              Lyzulian's mortal life has always been and remains unknown to him, whatever he was as a mortal he forgot when he woke up in one of the districts that surround the soul society. It wasn't a bad or great neighborhood, all in all it was quite balanced and there wasn't some grand story to tell that involved his appearance. He was incredibly hungry...all the time. At first his family didn't believe him, but as he started to waste away they found him food. They could afford to feed him even if they didn't need to eat in the spirit world he was provided for. None of his 'siblings' were the same, they lacked any of the drive for food or the spiritual ability he held. It wasn't long before his ability was recognized and he was taken into the academy. Less than a year after he was 'reborn', and lacking memories of a mortal life, he was studying to be a shinigami.

              Lyzulian loves laughter, he adores it, he loves his own laughter most of all. Shortly after he learned his zanpakuto's name the pair of them began to prank others and cause trouble around the academy. He was nearly kicked out several times and did a lot of extra work early on, when he got caught more often. He was never incredibly skilled or poor at combat...but kido he excelled at exceptionally. Particularly when they were related to his blade's skills for illusion or cold. He aimed for the kido corps from early on, but most of his formative years were spent as the 'class clown'. He was rarely not causing some form of trouble, but he became quite good even then at not getting caught – though he was still punished a few times when the teachers in charge didn't even have proof! Those sore losers!

              He pursued mastery of kido because he loves it, not because of some other connection to others...but because he himself adores the art. He feels happy using kido, and practiced in his free time very often. Despite his joker nature, he never actually felt connected to his other classmates, and while he was never really bullied (he was more the occasional bully (specifically to other bullies) himself) he didn't care for people as much more than a means to play games.

              Not everyone even has an overly interesting story. Lyzulian had always been and remained exceptional with kido and was good enough at combat that he became good enough overall to hold his own with even captains when his various skills were put together. Eventually, he was given his status as a Captain in part to spite him, he had never been very authoritative, and being forced into a position that fit both his power level and was at odds with his personality forced him to grow up – if only a little. He does feel somewhat responsible for the people beneath him and doesn't want to rush anyone into a fight he doesn't think they could handle. This too is partly selfish. He likes his squad members because they share his interests in kido. He looks at them the same way someone might a favorite animal: “LOOK I taught her Danku, isn't she adorable!”

              He has learned several great skills as a captain socially and also how to be more responsible...but still doesn't have a great connection to people as more than other players in his schemes and games. His own squad he's loyal toward, and he will protect, but that isn't incredibly far reaching. It didn't take much convincing to get him to betray the former captain – what fun is peace after all? Why not make a little chaos and see what changes take place? Of course, a part of him was just one of those people that wanted to watch the world burn...

        Zanpakuto's Name :: Gosforth
        Zanpakuto Sealed Description :: Smaller than most zanpakuto, the size of a wakazashi as opposed to a full katana. There are gold, green, and black markings in a celtic rope pattern along the hilt.
        Zanpakuto Spirit :: A long shadowy snake.
        Zanpakuto's Personality :: Very akin to his own, it likes to cause trouble but it doesn't mind pulling pranks on it's master as well as others from time to time. Never in a serious moment where Lyzulian could be in danger but otherwise it is as much the trickster as he is.
        Zanpakuto Relationship :: They get along well and despite tricks played on each other they have a close connection, partners in crime as it were. Regardless of if released or not, Lyzulian's connection to Gosforth makes him constantly immune to any ill effects from cold.

        Shikai Appearance :: When released the Wakazashi breaks into a pair of daggers mirrored in appearance.

        Environmental Changes :: There is an aura of cold that accompanies the release. The temperature around Lyzulian and his blades drops by thirty degrees. As a result, on release fog billows out around him for twenty feet.


        Shikai Abilities ::
        [Flickers of Reality]: Gosforth can create images of people, either copies of Lyzulian, or images of anyone he wishes to make that he's seen before. These images reflect back all senses that could pick them out, sight, sound, vibration, etc. They are able to interact on a basic level with their environment and can flick small switches or carry small items. (Capable of exerting about 15lbs of pressure or carry that much). However, if touched by another creature larger than a cat (or cat sized) they flicker in golden light and vanish from view broken by the contact. He can continue to create these images but they can't do damage.
        Duration: Until dismissed or destroyed.
        Cooldown: None.

        [Hide in Plain Sight]: Gosforth can render Lyzulian invisible but if he takes aggressive action while actively using this ability it is broken in the same shimmering gold as above. He cannot reactive it for 3 posts after it's broken in this way. He can extend this invisibility to a small group as long as no two people are more than 15ft away from him, but if anyone in the group attacks, the invisibility is broken in the same way as if it were him attacking. In this form he is also immune to kido that would normally render someone invisible visible with an outline or other means.

