WELCOME TO ROUND TWO!
Aurostibite and Xenotime have congratulated you upon making it to round two of the tournament! The rules this round are the same as the last!
OOC RULES:
- You have 72 hours to complete the battle! If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact either Beejoux or kuropeco privately through AIM or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

o god what did i get myself into this second time around
Second round.
Round two.
Sarabauite was not at all excited as she was before. She was pleased as punch for her victory and to be congratulated by Aurostibite, but that excitement seem to dissipate completely when she had to start from scratch. Which meant duking it out with another lieutenant. Which meant not only getting herself, but another member of the Negaverse hurt.
Could she even do it a second time?
Again, she didn't summon her weapon as it was a measly bookmark, so she strode into the arena the second time with her hands empty, but balled into fists. Her ankle still hurt to high heaven and back from her fight with Arsenopyrite, but any bumps of bruises were treated well.
"H-hello, fair fight, I guess?" Sarabauite said, pursing her lips. "Let's just, um, give it our all..."

Lt. Serpierite
To be honest, she hadn't expected to get past the first round. But now that she was.. it would be wise if she entered this with the intention to win, rather than just simply gaining experience.
All in all though, her opponent surprised her. A similarly cute girl. She thought she might be facing one of the others she observed in the other matches, but her surprise didn't mean she was any less prepared. After all, it would be foolish for her to be deceived into thinking this would be an easy battle by appearance. With a smile, "Hello there. Lt. Serpierite at your service." Crossing one hand over her chest, she executed a customary bow -- as a monitored fight could afford them etiquette. She easily materialized her wooden sword as she straightened up. "I look forward to our fair fight." As long as the other lieutenant kept her promise, Serpierite would have no trouble keeping her own promise.

HP: 20/20 DMG: 2 The outcome of the first strike was decided. Even though it didn't determine a victory, it allowed a slight advantage. With a decisive strike, she aimed for the young lieutenants abdomen.

Captain Wolfeite (spectating)
He was watching Serpierite's fight again, though Wolfeite had prowled around to a few of the other battles to see how they were faring as well. His dark, furred ears were pressed back into his hair, tail flicking lazily behind him, and were it not for the fact that he had a perpetually hungry expression in his eyes most of the time, he almost would have looked relaxed.
A part of Wolfeite wished he had decided to enter the tournament himself, simply so that he could get the rush that fighting and violence always brought, but he could get that anywhere. He saw no point in catering to the masses, not when he didn't care for most of them. The others were not, it seemed, involved in the tournament either, except for Tourmaline, and she'd been disqualified in the first round. Wolfeite had watched that battle as well, though silently from the shadows, where he felt he belonged better than the rest of them.
He did not care about the outcome of the match, nor even, really, about Serpierite or her opponent. But it was interesting to watch how people fought, and Wolfeite was using it as an opportunity to learn himself - of their weaknesses, of their strengths. What abilities people had, and how they used them. He could glean a great deal from simple observation, and this was no different.
He did not sit. Wolfeite leaned against a wall and kept his arms folded across his chest, golden eyes gleaming as they watched the two young women begin their fight. One ear swiveled forward, and then the other followed, until both were alert and listening, posture relaxed in spite of this.

"O-oh, uh..."
The sudden bow put Sarabauite on an awkward edge. She hadn't experienced such formality with Arsenopyrite, was it a mandatory thing? She tried to do it herself; hovering her arms outward from her sides and bending at the waist. As she did this, she was taken completely off guard as Serpierite launched at her abdomen, and felt the wind knocked out of her when the strike hit. She stumbled back, coughing.
"O-ow..." she muttered, but figuring the likely close proximity of her opponent, tried to strike at her in return.

