care of by his daily survival among some of the swamp's most dangerous predators. He uses his small stature to his advantage; often outmaneuvering his enemies with his swift movements and small hitbox. When he needs an escape, he can stuff himself into places too small for other creatures to fit and he only needs the smallest bits of food to keep himself well sustained.
Atop his head is a mess of black hair, more or less unkempt. His teeth are a bit odd-looking, but strong (and his jaw, of course, is even stronger chomp chomp). He wears a half-sleeved hemotyped shirt beneath a pair of worn over-alls, and if he has to wear shoes, he chooses a pair of thick water-resistant boots that his feet strap into on the inside so he doesn't lose them in the mud. If he's not covered in bandages, he's covered in bruises or freshly healed cuts. He's not always quick enough to avoid Mommadile's blows, and occasionally he'll also injure himself while trying to get away from her.
He wears a crown of woven together twigs decorated with swampbeast molars as a way to mock the hemospectrum's values (and also because it looks ******** rad). Don't touch his ******** crown.
His horns look like tiny weird knobby antlers.
Home: SALAMIRE OUTPOST / THE CROCOSWUMP
Like the rest of the rebels, Bracks' hive is a treehouse situated high within the canopy. Unlike the rest of the rebels, he lives on the very outskirts of what could barely be considered Salamire, very close to the heart of the swamp. The water there is murky and covered in a thick green; where there's land, it's mostly thick troll-trapping mud. It is filled with fallen logs and swamp beasts, barely discernible from the flora and fauna of the Crocoswump. There's only one entirely unstable bridge that leads from Salamire, to the outskirts where Bracks lives. Not many trolls are daring enough to make the journey and the swampbeasts make it too dangerous for your average troll to repair. Thus, Bracks has done the majority of the work needed to maintain the bridge... and he gets distracted from his duties. Easily. (BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU STEP!
Lusus: POPPADILE
Bracks' lusus is an extremely large, incredibly intimidating swampbeast that has roamed the swamp for longer than most of the creatures currently living within it. He is fiercely protective of his home, and is very grumpy towards the growing re-population of trolls- though he has learned to begrudgingly accept their presence, so long as they don't come too close to his nest. He's done his best to teach Bracks the basics of surviving in the swamp, and has made sure the other crocs know not to eat the yellowblood.
Mommadile, the swampbeast that was first encountered by the rest of the rebels upon their arrival to the swamp, is Poppadile's mate. She hates trolls, and does her best to scare the mud out of them whenever possible. She's also very hellbent on trying to get Bracks culled, due to the fact that she thinks he's made Poppadile soft and also she's a jealous crocowitch.