        [Frozen Heart]: When attacks from Gosforth hit the intended target even on a minor strike, they can (he has to choose to use this ability when the strike hits) absorb the heat and emotion from their targets. Over time it makes them numb on more than a physical level, draining their resolve and simply making them apathetic to what's happening around them. Each of the paired daggers can use this ability seven times a piece before the heat is too much for them to absorb. Once faded, it takes a dagger used this way seven posts before it can be reformed.
        Duration: Until dismissed or destroyed.

        [Glacial Shield]: One or both of the pair of daggers can be left hanging in the air, it/they will form a further sheathe of ice around it/them. Further dropping the local temperature by another fifteen degrees for each dagger used this way (45/60 total). The blades will work on their own to guard Lyzulian from attacks and often is used to 'watch his back' in a group setting. It may still be used in Frozen Heart hits as above. This allows him to have his hands free to cast kido while his blade guards him.

        [Illusion Hail Strike]: - Utilizing the cold as well as the ability for his blade to cast illusions and combining it with kido Lyzulian can alter any kido spell he shoots to also have an ice, cold, or illusion element on top (or replacing in the case of fire kido) what he can do normally. He cannot use any fire kido as a result of this, all fire spells must be turned cold. An aggressive spell would have an ice aspect as well as whatever normally element, a binding spell would freeze or numb as well as bind, etc. He could add in the illusion that the spell is off center from where it actually is, making it more difficult to block or dodge his kido.

        Cooldown: Also depends on kido.

        [Suspended Animation]: Lyzulian completely freezes himself or another willing and/or helpless (someone downed that can't really move) target, over the course of several posts the frozen individual heals at an accelerated rate. However, they cannot do anything else and this is not of particular use if the person is locked in active combat.
        Duration: 20 posts or 2 minutes (whichever comes first)

        [Skating]: Much like the name, this ability allows Lyzulian to move along the ground or in the sky as if he were on ice skates, forming lines of ice as he moves allowing for much faster movement. He doesn't have to cry out his abilities to use them...

        Duration: The paths melt behind him, so instantaneous.
        Cooldown: He can continue to use this as long as his Shikai is out.

        Shikai Stability :: Stable unless left in a place of extreme heat (200+ degrees) for an extended period.

        Bankai Appearance :: The paired daggers extend to a pair of spears.

        Environmental Changes ::There is an aura of cold that accompanies this level of release as well. The temperature around Lyzulian and his blades drops by fifty degrees total (as opposed to the original thirty, not in addition to). As a result, on release fog billows out around him for fifty feet.


        Bankai Abilities ::
        [Shadows of Reaility]: At this level the images crafted by Flickers of Reality above cannot be dismissed even when touched and will seem to react however one normally should to being touched or damage. On top of every other sense, they will also feel real at this level. They are capable of handling the spears Gosforth becomes and defending him as active combatants, they can exert up to 100lb of pressure, and block up to 2500lb if they are parrying someone else's strike. He can still make any of the images unable to hurt someone that are crafted in Shikai...however, he can only craft three actual Shadows of Reality. But he can mix and match the 'more real' shades from the false flickers of reality to make the battle field confusing for opponents and allies alike.

        [Shikai Abilities Strengthened]: Shikai abilities are upgraded and still utilized in Bankai but with double effectiveness. Hide in Plain Sight regenerates after a single round, Frozen Heart lasts 14 strikes with each spear and regenerates after 4 posts. Glacial Strike lowers the temperature even further adding +25/+50 (totals of 75/100 respectively).

        [Ice in my Veins]: An alteration to his suspended animation ability, Lyculian freezes parts of his form that aid in swift healing and regeneration. He cannot use this ability on others yet reliably. If he tried to do so it would only last an extremely short time until he's able to practice with it more. He could probably aid them little more than a healing kido and would be better off just using some sort of healing kido than this ability if it came to someone else. Used on himself this form of the ability allows him to regenerate in ongoing combat and the strength is related to the temperature, the colder it is the faster he heals, where the hotter it is the slower he heals.

        [Frostfire]: Unlike in Shikai Gosforth in Bankai is so frigid that he is not destabilized completely by heat or fire. There is such an endless chill at the zanpakuto's core that it can not only destroy a fire or heat attack made against it, but turn it back against it's owner in the opposite end of the spectrum, forging it into frost fire that carries the chill back to those that would turn fire on it. This can only be used three times during the Bankai's release.

