The morning had sucked and yet it was a bit of a lucky break for her. After spending a rather fruitless hour sitting on the cold cement busking one of her guitar strings broke in the middle of her song, other than a momentary pause Dessie didn’t show any reaction to the sharp twang of the metal snapping, she continued on with her song. Apparently that more than anything else gathered people to listen because by the time she finished the tune she had been playing, working around the broken string, she had a little bit of a crowd… and more money in the case then she had been expecting. Rather than waste the good will the young blond jumped right into the next three songs until she couldn’t really feel her fingers anymore and the crowd she had gathered had slowly dissipated. After packing up, slipping on her fluffy jacket, and shouldering her cased guitar Dessie had made enough to get a few spare strings and maybe even pick up some new music so with that in mind she began to make her way towards the store.
It was kind of hard to believe it was late January since the weather was more late fall then mid winter. Dessie’s jacket was more for her peace of mind then for the cold although after several hours sitting on the ground it was helping warm her up nicely. It was chilly out but not downright freezing like it was a few days ago, it's like the weather had no idea what it wanted to do not that the young blond was complaining since the warmer days gave her the perfect time to busk and make a few bucks. She might not have to live off the money anymore but she hated relying on the allowance Xander gave her, so any time she got a chance to she would find a good spot to set out her case and see what kind of takers she could get.
So with a pocket full of mostly change and ones Dessie made her way into the biggest music store in the city. No matter how much she made today because of the broken string she didn’t want to leave it that way so it was time to get it fixed.
