It'd been some time. Real life obligations. School, commissions, and then the sudden and rigorous training schedule Beringia had dictated in light of a botched battle attempt. Time had gotten away from her, but she still thought about what Caedus was doing since that eventful night. She wanted to talk to him...even if she wasn't exactly sure what she'd say, but she also wanted to make sure he was alright too, especially after what happened that night. Thus Sedna had been combing the woods for quite some time, starting sometime in the afternoon. She had also started from where she had last seen him, and went from there. Even being powered, and a Super level now, it was still like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Sedna grimaced briefly, stopping at the edge of a creek, and adjusted the bag she had brought, full of some supplies she thought might be helpful to the man. Possibly. Hopefully. Her tried focusing again, trying to see if she could find any trace of his signature, and also contemplated bellowing at the top of her lungs.

An eerie silence had descended on the forested area; a short time ago, the bugs had stopped chirping, and the night time wildlife seemed surprisingly absent. There was life in the woods, but it seemed to be quiet, and watching keenly. Occasionally, the wind would rustle a branch, but everything seemed still, and silent. Until a branch cracked just a few yards away. A shadowy figure stiffened immediately; for someone stealthy enough to escape the Negaverse's attention for so long, Caedus seemed to flounder frequently enough—and even had the mind to mumble an apology to the stick he'd stepped on before making a disgruntled noise, no doubt chastising himself for his mistakes. Attempting to salvage some sense of appearances, he turned to face the figure—and froze. "Oh," he said, suddenly; his voice had a rusty sound to it. The gravel was still there but it seemed his voice was at least a bit more healthy than it had been a few weeks ago. "You." It was not the most graceful greeting, but Caedus seemed as though he had just woken, or was in another world entirely—freshly broken from thoughts he'd lost himself in. He had no cape to replace the one that had been taken from him, though he did seem to have fashioned a makeshift cloak out of one of the blankets donated to him. As if his manners suddenly returned to him, he greeted, "Hello."

Sedna's expression lit up a mall with Christmas decorations after Black Friday at the appearance of Caedus. She counted herself lucky in that moment, as she beamed at him. "Hello!" She then wasted no time in crossing the distance between them, shifting the bag at her side to the front, and clutching it tightly with excitement. "I'm so glad to see you! I was looking for you, and hoped you were doing okay out here---are you?" She asked, her eyes going wide for a moment. "Because I also brought you some things!" She nodded to her bag, and then looked back up at him. "Ah, also!" One of Sedna's hands left her bag to thrust out to him. "We weren't properly introduced last time---" She gave a bit of an embarrassed giggle at that. "My name is Sedna! I'm the Senshi of Ships!"

Initially, Caedus seemed to tense when she drew near with her bag, but he quickly forced himself to relax. The shadows on his face hid the soft smile that graced his features all too easily, but his posture seemed to indicate that he had relaxed. "It is good to have a name for the face. I wondered who I should be thanking. It is nice to meet you," he said, and though he clearly had reservations about physical contact, he did not hesitate—for long—before he reached out his hand to shake hers. He had rebandaged it, with scraps from what looked to be another sheet, but through the thin layers of cloth it was clear to tell that his hand was cool. "I am happy enough to make your acquaintance officially, you did not need to bring gifts," he insisted, but it seemed out of courtesy only. His clothes were dirtied and tattered, and he was moving constantly. His supply of food had dwindled to nothing and he was living off the land, with what small aid he could receive from others—when they could find him. "…I hope you did not get in too much trouble after we parted ways, last?"