        Description: Binds enemies with a Reishi rope to stop their movement. The practitioner generates a crackling yellow energy rope within his/her hand(s) and throws it toward the opponent. The energy entangles itself around the opponent's arms and body, immobilizing them.

        Description: The practitioner, drawing the symbols of the spell in the air, causes his/her entire body to permeate a red energy. The same red energy, engulfing the body of the target, causes complete paralysis.


        Spell Name: Hōrin (崩輪, Disintegrating Circle)

        Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Awaken from your slumber and look on in terror at what you have become!"
        Description: The practitioner, using the index and middle fingers, generates an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns which, ensnaring the opponent as the tendril wraps around their body, immobilizes them. The end of it remains in the hands of the user, allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō can connect with another one of itself, if both have captured a target, and bind them together.
        Note: Canonically, Hourin shares the position of Kidō #9 with Geki, and has the identical incantation. Geki is seen in both the anime and manga, whereas Hourin is solely from an episode of the anime, during a filler arc. As such, I've taken the liberty of moving Hourin to be Bakudo #10 and tweaking its incantation to be different from Geki's, since having two identical Kidō in everything except effect is completely impractical for our purposes. - Akakakushi

        Description: This spell is a cube like barrier of heavenly gold light that surrounds an individual in order to protect them from an attack. Depending on the user, it can withstand quite a bit of force, but after one or two powerful attacks, the barrier will dissolve. If the user of the spell is Captain level, the barrier will last longer than if a Lieutenant or Seated Member were to utilize it.

        Description: This is a barrier that can be used to hide the user, making them invisible. They are only detectable if they let too much of their reiatsu out, and if they are discovered, a gold light forms around them, before the barrier shatters.

        Description: When this technique is used, the target sees the illusion of purple cherry blossoms falling around them. The slightest touch by any spike or even the ground itself will result in the target being frozen to it, binding them to the ice until they can tear themselves free.

        Description: Noren Mekuri is a spell used to nullify types of illusionary effects that may be used to conceal something from view. The practitioner extends their hand and appears as though they are gripping thin air before stripping away the technique that is currently in effect. Doing so creates a light blue and violet aura around the the object that is being revealed as they gradually come into view.


        Spell Name: Kakushitsuijaku (摑趾追雀, Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows)

        Incantation: "Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain."
        Description: Kakushitsuijaku heightens the user's senses and awareness to seize a target. The practitioner draws a circle, with the appropriate symbols set apart in four quadrants upon the ground, using a black powder. When they place their hands palms down just under the circle to activate the spell, the circle glows with a blue light as the symbols within the circle are animated, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.

        Incantation: "Carriage of thunder, bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!"
        Description: The practitioner points his/her index finger at the target, generating a spark of yellow energy, which summons six thin, wide beams of light, which, slamming into a target's midsection, hold them in place. The target is unable to move any part of their body, including the parts which were not struck by the beams.

        Description: The practitioner, generating a blue-white glowing rod of energy in his/her hand, throws it at the intended target. It multiplies into a hundred more rods, which, raining down on the target, pin him or her against a solid surface and completely immobilize them. It is hard to dodge in a small area.

        Description: The practitioner, raising his/her palm up to the target, closes his/her hand into a fist. The user calls forth yellow energy, taking a form of very thick rope, which ensnares the opponent, similar to Bakudō No. 4, but much stronger, instead binding the upper body of the target.

        Description: The user places a finger in front of the victim's face and ball of white energy flashes momentarily before their eyes. The victim is immediately incapacitated and falls to the ground whilst still conscious and aware of what is going on around them.

        Incantation: "Surging storm of spring, give us the protection of the westwind."
        Description: he user creates and surrounds themselves in a small tornado (cloud to ground), which uses intense air currents as protection against outside threats, while also physically attacking the user's surroundings with intense wind. The tornado will pull in anything that has insufficient power to penetrate it or break it, and whatever it pulls in is quickly driven straight into the ground on the outer edge of the funnel, with the force of the tornado's power behind it, following the direction of the funnel's winds. Lightweight materials will hit the ground and spread outwards, similar to exhaust coming from a space shuttle during launch. If an opponent lacks the physical strength to resist the power of the winds, they will be picked up and pulled into the funnel, and will be unable to escape the hold; physical strength becomes irrelevant when the opponent isn't in a position to resist, for instance, if they are in mid-air and cannot fly. The eye of the tornado is 15 feet in diameter, granting the user the room she needs to move about, if necessary.

