Briar had been upset with him from the moment he'd left. That she was at all comfortable with Rhiyn and the Heatmor who they shared the cabin with was one thing, but the thought of mixing willingly with so many people left her uneasy. She didn't truly understand Draven's need to protect people he didn't know.
It had in a way left her feeling betrayed, and then she in turn felt horrible for feeling that way. Guilt and worry had gnawed at her while he was away...and she had been a rather silent young lady during Draven's departure.
Baffled by him leaving yes. Mad.... slightly but more she was mad at herself for ehr feelings. Hearing Draven return though, she was...
scared and she did the simplest of things. She fled through the bedroom window and out into the woods for the time being. She wasn't ready to face him yet.
She had been hard on herself the entire time he was gone...and in the week he'd been away she'd changed. Her once long hair was now close cropped and very short. Her bright, girly dresses were now instead darker, heavy clothes like pants and sweaters. Things she could hide away in easily.
Briar wasn't the same, sweet Pachirisu that Draven had left. She was a shadow of her former self at this point, of her own making. She was miserable, and felt guilty for it.