HP: 19/20 Damage: 3
The other lieutenant, for save of a better word, was quite cute in her attempts to gracefully bow. Serpierite had no idea of her age, but from the atmosphere surrounding her -- she could surmise the lieutenant was quite new to the ways of the negaverse and its battles. "Please don't hold it against me." She said with an apologetic look, not having expected the other lieutenent to be unprepared. She certainly hadn't meant it as a sneak attack..
But really though, she wasn't one to judge either. It wasn't as if she was a seasoned veteran, mostly for lack of effort. They were on equal playing feilds, even if she didn't quite know what weapon the other yielded..
A bit of pain ran through her forearm at the hit, which was used to block most of the damage. She gathered that some damage was inflicted, but not much. She returned Sarabauite's hit with a light kick, mindful of the damage she had inflicted accidentally in her first fight.
Unoderi no worries!! and i'm gonna say you hit 1 damage because it seems you rolled a 6 sided dice OAO so... technically, its already subtracting 2 ;D lets allow that hit!

"A-ah, n-no hard— Owowow!"
Sarabauite tried to step away from the light kick, but it still made contact. It didn't help either that she stumbled back on her aching ankle, causing her to reel in pain. As she tried to collect herself, Sarabauite pushed her red frames higher up on the bridge of her nose and tried coming at Serpierite again with a punch.
"H-here I come!" she cried.

She was sent stumbling back for the surprisingly strong punch, pain tearing through her abdomen. She let a pained look cross her face, the pain causing her hit to miss her opponent entirely.
"T-thanks for the advance notice?" It was a first, and polite even for her -- bordering on naivety.

"You're, uh, you're w-welcome?"
Sarabauite couldn't help a small, sheepish laugh. Honestly, this had to be the most polite fight she ever experienced.
Not that she duked it out with people on an occasional basis.
Or ever.
Coming at Serpierite again, she summoned her metal bookmark, and slashed at her fellow lieutenant.

The metal bookmark neatly cut her arm, causing Serpierite to leap back with the bleeding wound. "So that's your weapon?" She tilted her head, with no judgement. It was well known that their lieutenant weapons were a joke. But to honest, she was quite surprised by how much damage a bookmark could inflict.
Even though her arm felt numb from the blood loss, she gripped her wooden sword more firmly. A quick glance to feint to the right, she quickly pivoted to hit her opponent from the left. Unoderi didnt mean to quote you yet sorry crying

[Captain Pyrophanite - Spectator]
Pyro didn't think Serp would recognize him in the form he had now, so watching her against the other lieutenant was kind of just enjoyable to him, even if he could only see heat like blobs. He could make her out by her willowly slim form.
Not like he had a small crush or anything, she was just kind of like flawless agile and polite, defenitly things he wasn't interested in.
Haüyne had taken advantage of his body already after all, using him as a ice pack and wrapping themself up in bandages. Their battle was next, and he was going to make sure to hit it up, because no way would he miss his bestie fighting.
But for just a moment, he watched how Serp moved and felt envious of her resolute form and the ease she used it. He was pretty sure he was like a sack of potatoes against the two fighters.

"A-ah, s-sorry!" Sarabauite apologized, glancing at the blood on her weapon and fresh cut she made on Serpierite. "I didn't... I d-didn't think I would strike that hard! B-but, yes, it, um, it is!"
She got a clean hit on her left that caused her to stumble again, applying pressure to her ankle that was getting a good beating here. Feeling that she deserved it, Sarabauite came at her opponent again with the bookmark squeezed tight between her hands.

Sarabauite really was giving her a run for her money; the lieutenant taking another searing hit to her body. It didn't cut very deep, but it felt like she had been cleaved by an iron.
It was a bookmark, but it was metal. Used correctly, it did pack quite a hit.. "How unpleasant" She grimaced, obviously not referring to the lieutenant herself but to her very annoying weapon. Her entire body was aching.. and she was probably close to her limits. After her last battle, that wasn't very surprising.
Catching a quick glimpse of Pyro, a bystander, she certainly didn't recognize him. But she did acknowledge him as a spectator.

"Oh god... O-oh god, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to, I...!"
Sarabauite could only retract a few steps and curse herself for this sudden explosion of strength. She was hitting too hard, taking this too seriously...
She shouldn't be harming her fellow Negaverse agents like this!
But at the same time, the drive of adrenaline was there and it was urging her to continue. To finish this until the end. So with great reluctance, she came at Serpierite again with the bookmark in her hands, her fingers trembling.