In addition to reciting the spell, the user must draw specific markings on their arms, which are animated by the spell, to convey the messages.         Description: A highly potent Bakudō used for self defense as well as containment. The Bakudō works by summoning three rune-covered, cylindrical pillars in the shape of a triangle around the user, that then creates a powerful barrier that can withstand even a Gran Rey Cero at point blank range. Conversely, it can also be used by Kidō Grand Masters to detain powerful individuals by creating a situation in which anything the trapped individual does to escape is rebounded onto themselves. This is difficult to do, however, as it requires the user to literally turn the Kidō inside out like one might do to a pocket. The latter both requires time and significant energy, making it unsuitable for combat and only useful for prisoner transport to and from prison.

        Description: This is a special barrier that can actually be used in a few ways. If a shinigami is powerful enough, they can seal an entire building in this spell, not only making it very safe and protected, but, if they choose so, to make it invisible. The only way the building would be exposed would be if someone ran into it. Even if someone found the building, the barrier is very powerful, and takes a lot of force to destroy.

        Description: The technique is considered a Bakudō spell. The technique allows for the creation of a light green, hexagonal barrier that is normally fixed to one central area and, when inactive, remains invisible. Upon contact with an outside force, the barrier enlarges to fully to protect whatever it is affixed to. The barrier protects from the attack keeping it away from the target, gathers the energy in one area, then it momentarily absorbs the energy from the attack and then forces the attack outward away from the shield in effect, dispersing the attack altogether. It is powerful enough to block a point-blank attack with a black Getsuga Tenshō.

It is Capable of defending against up to Kido 96 without being over powered. This barrier leaves the caster stationary, having to enter a state where their reiatsu is constantly fueling this barrier. It is usually only used to protect something or someone if there is high risk of whatever is being protected is trying to be stolen or killed.

        Description: The user, generating high-temperature flames, discharges it from both hands or the finger, in the form of an orb (small, medium, or large depending on the power used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy. In both instances, the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage.

        Description: The practitioner, raising their Zanpakutō horizontally in front of them, generates a yellow orb which widens itself along the length of their sword. Once it is fully charged, it fires outward as a horizontal blast, in a wide arc of yellow energy, at the target. This technique can be launched from the hand instead of a Zanpakutō, albeit producing a shorter arc.

        Description: The practitioner, levitating their Zanpakutō, lightly hits one end, causing it to spin like a fan. The practitioner, stopping it, creates a widening tornado-like blast, which is fired forward toward the target. A hand is usable as a catalyst of the spell if the Zanpakutō is not available.


        Spell Name: Raikōhō (雷吼炮, Thunder Roar Sear)
        Number: 63
        Incantation: Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!"
        Description: The practitioner generates a orb of yellow lighting above the palm of his/her hand. The practitioner can then release the built up energy at his/her target with a massive concentration of energy that appears as a high level lightning strike. The effect has devastatingly destructive results.


        Spell Name: Gaki Rekkō (牙気裂光, Raging Light Fang)

        Description: Creates a circle of energy before firing blasts of green light from its center in a cage-like formation.


        Spell Name: Sōren Sōkatsui (双漣蒼火墜, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)

        Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens."
        Description: An advanced form of Sōkatsui, it has twice the effectiveness. The practitioner generates blue spiritual energy with his/her index and middle fingers. Once that energy is gathered the practitioner can make a push motion using the palms of both hands to push the gathered energy away toward the target in a concentrated blast.


        Spell Name: Gaki Rekkō (牙気裂光, Raging Light Fang)

        Description: This technique creates a circle of energy, before firing blasts of green light from its center in a cage-like formation. These green light blasts are basically spears of light, in which is fired in a rapid formation to overwhelm an opponent. These spears of light have the capability of piercing through even some of the hardest substances before fading away, such as steel, even high classed arrancar herrios.

        Description: This technique makes a blast of spherical, red energy that resembles the color of fire, the size of the sphere is fairly large, being constantly expanding once it starts charging, when released it expands much faster and turns into a massive ball of fire, which explodes on contact in a massive, fiery explosion in which targets could be incinerated or severely burned.


        Spell Name: Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō (飛竜撃賊震天雷炮, Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon)

        Description: The practitioner raises his/her arm forward and outstretched, occasionally using their free hand to grip the firing arm for extra support, with the palm facing flat toward the target, and fires a gigantic beam of electrical and spiritual energy which creates an enormous explosion.