"Oh, gosh, no need to thank me---" She replied, sheepishly. "I didn't really do anything---" The coolness of his hand made her stop abruptly in surprise and fascination, but she didn't make a fuss about it---after all, Caedus wasn't from Earth. She couldn't help but ask though: "Is it normal for you to run cool? I just want to make sure you're feeling okay!" Not that...she'd know what to do if he was sick, but she'd try her hardest! "I know." Sedna replied, "But I wanted to!" She answered in earnest. "I couldn't imagine just wandering around out here constantly---" The senshi knelt and placed the bag on the ground, where she unzipped it, and then opened it. She riffled through some items, leaning back so that she could show them off to the man. "Hm? Oh! No, not at all!" She assured him. "What about you? Were you alright once you got away?" Sedna looked back down at the bag. "Alright---here's what I could get online and at the thrift store---" She then proceeded to rifle through the clothes stash, which included big t-shirts, pants, sweats, and stuff of that variety, which indeed, came from a thrift store. Also in the bag, was another cloak---which was actually an Arwen cloak relica from Lord of the Rings---cosplay cloak. It was decent quality, and Sedna---Olga---had been able to get it on her college budget because it'd been discounted. It did have a large stain on it...but she hoped he wouldn't mind. Once all the clothes had been shown off, and she then dug to the other side to show him some food. Once again, it was stuff she could buy in bulk and could actually afford. Chips, beef jerky, rice krispy treats, and etc. The senshi stood, picking up the bag, and then holding it out to him. "I hope this will be okay! I can get you more, or if there's something you're missing or need, just say the word!"

"I think it is normal, though I confess, I do not think I have much to compare it to," he said apologetically; he reached one of his hands to rest on the other but shrugged and could not seem to make a good call of it. He watched her with fascination, but the gesture made him pause. She was presenting him with a sizable bag, and he seemed humbled by the gesture. "Are you certain?" he asked, and reached to carefully take the bag. While the food was of immediate interest to him, and his stomach churned loudly to assert its approval, it was the cloak which caught his eye. "…Earth's fashion has changed much of what I remember. But I am grateful. I look forward to a change of clothes. But," he hesitated and couldn't help but reach to brush his fingers along the fabric of the cloak. His voice softened, and was laced with gratitude. "…This was very thoughtful of you. I do not know if you understand how much this means to me. I am in your debt, truly."

"More than certain!" She assured him, and gave a bit of a laugh. "Yeah, I imagine so, huh? To be around as long as you said you have been!" The senshi flushed a bit from the gratitude and praise, but shook her head a bit. "It's no problem at all---I'm really glad this little bit can help! Please, think nothing of it!" With her now free hands, she poited her fingers together, growing sheepish now. "I um---hope it's okay to ask but---I was wondering if we could---talk?" She gave him a bit of an embarrassed grin. "I want to learn more things---but at the same time I...don't really know what to ask. I haven't been at this whole---" She made a looping gesture with a finger, "Magic thing very long, and it's like being thrown into the deep end of a pool without a floatie---" Her lips twisted, as she looked at him, looking a bit alarmed and hopeful. "If that's alright with you, of course!"

Caedus wasted little time in fastening the cloak; he was already incredibly fond of it and once it was on he seemed to relax a bit. The rags and sheets discarded, he seemed to stand a little taller. "You may ask me anything," he assured, "And I will do my best to answer." He might not have understood her reference—floatie, pool—but he was inspired enough by her kindness to do what he could for her. "If you do not have any questions, we can talk about anything you like. I have seen much in my life, I am happy to talk about it. Most of it," he amended a second later. He didn't dwell on the thought for long; he gestured towards a sizeable log—the best makeshift seating he had to offer—and took a seat, himself. He was overly cautious with the cloak, however, and seemed to take great care not to sit on it or let it get dirty. "How long have you been involved in…'the whole magic thing'?"

