WELCOME TO ROUND TWO!
Aurostibite and Xenotime have congratulated you upon making it to round two of the tournament! The rules this round are the same as the last!
OOC RULES:
- You have 72 hours to complete the battle! If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact either Beejoux or kuropeco privately through AIM or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Cavansite was still unsure how she had managed to make it through the first round of the tournament…and win, none the less. Regardless of how it had happened…it had happened. And here she stood, ready for her second round, her side bandaged up. She had let herself change back to Karone briefly, if only to mend the tear in her uniform—there was no sense fighting and looking like she had been through hell. That would only give whoever she would be fighting an upper hand that she didn’t want them to have.
Right now...well. Right now she was feeling quite full of herself. On a high from the victory, and ready to meet the challenge ahead.
Maybe…should she even dare hope that she might win this tournament? Wouldn’t that be something. Indeed it would.
Indeed it would.
The captain turned her gaze to the one she would be fighting this time, and saw…that it was a senshi. Interesting. She had seen the corrupted senshi before…though from afar…and she had never had the pleasure of interacting with one. Or fighting one. “Hello there. I am Captain Cavansite. It’s very nice to meet you, I do hope you’re ready for this.”
She smiled, and it was quite a challenging smile. Against a senshi, she was sure to win, right? Easy peasy.

Haüyne had used some of the tourney used bandages for the early cuts left by Tourmaline. The worse was the swollen cheek and bruised eye that still watered a little, blurring the vision on that side a hair. bandages weren't any good for a facial robin's egg, unless it was to hold an ice pack in place. Thankfully, a cold-blooded, half youma friend in a cave system was like a portable cooler, so the Corrupted had claimed him and leaned forward to bury the swollen cheek against his shoulder and neck until the call came for bout 2. Aw man, another officer. Which meant another weapon. An swords don't need reloading. But my magic does. You know, I used to be like 'hey Bus, we'll get you a baseball bat to carry around.' I should be carrying one around myself. What's this one gonna slice and dice with?
'Gnawing, biting, breaking, hacking, buuuurning...' "Haüyne the Machine, " It was said with a thumb indicating to self and plain entertainment at the lame rhyme. "Good to meet another BAMF with a plan. I'm ready to rumble!"

Said half youma was grumbling up in the stands, looking down at Haüyne blob and her enemy blob and just...flailing his arms about. The corrupt had used him for just a second (not that he minded) and then left him to start her next round.
he couldn't see the other captain, but could tell it was another girl. He leaned against the bar separating them from the fighters and squinted.
"You got this Haüyne!"

Corrupt Haüyne of ExecutionAw yiiiih Having a friend in the stands helped make the tourney a lot more awesome. Even if it was a wash, and the floor got mopped with red and blue senshi colors, there was someone there to laugh about it with. Haüyne gave a salute to the reffing generals and then shot off into a sprint. Parkour practice and stuff worked in that movie Troy right? All with the leaping practically up and aiming down? Even if 'punching down' was technically a BAD idiom. The corrupted went full steam for the captain before springing into aerial at the last moment and hoping for a connect somewhere. __________________________ 30 HPRoll 1: 6-2 = 4 dmg

Why did they all insist on going right for her head? Cavansite still had a throbbing headache from where Quartz had smacked her with her own spear, and she winced at the new pain that flooded her head from this crazy…and quick…senshi.
“Damn! Watch the head would you? I feel like if I get hit there again I’ll scream, do you hear me?” She reached a hand up and tried to swat at Haüyne’s fist, but hardly managed to stumble away. Damn heads. She couldn’t concentrate on anything. First round hit of the second round…and she couldn’t focus enough to bother doing anything.

Corrupt Haüyne of ExecutionThe corrupted landed with the triumph-feeling of a connect, but startled at the sudden yelling. It doesn't work that way does it? I mean...we can't just call 'no this or that' mid fight unless everyone agrees on it? Who do you think you are, Mr. Fancy-Pants?? Making weird, puzzled faces at the captain and not focusing meant that the follow-up punch didn't track along with the dodging away at all, and whiffed harmlessly where Cavansite had BEEN standing but was not standing in. Kinda embarrassing. "It's how boxer's get all the K.O's if it isn't in the neck, yo? Captain Tourmaline - Spectator The black and pink Captain was still nursing her own bruises from her battle with the corrupted senshi-- Not that they were really what she was thinking about as she took a seat not far from the Captain who had been seated near Sailor Dia. No, Captain Tourmaline was used to getting knocked around and bruises weren't anything new. Being able to feel the senshi's tongue on her skin, though? That might have drawn her to watch the next round. Maybe it was a diversion tactic. Shouldn't knock it, Kat. It worked. "Show her what you're made of, Haüyne! You didn't beat me just to lose!"

Cavansite winced at the new words and took a few more steps back, shrugging helplessly. “I mean, are we really mindless boxers? Don’t we fight for a higher cause…aren’t we supposed to be better than that at least to each other? And who told you it was okay to say ‘yo’ all the time. I don’t think that word has any place outside of…well. Maybe the internet.”
Her head felt like it was splitting open…well. Maybe she should just surrender. Surrender and get home with a nice cup of tea and a bottle of aspirin.
What the hell? Was she serious right now? Surrender? Her? Cavansite?
“You know what, on second thought, ignore all I’ve said but the part about the yo-ing. That part remains, and if you say yo one more time, I’m going to smack the word out of you, got that?” She folded her arms and tried very hard to smirk past the throbbing in her skull. It was getting harder and harder to do that, however and the smirk quickly turned into a grimace instead. Oh well. She had to finish this, it was expected of her. She expected it of herself.HP: 26

You gotta chip on that shoulder-" A follow up try at jabbing right at one of the uniform-clad arms. Hoping it would land there or chest, or back, or somewhere to effectively clock some air out of Cavansite. "Better make sure it doesn't fall off!" "Pugilism's been an Olympic sport with art all the way back to the Minoans, cream puff, you gotta lotta words before you can convince me that boxers aren't nothin' but brute beasts with no understanding. You probably never even been to a match. It's got rule and honor and plenty going on. " Not that the corrupted was particularly invested one way or another in boxing, other than seeing some guys in a ring from time to time at the gym where there were some non-traditional set ups for practicing parkour on the other side of the room. And some memories...here and there. Watching some sort of movies or series with stodgy men talking about that same sort of honor and dishonor stuff and stiff upper lip and all that in regards to the ye olde boxing. Or bareknuckle? I wonder if I'VE ever been to a match. Like a match match, and not watching things on a a screen or scripted in a fiction. Huh. I wonder is Bus has been to anything like that.