        Incantation: "Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!"
        Description: The practitioner generates a purple/black spiritual energy which, enveloping the target with a powerful torrent of gravity, takes the form of a box of black energy, covered in several spear-like protrusions. The spears, piercing the box, lacerate the one inside from head to toe. When uses with the incantation, the appearance is different, as is the power. The sky appears to darken as multiple boxes of black energy appear, each of them topped off with cross-shaped spears, before they multiply and enclose themselves on their victim. Aizen claims that, at least with the incantation, it has the power to distort space and time.


        Spell Name: Senjū Kōten Taihō (千手皎天汰炮, Thousand-Hand Bright Heaven Culling-Sear)

        Incantation: "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired"
        Description: The user generates around ten pink energy points and fires them all at the same focal point where the intended target resides. The culminating explosion is exceedingly devastating.


        Spell Name: Hyōga Seiran (氷河晴嵐, Glacier Vapor Storm)
        Number: 92
        Incantation: Unknown
        Description: This spell fires a massive wave of ice capable of freezing its targets, or parts of targets just through contact, and surrounding area. It is seen to be strong enough to destroy a group of Menos Grande through sheer power. Showing this can easily be used to take out a large area of structures or used to take on multiple opponents in a single blow. Though its effects aren't that of a burning explosion, this technique has incredible force through momentum like an avalanche, as well as the ability to restrict opponents from going at their full level. It is also strong enough to go through Dankū.


        Spell Name: Hyōga Seiran (氷河晴嵐, Glacier Vapor Storm)

        Incantation: Unknown
        Description: Fires a massive wave of ice which can freeze its targets and the surrounding area. It is strong enough to destroy a group of Menos Grande with its sheer power and go through Dankū, which can block any destructive spell numbered 89 or less, though it took around fifteen seconds to do so.

        Spell Name: Sentan Hakuja (千反白蛇, Thousand-Coil White Snake)

        Incantation: None
        Description: This technique utilizes the use of the long, white piece of cloth that is spun around to incorporate targets within it's coils. The cloth tightens before, with a white flash, teleports the targets to another location.

        Spell Name: Keikaigi (繫界儀, World-Tying Rite)
        Type: Unclassified
        Incantation: "My right hand is the stone that bridges worlds. My left hand is the blade that binds reality. The black-haired shepherd is hung from a chair. Stratus clouds come, and I strike down the ibis."
        Description: This technique connects the space tying two worlds together to produce a Garganta. The opening is generated between two large wooden posts jutting out from two large rock formations. He is later able to open the portal silently and whenever he chooses.

        Spell Name: Jikanteishi (時間停止, Temporal Stasis)

        Incantation: Unknown
        Description: A spell which halts time in a specific area.

        Zanjutsu :: Lyzulian is better with his blades/and or spear, than he is hand to hand (which he actively avoids as much as possible: below). He does have some techniques to show this, but not as many as some captains might. Most of his techniques simply utilize his speed:

        Technique Name: Hitotsume: Nadegiri (一つ目・撫で斬り, The First: Killing Stroke)
        Description: A precision cut of extreme force and speed which can casually slice through large, multi-story high opponents protected by steel skin. This slash is so precise and swift, its victims are not even aware of it until after it has taken place.

        Technique Name: Senmaioroshi (千枚卸, Thousand-Page Wholesale)
        Description: Multiple extremely fast blade movements take place, shredding a target into pieces.

        Technique Name: Shitonegaeshi (褥返し, Cushion Return)
        Description: Aims to subdue an opponent and immobilize them on the ground using coercion alone. Urahara suspends the tip of his cane millimeters from his opponent's face after he has already struck them down.

        Technique Name: Hōzan Kenbu (崩山剣舞, Fallen-Mount Sword Dance) - He is working on this technique but has not mastered it. If he attempts to use it seriously he is likely to leave himself open to attack following it.

        Hakuda :: No skills of this level. Lyzulian is not great at hand to hand and often utilizes his many spells and skills to remain well out of reach whenever possible.

        Hohō :: Of the many combative skills of the Shinigami, Lyzulian has most mastered this one. He in incredibly fast even without the aid of his zanpakuto's gliding ability and he is able to use two special techniques.

        Technique Name: Utsusemi (空蝉, Cast-Off Cicada Shell)
        Description: The practitioner moves at great speed to avoid an attack, leaving an afterimage which can appear to have taken damage.


        Technique Name: Speed Clones
        Description: The practitioner creates at least 15 clones of themselves at once using Shunpo. While they are indistinguishable from the user's true self and mimic their movements, the clones do not last long.