Sedna brightened considerably, and she seemed relieved as well that he was open to talking. She laughed a bit as she came over to take a seat next to him on the log, brushing back the tails of her boat as she sat. The super senshi plucked off her hat and set it next to her on the log. "Well---don't worry, the questions are coming." She grinned a bit sheepishly at him. "Not terribly long to be honest. A few months shy of a year..." She stared off into the forest for a moment, her lips twisting in thought before she looked back at him. "Sorry---this will probably sound dumb, or---I can imagine maybe others have asked you this before I just---" Sedna hesitated once more. "I...don't get why we're fighting and what for. I mean, the obvious stuff, like stopping the youma, saving innocent people who can't help themselves, stopping the Negaverse from doing harm---I get that, but it's the why they are doing that I don't get, and, if you really have been around for quite a while...I was hoping you'd be able to tell me more. Stopping them from doing things to hurt others---yeah, that's good, but at the same time I don't feel like I'm...making in progress towards the bigger picture, which is to...stop them permanently, yeah?" She looked at him and waited, uncertain and hopeful for some enlightenment. "I'm sorry! This is vague, huh?"

Caedus did not seem particularly hesitant to respond with a blunt, “Yes,” but he did not seem to do so in a hostile or condescending manner. “But you do not need to apologize for it. That is, I am afraid, not a question I have the answer to. Why anyone fights is a personal reason. Sometimes people fight to fight,” he shrugged. “But I doubt that is the case of the Negaverse. I cannot speak for the Senshi of this world, or even for the Queen of the Moon. I knew Beryl, but not as well a I thought I did. She is gone now, and yet her army is still fighting. I can only imagine what reasons they have.” He shuddered and his lip curled just slightly, clear disdain on his features. It slipped away when he forced it to. “I wish I could tell you what her plans are, what their plans are, to give you motivation and answers, but all I know is that the Negaverse is a poison. A toxin that thrives in unrest. You are asking,” he asked after a moment, “What is the end game for those who oppose the Negaverse?” It was a rhetorical question; he answered after he’d taken a few seconds to consider an answer. “I think, yes. It should be to stop them permanently. I do not know if they have any ability to do anything but destroy. They have proven to me that words mean nothing. Promises mean nothing. They are a plague, a sickness, that will devour the world. They have the advantage that they are organized. The Senshi need to do the same. You could be a powerful force if you worked towards it. Who are your tacticians? Who are your military leaders?”

Sedna's hopeful expression dimmed considerably the longer Caedus went on. She had been placing a lot of hope in the idea that he must be an ancient walking encyclopedia. While she knew he knew WAY MORE than she could ever hope to, it was still somewhat disheartening to find out there was no clear and definitive answer as to why they were fighting this war. As the questions were turned on her though, the senshi couldn't help but appear as a deer in the headlights. Tacticians? Military leaders? She stared at him for a long moment in silence before she slowly started to shake her head a bit. "I...don't know, to be honest. I don't know if Order has any tacticians or military leaders and if they do...then I don't know them." Sedna's brow knitted in thought. "I don't see a lot of senshi...rarely any while I'm out. When we were all gathered when you appeared, Caedus...that was really the first time I had seen so many all in one place! And well..." She trailed off for a moment, looking off to the side before looking back at him. "And even then, it..." Sedna grimaced. "It didn't go well, did it? Everyone was asking you a million different questions and there was no...cohesion or unity behind it, huh?"

Caedus didn’t consider his response for long; he shook his head slightly and allowed his eyes to fall to the ground. “The meeting did not go as well as I had hoped. But I was optimistic and driven and I should have accounted for the hostilities and rejection. But I was a fool and rushed into things. I will not make the same mistake again. But I cannot blame the response that I got. I should have been more aware that there did not seem to be a clear leader. It means that everyone has their own motivation and drive but it does not mean that your kind functions as a team. There is much disarray but I do not know if that is something that can be corrected. There are too few that seem to want to work together. But there are too many differing ideals.” He shook his head; there was too much to consider; the Senshi were a haphazard bunch who could barely get along—much less function well enough to succeed anywhere. “It is not what I am used to. But then,” he glanced around. “I am not used to any of this. I am sorry. I do not mean to speak of things so despairingly. I am surprised that there is not more effort to unite you, though. The Negaverse has the advantage of leaders and tacticians. But I still have faith in you and your kind. I hope I have not offended you.”
